LOST
Prisonbreak
House
Vanished
Bones
Heroes
The Nine
I should start making up TV show names too. How about:
Openings
Smoke
Underneath
Restless
Apple
Cup
Salt
Cell
...other random stuff I see near me, I could go on all day.

seriously guys, if you get offended when someone mentions that they think people watch too much tv these days, then you are probably watching too much tv.
i think everyone is getting a little too emotional over this topic. come on guys, it's tv for god's sake. everyone take a chill pill. either that or we need to have an ezabel royal rumble.
Ok, I'm in! But it has to be all the hot girls versus me.
what hot girls? oooooohhhh
awww come on, why did you delete the rest of the journal? who cares if anyone takes offense....besides you were just expressing how YOU felt. we can NEVER tell you how or what to feel. so what if we dont agree...we're not going to die, we'll express our own opinions too and make fun of each other and get a good laugh. thats all
OH and i think YOU do watch more tv than you let on, i admit to watching and i've NEVER heard of the shows you mentioned minus prisonbreak and lost. LOL
shouldn't have deleted it! boo urns
I guess I can say that everyone likes different stuff... entertainment is anything that gets us to relax. I mean yeah... i hate most of these shows listed, but only cause i feel like i have enough drama in my own life, why do i wanna deal someone elses, lol. But if you guys like it... hey rock on...
dont knock my belly dancing tho... i KNOW you guys wanna see THAT!
a couple of shows i am/have been addicted too and wasted hours upon hours of my life watching:
Monty Python's Flying Circus
The State
STELLA (btw, i ordered my DVD a month ago, where is it!?)
Arrested Development
Family Guy
Seinfeld
I like the part about "OMG! what time is it!???! I have to get home and watch (insert TV show here)".
I think it's funny that this comes from a guy who's skipping our meeting to watch the giants game as it happens. Sports are equally pathetic to TV shows.
Truth told, yes, I try to catch every episode of 24 when it comes out. I'll catch a football game or two (basically the superbowl is all I care about). So, if you consider me pathetic, that's okay. But remember you're right in there with us, buddy. :D
noob'd
i should actually take this back, because I'm not 100% on it, but it has happened before.
let's just announce stuff that we're not sure about to everybody and try to make matt look like a jerk
haha... yeah i know i'm a lame-o too, what can i say, i love sports. although i've never skipped going to the meeting just to watch a game, so i dont know where you're getting that one from.
for some reason i get the feeling people might be taking this a little to personally when really it wasn't directed at anybody. just about how i think watching tv for hours on end is a waste of time and how i personally don't connect with a lot of shows on tv... maybe i should delete it?
i deleted the end part of this journal, i re-read it and maybe it did sound like i was calling people on ezabel, some of whom i consider my close and even best friends "pathetic" which i really didn't mean to do. i love you guys and i'm seriously sorry if anybody was offended.
maybe we can try to agree on a show that we all think is lame. i'll put up a poll
hahaha a poll is always a great last resort
can we do polls anymore?
not working yet
don't delete it, dude. this is more funny than anything. if anyones feeling burned-- well, good. they should go out and hike it off.
chances are i watch more shows than a lotta people. i watch 4-5 shows a week. Lost, House, Kidnapped, 6 Degrees, and another that escapes me now... anyway, it's all in good fun.
I was very specifically saying OUR meeting. Not the day's meeting. Sorry if it sounded like that. It did sound a burn on everyone on eZabel.
ok, but that's not why i wasn't at our meeting sunday
that's why I posted a "okay, I retract my statement" statement, since I really just was assuming, haha. I don't know where it went though. I think it got deleted. I said something to the effect that I was being completely unfair, and would like to retract my statement. Maybe I dreamed that up. But I MEANT to do it, so I will do it nowwww.
ok well why dont you go eat a chinchilla!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
that's actually number 2 on my "to do" list.
HAHAHAHAHA
How about i dont care what you say cause you are gay pretty boy. Yeah, thats my opinion and im entitled to it.
Let me be the one to say, that the month of October is here, and baseball is THE thing to watch. Forget these panzy sitcoms and reality and george of the jungle shows. The cool people watch the playoffs!!!!
HA! when i watch tv i try to use as little energy as possible. i just focus on relaxing my whole body, and letting the tv melt my brain. eventually i start drooling, and fall asleep with ice cream stains all over my shirt. i's great.
do you soil your shorts?
yes
i think this is from calvin and hobbes
wait a sec.
is this about your girlfriend
haha nah, she's not that bad. the deal is that she watches football with me, and i watch one of her shows with her
why watch other people play sports why not go out and play sports
cuz i enjoy doing both. cuz i'm balanced. like mary poppins, i'm practically perfect in every way. deal with it.
but why would you watch other people's lives when you can go out and live yours??
your argument not mine!
oh snap!
haha
i also enjoy a balance of living my life and watching other people live theirs
Can you imagine being on your deathbed and contemplating the fact that you spent YEARS of your life laying on a couch hoping that a team you like would win next
let's not be that guy
i don't think watching a 3 hour football game once every week or two or 3 months a year is the same thing as plopping down every day and watching the tube for 4 hours a day, every day. i was talking about people who spend hours upon hours each day watching tv. if u wanna defend that, and say it's healthy to do that, fine. but i think it's a waste of time, and that's my opinion whether it's right or wrong, i'm entitled to it, and you're entitled to yours too.
oh yeah those people are luzrs
amen my brother!!
How about the venture bros?
haha good call! BROCK get over here!
I def agree! Our time is much better spent complaining about people who watch tv then watching tv
come nighttime, i'll throw on the TV soemtimes BUT it doesnt mean i'm not doing anything else...i could be cleaning, reading studying, texting, doing laundry talking on the phone, practicing belly dancing. i'm ADD LOL
I do the same thing - I used to read magazines, sew, or do other busy work while watching tv. Now I play DS at the same time as I'm watching 90210. Our whole generation is like, incapable of doing just one thing at a time, I think.
If I'm watching TV I'll be knitting or reading...who can just sit still and watch?
I love 90210.
Wow. I'm feeling less and less original, speaking of belly dancing... I've been looking for a good hip sash and I found this place in the mall (Garden State Plaza to be sure) that has awesome accessories...there's a purple sash w/ coins I'm IN LOVE with!
Hahaha! There's a belly dancing class at my gym, but I'd feel awkward taking it because all the other women in the class are like stick figures, and I'd be the fattest one there. NOT great for my self-esteem.
seriously most belly dancers arent stick thin, there was this one girl in my class that had what i thought was a great body, but our instructor told her she should gain weight cause it wasnt attractive when you belly dance. LOL our instructor was curvy and she looked hot doing the routines. im like "yeah this is MY kinda style" LOL
You should totally take it it'll trim and tone you (but you'll still be curvy I know a sister that did this Italian so natural curvacious awesomeness), the stupid stick girls should feel foolish. I'm gaining weight and let me just tell you MY HIPS DON'T LIE, they might knock you over but, they don't lie...lol!
so they have good prices? like how much was the coin sash?
I think the different sinds very but starting at like 30-ish
i think house looks totally demo. that's my opinion though.
i had that thought too! something is "off"
HUH?? did i miss something?
i know the show switched to wednesdays so i'll never watch it now
but i caught it a couple times on Tuesday, that show is AWESOME
what's demonic about a genius doctor?
Ditto. What are you guys talking about?
i started watching House this season and i haven't seen anything to support this. it appears he's just a very smart, jerky doctor with a drug problem who gambles with peoples health and conditions to feed his compulsive need to solve medical puzzles. do you have info i don't have? i haven't seen the other seasons.
yeah that's what i'm talkin about, i have seen a couple episodes this season and a couple repeats over the summer and .. yeah nothing demo
and i hate anything with even a hint of demo stuff so wouldn't i catch it?
unless something happened in the episode last night, i duno
Never saw House. But that actor is really funny. Watch Jeeves & Wooster. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0098833/
Micky mouse is more demo than house
I watch the tv a lot, but I usually forget to turn it on
I definately agree with this Why are we watching other people live their lives when we could be out there, living ours!?. I'm not a huge tv buff anywayze but, I will watch certain things now and again. I don't have the time to dedicate to know what's happening or follow one or several series at once. I need the time to study for my meetings and get things done for work, not to mention increasing my time in service. My new habit is rewarding myself with a book or video from the library ('cause FREE) and then watch it after a meeting or a long service day =)
first i have to say, i dont watch tv at all, i dont even have cable. Buut... the POINT of tv, OR movies for that matter is to be entertained. To see things happen to people that would never ever happen to you. Take for instance Lost, how many people would be in that situation, plane crash, stranded on an island. Thats why people watch, becuase in our normal every day lives you wouldnt see that.
just how i feel.
being on the computer and playing video games ALLLLLL day is the same as watching mas amounts of tv! so get off your bootay and do something!!!
lol i wasnt fighting against people watching tv? why are you fight me? And i find this funny coming from YOU buddy, why dont you go home and knit some more!
"why are you fight me" pssst www.hop.com
Mike is a woman. True story.
ANNNNNNND i dont play video games and play with my computer ALLLLL day dude
thats mikes idea of hanging out, i said when we gonna chill and he says you got WOW? Very sad!
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!
I don't have cable either, we haven't had it since I was like 7.
Now I don't feel like a total reject (wait no I do but, lol)
Once in a blue moon I'll bum @ my aunts and peek @ Lifetime it's one of the few channels I remember in general 'good things' about.
Also Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends very cute. I only discovered this last summer while staying over for the district convention ('cause Marriot = cable)
LOST is actually the only show I watch now. I wonder if that will even last once I start pioneering again-depending on my schedule....
haha yes let's start a thread arguing what is cool to like and what's cool not to like
because you know, we should ALL AGREE ON EVERYTHING
haha
c'mon
haha
Can we at least agree that boy zone dot com is not totally resiculous
it is not accepting new members, thank goodness
*p.s. did you get the duck yet? get the DUCK out if you didn't.
Dude you really sent me pirate ducks? NO WAYZ
WHAAAT!!!!???? OMG . What it do... where they at?
should be on its way
and it's um... interestingly different from the one i have
it's about 100 times bigger
okay maybe 10 times bigger
So wait... first you tell me that there's this awsome duck in a pirate costume coming..
Now you're telling me there's a super awesome huge duck in a pirate costume coming?
Sweeet
YES WE SHOULD ALL AGREE ON IT! AND IF WE CAN'T I'LL JUST YELL AND TELL YOU THAT YOU ARE UNCHRISTIAN FOR NOT AGREEING UNTIL YOU DO ALL AGREE!!
Obviously TV is a huge waste of time.
However putting the mindless entertainment value aside... It's also a way for people to learn certain social skillz and offers a bonding chance when they discuss the shows.
Like watching sports. In the big picture it's stupid. What does watching and cheering for a team really do? It just entertains you.. and gives a way for other dudes to bond and have something to talk about.
In the same way a lot of hobbies are pointless...
hey, look everyone! thai is making a coherent argument!
hey, look everyone! Ian put down his gameboy to type a message
yeah i agree dude. it's healthy to a point, but after that point it's just too much
WORD UP SON. The validity in your argument is bringing out the generalities of addiction.
Being addicted to anything is harmful...Tv is just one of the easiest addictions. As we revolutionize in techonology and progress with increasing access to all sorts of media... the choke they have on this society will only increase.
So really - in the end... Think for Yourself.
AMEN brotha'!!!
btw, when are Cup and Salt on? they sound pretty good
I only watch TV when baseball is on or if I want to pop in a movie. I couldn't tell you what the main shows are on TV.
haha, thanks for posting this right after i made a new Lost thread.
