Rap is Literature
so today we ventured forth on a trip to Sussex Com. College for an Art Show. During the program they had workshops and classes you could take. A few friends and I took a class called "Rap is Literature". It was SO amazing. We talked about all of the elements of rap, b-boying, its origins, slang, styles, artists, etc. we watched music videos, talked about fav. artists and stuff. Even if you hate rap, this class was so good. One of the guys i went with is the biggest punk ever but loved the class! It was So amazing!!!

i hate it when people say about how music isn't poetry and rap is just people cursing out loud becuase they got something to say and they say it with a beat. i like it and the class sounds awesome.
so what is "b-boying"?
b-boying is breakdancing, and actually rap is contained in the scene of hip hop. Hop hop includes dj'ing, mc'ing, b-boying, and tagging if im not mistaken. It is supposedly a way of life and a whole culture, not the crap gangsta rap with all the fake thugs.
corectamundo...*very impressed*
woah, i thought it was a typo for b-boxing, or beat boxing or something like where they make sounds from there mouth like a beat.
