by i'm up here in vermont, we're supposed to get 6-9 inches of snow tomorrow night! I've been thinking about how crazy everything has been lately, it seems like so many people are having tons of problems. this world is just getting so hard, satan is trying to kill us. it's so hard to just survive and try to be balanced. I feel so stressed out lately just with my own stuff going on and there's only a few things that are keeping me together.
Keeping Jehovah first is so important. Stay strong everybody.

I know what you mean-satan has made this system a pressure cooker and every step can seem like a struggle. No one seems to be exempt and he's trying to make it harder and harder to serve Jehovah and progress spiritually. I wonder how many times we all feel like we're hanging on to sanity by a thread. But I guess we can look at it as practice for harder things to come.
btw-It's weird but I was going to text you and todd today to find out if you were going to be in VT this month. i'm glad you guys are in VT for some fresh powder (mtn creek must suck this year)! The past couple of weeks have been incredible with the powder. Hope you have fun in it(I know I will!)
UGH this is so true!!! i have SO many friends going through some serious tough times, and im not w/o drama myself. satans def working on all of us at all angles and tear us down! we def need to just focus on our personal relationship with jah and put him first at all costs!

I'm glad I could make you smile. We're all fighting such a hard battle right now-with ourselves. I only really know what I experience personally. The things Satan does just makes me sick. I know that I have to rely completely on Jehovah otherwise I'll end up in the same sinking ship he's in. I also know there are many many people in the organization going through similar or worse circumstances. As people grow up, they have a natural tendency to get wrapped up in their own lives, but we can't survive without each other.
Yeah, we totally couldn't make it without each other. There's a young friend in our hall who we spend a lot of time with; she's 16 and everything with her friends is 'the end of the world'. I have to laugh, because I remember that feeling when I was that age. But now, it's nice to realize that we can't sweat the small stuff with people who aren't spiritual (and act like it); they won't stay in the truth too long anyway. I wish I could impart the wisdom to this sister of only keeping true friends around and not worrying about everyone else, but I think that's a lesson everyone needs to learn for themselves.
yeah since the beginning of 2007 more bad things have happened in my life than in the past 5 years combined - but my stuff is nothing compared to what some others are going through.. everyone is getting hit right now

another 2 friends from my hall got DF'd
the company where my wife worked declared bankruptcy and closed - she found out two days before our wedding
not to mention the constant drama between my parents, family members, and lauren's ...

Aww! See, this makes me feel bad because everything in my life has been easier since I got married. I mean, wedding planning was a little hectic, but Donovan was offered a job on our honeymoon, we've both been used more in the hall, etc. Life after marriage is much better for me. Engagement was a little stressful, but mostly it was exciting!
oh, i agree. after getting married, life was 400% easier. Especially once we sorted out our bank accounts.

What Matt was most concerned about this evening is how I defeated him in Madden when he was up by 2 touchdowns with under 2 minutes... (I wont go into what happend a couple of days later, because it seems that Matt's prayers were answered when he FINALLY beat me in Madden)
