I really liked this show in Season 1. I compared it to Lost (especially when the Lost plot line sucked, which it did for a while there), but somehow I lost interest in Heroes in Season 2, although I did kind of try. A few people told me later not to bother catching up, but Season 3 showed promise.
Apparently, that isn't the case. I guess I haven't wasted time watching, so that's kind of a plus.

does anyone have anything to say about this new season? I'm watching it, and I think it's the biggest piece of crap I've ever seen. I keep watching, and keep hoping it'll turn out right... Season 1 was great, but the writing on this show this season is just AWFUL. I know it's supposed to be "comic book"ish, since it's about heroes and villains, but...for the love of Pete, this show has gone down hill big time. So many characters are not true to themselves, it's appalling

The dinner table conversation was interesting. Some of the shots seemed way out of place for the series, like it was a new director or something. I didn't check though. But it was cool.

yeahhh, i forgot to watch journeyman, so i watched it tonight and it was good. i love that actor. he was amazing in Rome. his american accent doesn't work for me though.
the whole time travel thing makes me wary of this show falling apart over time, but i'm a sucker for sci-fi and time travel, so i'm signed for at least another episode or two.

sylar should have died :/ and i put my money on peter was left in high orbit to explode and then his brother zoomed away, so both of them are alive. Peter just falls to the ground and regains life. Guess i was expecting more i dunno.

i'm so upset. Yesterday we didnt' have our bookstudy so we wound up going out with friends and didn't get home till .. after Heroes. I failed at life!! haha.. I totally forgot about it, my routine was disrupted and i totally forgot. And I tried to watch it online today but last week's episode keeps playing instead of last night's. So I'm downloading it on Itunes. Blah. Blah.
It was an awesome episode. It's a glimpse of the future if they dont stop the bomb. You will enjoy it... they have another ultimate battle at the end between Peter & Sylar!!!

Isaac learned that you cant change the future, thats why he didnt even bother fighting Sylar
What was more interesting is when Peter told Nathan that he cant really die, and when Nathan asked him if after he explodes, could he survive... Peter said "probably, but do you know how many other people would die?.... 0.7%" - The look on Nathan's face made you think that he would go along with Linderman's plan as long as Peter lives

i think isaac sacrificed himself to create a path to sylar's defeat. after all, he's the future boy. maybe he knew he had to die for sylar to be defeated. maybe if he lived things wouldn't go right. maybe that's why he said he could be a hero if he sacrificed himself hiro made it pretty clear that you can't change the past, only shape the future. i guess after this season ends we'll have a few more clues regarding the shows space/time mythology. i'm just taking some guesses here.

what no one talking about heroes? Last episode was crazy. All i know is peter better woop sylars butt or i will be very disappointed. And the petrelli mom is on it, score, now claire will know peter is her uncle who saved her. really not digging the chick who can shapeshift, thats going to make a bunch of problems although she is sorta hot. I hope hrg lays the smack down on her though.
i agree. great episode. the show delivers pretty well. i was shocked by the mohinder/sylar power juggle. i just want mohinder to die and pop up like obi-wan. he's too stupid, weak, and annoying to be a prof. X type right now. as for sylar and peter. it's brawl time. i imagine he'll heal himself against sylars attack, kick him off, turn invisble, and bail. then he'd need to run into a super strong hero, so he can take his strength and go back to punch sylars head off.
All he needs to do for the super strong hero is run into split personality woman (Ali Larter) and than he will have everyones powers! I love the part for the preview of the next show when Sylar says: "This is usually the part where you begin to scream" and than he gets like thrown across the room... Peter is way to powerful for Sylar... this show is sooooo good!!!

i've been kinda waiting for this show to come out. it got canned, retooled, and released later than anticipated. i don't know if i'm feeling it. the tone is...schizophrenic. is it funny? is it dark? i dunno. i'm sure i'll catch it again.

not true, if she dies while having something still stuck in her like a stake through her heart and out her back she wont revive untill its removed. So basically keep him like that and he will be dead.
Yeah but first of all they don't know that and secondly what are the chances they would do something like that. Most likely they would shoot him or the like and that would heal. He would be very very very hard to stop combining that with the other abilities he has.
bullets would have to be removed to heal i believe, if they hit his heart they have to be removed for him to heal so technically not invincible
has anyone gone to the primatechpaper.com it's the paper company's website in the show, but you can get in and look at some of the characters info. the chick that can control electronic stuff was revealed on there about 3 weeks ago.

i kinda think that wifi chick was added in place of eden. something tells me if eden stuck around she would have MADE radioacive man attack HRG, but alas, she's gone and this wifi chick pops up and is calling the shots.

i was reading an article and the actor who plays the exploding man keeps getting recognized but everyone thinks he is the caveman from the geico commercials.

Best part of that episode is when Peter stopped the darts and grabbed the invisible man and flew away, the look on HRG was classic, its like he didnt realize what Peter was capable of and now he is more interested in getting him than anyone else. Now we know that Peter is the only one that can defeat Sylar, whatever powers Sylar steals, Peter can use it against him... Soooo good!!
BTW - Did you notice that Stan Lee was the bus driver!! haha
the stan lee cameo was great, i saw his name in the opening credits and was all excited to see him it.
i know. when i saw peter "flexing" i had a real old school vibe, like when i excitedly read comics when i was ten. and it makes sense there be a match-up building. that's at the bottom floor of the comics mythos. good and evil. comparable powers and stregths. who lives? who dies?

GREAT episode. peter mastering all those powers finally! he had one of the weakest powers at the beginning, but now he is only matched by sylar.
sylars actually the only one clostest to match but even he won't have as many powers as peter since all he has to do is be around them, not slice their brains open. Peter has invsibility and flying which coupled with sylars makes him i think way more powerful, although it seems he can only use one at a time? And i wonder if peter absorbe all sylars power or he can only take his main power from him.
i wonder if they're gonna give peter a hair cut.

Well sylars main power isn't telekinesis and Peter abosrbed that from him so I'm gonna go with no, though I do wonder if it is limited to only powers that have been used around him. I do have a feeling he just has to be around the person with the ability.

good episode last night. Peter may be losing control a bit, though.
losing control? he hicks butt now, laying down the law and in control of all powers making the uber hero!
he's emotionally really, really messed up right now. simone got capped her ex-junky ex. he's still unsure what he's got to do prevent the explosion. AND he's cultivating his powers with help from a total ayehole. he has reasons to be scared.
Here are my ideas for Hiro's power troubles:
A) it could be a simple confidence issue. he's used his powers to get money, he failed to save that memory girl, etc. he could just be doubting himself and he feels he needs to get the sword to focus again. when he thought he was gonna acquire the sword he was able to slow down time a bit-- the anticipation and his belief in the legend of Kensei making his powers glimmer through his self doubt.

B) He simply can't radically change the past because of some barrier that won't allow a time-paradox or any major changes to occur. it could also be his lack of skill at this point. He CAN affect things in the present, by freezing time, and spacially rearranging things. at this particular time that might be the extent of his powers til he hones his abilities and learns to properly affect time-- past, present and future. the funny thing is that this theory suggest a powerful and controlling god-like entity that dictates what can be done and not done.

i like claude a lot. the peter/cab scene was really well done, effects-wise.
sylar is strange. even when he's acting normal for claire's mom he's mad evil. HRG poppin' up like he did was a lil TOO comic booky, but hey. it was very charles bronson of him, protecting his family. i feel bad for his wife.
the claire birth parents reveal was pretty unexpected. other shows would have dragged that out for months.
which brings me to the shows pace. juuust right. i like.
see i was thinking about this last night. it is totally moving along but how do you think they are going to end the season? saving the world from the bomb? then what next? because if they drag out the bomb til next year i dont think i could take it.
i imagine it will be dealt with this season. if they cliff hanger the explosion i'll be piffed. it's shaping up that the eps are single issues and the season as a whole is a trade paperback. if they're gonna stay with the real comic book feel they'll deal with it within the confines of this season. if you never read comics-- you may not know what i'm talking about.

yes, the contract dispute was real. they weren't gonna kill her for another six eps. the storyline will now be accelerated and i think that might be a good thing. we don't need another "Lost" on our hands.

I thought it was pretty good, man. i'm growing weary of the niki/jessica thing. her turning herself in made sense to me though. i'd like her to be out of the picture. i think DL and Micah are pretty cool.
we see that Mr. Bennett answers to someone. i wonder who. it appears the Haitian is breaking away from Bennett by not "hollowing out" Claire. i wonder what's gonna happen with that.
Sylar's power is laid bare. i thought he just ate the brains like a zombie and acquired the power that way. we know now that he takes brains, finds out what makes them unique, what drives the special powers and somehow rewrites it into his DNA, thus taking the abilities for himself. if he gets ahold of Claire's powers he'll be near invincible. what i didn't get is how he snagged Eden. could he have escaped any time? it made sense that Eden would shoot herself, damaging her brain, and possibly preventing Sylar from stealing her powers. i'm sad though. i thought she was a pretty cool character.
Isaac painting an exploding man makes sense. the moment i saw that radioactive man, Ted, i knew he'd have something to do with that massive explosion in NYC. but the dream Peter has shows HIM exploding and not Ted. which makes me think that Peter might get near Ted and not know how to control the power and just go nuclear. like Hiro said "how do you stop an exploding man?" i don't know now though because it seems like Peter's dead. it could go a lotta different ways from here.

The Haitian seems to be like a super power mobile jamming station. maybe sylar was able to use his powers because the haitian dude was not in the area. and i wonder if eden killed herself to prevent sylar from taking her power, or if he actually got her powers and killed her himself. and peter's not dead.
I dont think she was supposed to die so soon, it looks like she got hired to do another show and they needed to kill her off. Along that point it looks like she turned the gun on herself and shot out her brain so that Sylar couldnt take her power. The reason I think that Sylar had his powers was either 1) The Haitian wasn't there or 2) When Eden turned on the power into the room she turned off a force field that controls the special powers so she could use hers against Sylar, I dont think she was expecting Sylar to have the ability to block it though, which makes you wonder how strong he really is...

the haitian appears to have a few telepathic tricks up his sleave. jamming, memory erasing, and who knows what else. if the haitian was jamming sylar why would he leave? there must be some kind of tech they're using that nullifies powers. unless maybe it wasn't working on sylar and he could have escaped the whole time. it's possible he was just waiting for Eden to come back to snag her powers. though i don't think sylar got her powers. his face was like "aw, no!" when she lifted the gun to shoot herself. but we don't know exactly what's what yet.
y'know, suicide appears to be a minor theme is this show.

i like that actress. before i starting watching heroes, i saw her in an indie movie called Brick. awesome, awesome flick. anyway, she's dead now. oh well.
additionally, for anyone that watches the show-- those dumb comics at the NBC site are integral to understanding the story. the art is consistantly terrible. sincerely, i could draw a better comic than that. and i have. anyway, suck it up and check it out. they're just a few pages and they flesh out the characters and story quite a lot.
If this is true, than Sylar doesn't escape, he gets tranquelized and Eden's head isn't blown up but she is dead.
