WANTED: JW BAND(UPDATED)
by ***!!!!!UPDATE!!!!!***That band Guilderbell seems like they're 99.9% sure that they wanna split the place w/us, they just have to come up & check it out..sooooo, unless some insane schedule is worked out where more than two bands can equally use the place, it's pretty safe to say the spot's been filled.....
Is your band is tired of practicing in a basement, and dealing w/the parental obsticle, bad acoustics, and lugging equipment around? Is $30/month per band member a reasonable amount to pay for band practice luxury?(this "luxury" includes half stack amps(one Peavy, one Marshall) and a quality fender bass amp that are there at ALL times - so all you have to bring is your guitar/bass - a quality drum set that is also there at all times, equiped w/a double bass pedal, so all the drummer has to bring is his sticks - a keyboard which is also there at all times - 2 couches, one love seat, for spectators/loungin, a PA, the ability to record on a digital 4 track(not for like, album quality recordings, but, it will capture the whole band and sounds pretty ok - good to use for copying ideas down so nobody forgets), a dart board, and the ability to practice as late as you want)...It's up Rt. 23, very easy to get to

...Beside The White(the band my band used to share this place with) decided to up&go last week - they got some hookup from some dude who's friend's w/Glassjaw, and they're practicing in the same studio in NY that Glassjaw practices at - WOO HOO, good for them, lol..As cool as that is for the fellas, it kinda presents a problem for us - the monthly rent for this place is no longer split in two, it's now all on us...it's $300 a month..that split up between 2 bands, like it used to be, is only $30 a bandmember(if each band has 5 people, which they did)....as it stands NOW, it'd be $60 a person...like..another cell phone bill for each on of us..so..it'd be nice to bring that back down to $30, and share it w/one'a you stella jw acts....ez-message me if'n you're interested

Considering my band is just me and an acoustic, id have to say thats a lot to take on all alone...especially since my freeloading guitar wont foot its half of the bill...trust me, its just the straw that broke the camels back..tat stuipid thing puts its feet up on my couch, hits on my girlfriend, makes long distance calls, and even puts its finger in my peanut butter...just like Puck. Oh yes, its a travesty.
yeah, us guitarists all know how much acoustics love penut butter.....i learned to keep my stash hidden a while ago....
but, yeah...your free-loadin guitar probably isn't the best partner to share a bill with...you'd be paying that by yourself everymonth
Glassjaw is so cool. Almost makes me wish I was in a band or had some kind of musical talent just to meet them.
