Well it finally happened. I had my first run-in with a gang last night at school in Newark, NJ. I was coming out of the parking deck to leave school and there's about 10 kids walkin down the street, they were all probably about 15 to 17 years old. i didn't have my lights on at the time, because the parking deck is well lit and so is the street right there, so I had forgotten to put them on. i guess not having them on attracted their attention cuz they all started yelling at me, i realized what they were yelling about and so i turned my lights on. at that point, they all started running over to my car and yelling things, i didn't understand what they were saying, but i think they wanted money or something. my doors were already locked. i had my window down and one of em was like "i was the one who told you to turn on your lights!!" and i was like "thanks, do you want a prize?" so i started driving away, and they started banging on my car and yelling louder, i just sped up a little and a few of them were chasing after me, then i guess they realized that they couldn't keep up, and so they gave up. it was more weird than scary, but i guess i shouldv'e been a little scared, who knows if these kids have guns or knives or whatever.
