time for advice
So my sister (arriba) and I had this huge opportunity to get a new job together (again--we work together now, too). Anyway, the company where we found this great opportunity told us that they can definitely cannot hire BOTH of us, because we are related.
Now it's decision time. One of us should take this opportunity. Jamie's been looking (and praying) for a better paying job. I think she should take it, though I wouldn't mind the pay-raise, but I always get by.
Jamie thinks I should take it. One day I'm going to have a family, and she says since I'm her older brother I should take it.
Now we need to decide who gets the job. This is so rough. Jamie would be GREAT at it, but she might get bored with it. I probably wouldn't be as good, but I wouldn't get as bored with it.
We could both go to Human Resources and let them decide who they like better for the job.
How do we decide? Any advice?

That is a decision to be carefully weighed. My best suggestion is a list of pros and cons for each scenario, and definitely lots of prayer.
Thank you, those are some great suggestions! Prayer will be, and has already been, a big part of this. I just found out today, though, that we won't be able to work together. We've worked together for 2+ years!
I suppose that's an adjustment that you will have to make, but maybe it will end up being for the best.
my sister and i worked together for a while and it was actually a really fun experience. now i miss her! this is a toughy. but i guess prayer and some practical, reasonable thinking need to come into play. by cursory consideration of the matter it APPEARS that you should take the job. no doubt there are a lot of things to take into consideration, but i'm sure you'll arrive at a decision the two of you and Jehovah will be pleased with.
i have some good advice, don't say that you wouldn't be as good or that your sis might get bored...
what do you mean? On the interview? Of course we wouldn't, but thanks for your reminder. I just wanted to give you all the facts that could fit in.
i say fight for it. to the death.
mano a womano?
lol, both of you--so funny!
And since matt's was actually a possible solution, he gets full credit + 3 points for making me laugh!
That's it, since you two couldn't stop bickering....Im taking the job
Just flip a coin. Whoever loses won't get the job and will get punched in the head.
that's harsh
You laughed at Matt's comment... I was kidding too.
so do I! FOOOOOOOLLEEDDDD YOOOOOUUUUUU!
how about just give me the job? solves it fairly, neither of you get it
woah, woah woah, didn't I already tell this annoying joke already?
Pray about it and let the company decide. Take their decision as Jehovah's answer.
give it to jamie. guy's can find work easier.
except for opey.
hey! whats with all the aggression against me? First you hate my poll, now this, do you want to wrestle?
dude tell her you lost your sock in the dryer.. and she's the only person who can find it.. push her in.. turn on the dryer.. and then lodge the door shut with an axe.. one of those really sharp ones.. that jason uses. and then.. when she's inside drying....... and shrinking. you can run away and take the job. and when your mom ever does the laundry and says " whats this axe doing here " you can say " there's a monster inside trying to get out " and then your mom says " what you're so silly" ... removes the axe.. your sister falls out.. all dry and srinkage.. your mom will scream and run away and say " there really is a monster" and if you're still reading this you're a complete moron.. and should join me on the short bus
HAHAHHAHAHAH....you have no idea how much I laughed at this. Thai, your stupidity and creativity never fails to make my day :)
