by What up ya'll....I've been painting and drawing for years & I just realized some of my stuff is on Ophelia's website..Figured I'd share some if it w/you guys by posting them in the form of a forum....Wish I could do this for a living!...Alas..Art, at least in it's traditional form, is very hard to turn into a reliable source of income...

the funny thing is, it sux...like, i don't remember liking the picture at all, nowhere near one of the best examples of my stuff....i don't think i was in a artsy mood when i drew it..and it came through...haha, but for him to get offended is so silly...the human body is a form of art - nudity does not always equal porn..we were born naked!

i never went...my art teacher in highschool wanted me to go, i never really pursued it..haha, art class was awesome in highschool cause i was the only one in my class that took art seriously, everybody else saw the period as like lunch#2...so he let me draw or paint whatever i wanted, and would always give me an A, the curriculum he made like only applied to everybody else

this stuff's purrrdy cool. Now question - do you feel that you just kinda had this talent to draw or paint, or did you really suck at first and then had to "learn" and develop the talent.
I have this curiosity whether talents are truly inherited or actually learned.
I have no "natural" talent in Art, and I want to so bad, hehe.
the last picture of the girl, i like it, but i noticed ONE small thing - the eye, it should be set back a little more, eyes aren't actually ON the nose...... ya know what i mean? other than that, the shadows and stuff in the facial structure is really good!!

haha, yeah, my art teacher said the same thing - but fairy faces differ in structer from that of humans...there's a book called "The Book Of Faeries" that illustrates all the differences in anatomy, facial, bodily, etc...i've always tried to make something a bit "off" when drawing them to kinda illustrate that they're not really human
o! Well that's cool. Oh Dude I didn't realize those were wings at first... I thought it was like, a shawl or whatnot... um.. i'm stoopit? I thought it was an elf (the ear is elfish i guess) . Yay.

well, inclination towards art is something that does come from like specific spots in the brain - & depending on genes, one person may be more inclined than another...at the same time, a person's determination can make up for their lake of natural inclination, if you draw & paint alllll the time, you WILL become good at it...I've been drawing from a very young age & have always been like the "art teacher's pet"(this wasn't always a good thing), so, i dunno, maybe it was something i was born with...but..either way, anybody can become an artist if they really want to
bry you should make some fairy like art for my kitchen to go with the chairs.
