i think 20-21 MAY be too young to get married.... but not too young to start dating. .. you can't really put an age on it though, it really depends on the person, circumstances, situation, and the amount of cheese they eat per year.

i've been told that there should be no physical contact until your engaged... like aparently ur not suposed to kiss the guy till he asks u to marry him... personally, i think thats a load of crap haha
Is that physically possible? I was reading through the YPA book a bit last night and I don't remember the whole thing but there was something about a young sheperd and his love and how they touched and kissed before marrying..but they made a point that marriage is supposed to be like almost definite then.

I can't believe i'm going to say this. yeah. witness rules of dating specifically say that if one is going to date someone else who is not baptized, currently reproved, or too young, they must call it being "just friends". even if they spend more time together than some married people. WHYYYYYYYYY. i don't understand this. the YPA book has a whole section on this...yet people still do it

The society's definition of dating (from the YPA book) is when you single someone out for special attention...it's dating. a date can be a phone call, it can be an AIM chat session at a pre-arranged time. still a date. call it what it is. be an adult.
Dan you are right on with this... You are dating if you single out an individual of the opposite sex, and they single you out too... I dont believe in the whole "were just friends because it will look bad if I start dating this person publicly". If thats the case just go ahead and date them, because people arent blind and you cant fool Jehovah. If its already in your heart to be with the person, you are with that person and its too late. Either change your heart condition and go associating with larger groups and not single them out, or just DATE THEM ALREADY!!

Service is pretty cool with the person you like because that's a really important part of your life and you have to know if they're serious spiritually and this is one of those things that can help clue you in. But yes, it does look bad if you go out for more then one part of the day together..I've been told it's just not done.
