yeah, you run into horde groups running through there all the time, me and lar got ganked in there for hours... ugg almost as bad as STV.
I only ran Blackfathom Deeps once (was my first instance, and I loved it), but i went with a few people that were higher level than me. Took us about 1.5 hours maybe?
I ran it for the first time with a another low-bie and Synthia (our lvl 60 (pally?)). Got through it in 45 mins. Then I ninja'd before I knew what ninja-ing was. Stupid BoP's.

Finally did an co-guild raid of MC last night.
We mustered up about 19 and another guild brought the rest.
We got luciferon down on our first run through which is amazing.
Magmadar a little tough since the shamans weren't on top of their game.
I used a priest for the run. Which was interesting.
Dispelling, healing, shielding... Not so ez.

I am so bad with my pally. I need to fight for an hour before I finally get out of rogue mode! Rogue mode is spamming Sinister Strike, which I've set up for the "2" key. In Pally, though, I have it set up for something that I only need to hit once ever 30 seconds. At least I didn't let anyone die under my watch :)

Oh MAANN!!!! I made some progress this weekend! I dinged 44, I've got all but one wild leather mission done (dang turtle scales take FOREVER to collect...I swear I'm the guy who's putting them on the endangered list!)

53 Last night...
Me, lar, ian, bran and a lvl 60 healer from our guild all tried Hakkar... lol we wre REALLY close on the fifth time... but were not able to take him down...
But i have to say, that was the MOST fun ive had in the game thus far....
haha yeah that was good times. It wasn't Hakkar tho, was Shade of Eranikus.
I think we just need to have a 55 warrior to be able to do it tho.

He'll dominate you the first time... and then nerfs himself the preceeding fights.

Once he's asleep.. Larry needs to tank eranikus .. doing anything he can to get aggro .. which should be easy .. unless mike is over aggroing and burning hard..
thats what i did initially, i was spamming my hardest hitting stuff. I never even got to burn through all my mana, we died that fast. The last 2 times, i used arcane missles and spaced my shots out every 5 seconds or so. That seemed to work well. Larry can hold aggro from me until i start using my fire.
We sent in bran first as warrior (lvl 47) he would get aggro and then sleeped then larry would go in (54) and pull aggro... and that worked for a while till we lost bran and ian... then healer died and it was just me and lar, and when he sleeped larry i was done.
man i'm a total wow nerd.
Anyway how did ian die?
wow Bran is lvl 47? .. that is pretty low... but still doable since you have a lvl 60 healer.
when the warrior is sleeping and larry is tanking both you and ian shouldn't do anything special. consistent damage but not excessive.. no special stuff.. like wand eranikus or regular little nukes..
then once the warrior is awak again.. let him retake aggrro then go nuts.. until of course he's alseep.. keep doing that back and forth. and win the game
oh and when brandon is tanking.. the paladin should just do normal melee hits.. and save mana for Spot heals.. when needed.

Priest was running out of mana healing so much.
55 elite vs a 47 warrior was pretty tough. Bran couldn't even get hits on him, everything was blocked or resisted pretty much. I think that was the main problem.
If he was about 51 or 52, we would have been able to do it i think.
The pet was actually doing a great job tanking for a while, because eranikus wouldn't sleep her very much. Then once the pet died, and priest ran OOM, brandon would die, larry would get slept, and he would go after mike, or priest, and then we were pretty much done.

I think it was good for him to get a chance to run it... ive been running temple every day or 2, which works for me... soon ill be able to get all the drops that place has to offer!

Check out the use on it! "Increases target's Stamina by 20."
If you buff yourself and take the hat off, you lose the effect. But - if you buff someone else and then take the hat off, they keep the effect.
So if a bunch of people bring those hats, you can all buff each other's HP up, then you can put on your normal head gear.

I remember those 100+ months. I always used to start or end with letter writing. Have you tried that? I'd keep track of the not at home in a territory with names on the mailboxes and write to them. It's a good way to get extra time when you're not in the mind set to leave the house.

i think you can look through your Key Bindings, and you'll see settings for the other bars there

I've seen a lot of reviews. All very good, and if I wasn't so invested in playing WoW I would have gotten Guild Wars. But WoW ends up being a social thing too, it's nice to join a game that a lot of people you know are already playing.
About the 15 bucks a month everyone is sad about... It's a little insurance, and it's a little bit of cash for the patches, updates, and new content. I can justify that cost. I'm assured that if there is a problem it will be addressed. I'm assured that the other players won't start coming up with hacks that will infringe on regular gameplay. That if there's a server down there are people to work on it. 24-7 support, its kind of worth it to me.

I have a friend who can't play Guild Wars with Verizon DSL, because they renew DHCP's so often (or something like that). Most online services renew every couple days. Verizon: every 15 minutes. My friend tells me he's not the only one, but that many complaints can be found about this little problem through google.
Just a little heads up for any verizon users.
Don & I have Verizon DSL, but the router that I use for my wireless network card updates automatically (US Robotics) Don has another brand card/router that he constantly has to update. It annoys him quite a bit, but I'm not ceding my network card!

Yeah this is a pretty true assesment. The only thing he doesn't mention or know probably is that your single player PvP can get more powerful from your RPG character. Weapons and secrets are unlocked. But yeah it is a LOT of action, like pretty much all action and now that i'm a higher level i have to play with others and it gets fun...

Me and Lar were talking about this the other day... End game supposedly Mages > Palys... and Hunters as well...
but... ill be the first one to say it... i dunno how thats true... i mean im powerful... DPS is higher then hunters def, and overtime more than palys... sooo... i dont get it, unless im not specced right... how is this gonna work?

from what i understand, frost is more defense where as fire is mostly offense, im going for a arc/fire build around 21 points in arc 14 in fire. End game i might go more Fire than Arc, not sure yet.
Larry can crit for over 1000 dmg... i think my hightest was like 800 or something on a Fireblast, which im specced all the way for... soo... i dunno... i dont see how i can own pallys with that kinda damage...

Don and I have been going back and forth about paying for an xbox live subscription. We agree that's the only online game subscription we'd pay for because all the xbox360 games will be live compatible. That makes it worth it to us. WOW's not. :(

Like wow, but much less deep. Beautiful looking. Easy to level, and compete with players not on your level. No monthly fees. You probably need to buy 2 of this, also, to play at the same time(computer games are like that). It runs ya about 50 bucks or so, but you can probably find some place that sells it a little cheaper. I personally don't think you'd like this. I played it for an hour once. It's kind of lacking in the story dept.
The reason we thought it would be so cool was that we could play with everyone online. If no one's playing guild wars, it's not the same.

dude seriously, i'm not even gonna defend it. I like it and its mostly an action based mmorpg, but there just isn't the depth. It's only strength is the PvP
i was thinking of getting it, it looks awesome and PVP style is different from WoW
yeah the game has no depth really, it's all action. THe pvp is cool, but the entire game is pretty much based on the concept that you have 3-7 friends who will play with you or that you can convince 3-7 people to be friends with you long enough to complete a quest (15-30 min)

Farming for heavy and thick leather.
Stick with that spot farming Rock Elementals in badlands... thats where i farmed for all of lvl 39... made money and decent XP usually... only thing that sucks getting ganked every few min.

what was the level difference? I think you dont get good xp if you get ran through by like a lvl 60...

and i got BAD xp, but i was like a lvl 15 and he was a lvl 60

anything 10 levels away or more is going to give you terrible xp
