by ugh i just saw some video on mtv with a girl sining like jewel but yet the video has her dressed up like a little punk girl, she smashes her guitar, had kids bmx'ing and skating and they have them trashin stuff in a mall. So lame all this stuff going main stream creating tons of poser kids wearing skate and bmx clothing and buyin the stuff when they can't even do anything with it besides hold it. Mindless masses! ARGH! I dunno maybe this just bothers me? Anyone else bothered by people tryin to portray something they are not just so they can "look cool" or fit in.

But i ran outta money that way. So i just kinda moved on to Walmart after that. I think i am somewhat punk from friends who influence me. But i dont wear like bondage pants or Rancid tee shirts or anything. Ive always thought skatin and skatboarding was soo cool and the poeple that can skate ROCK. I guess if i had the skills to do that kinda stuff i would dress like that, but i cant so why pretend you know? Someone might see you and expect you to be able to like misty flips on the fly and then when you fall on ur face while going fakey, they will be REALLY disapointed...
I always felt the same way. i LOVE the boarder look, but I'd feel too weird posing that look. If I could wear (and actually look good in anything), I'd be a surfer/boarder chick. Weeeeeell, I snowboarded once....that should count for something, right?

i guess.. but kids at that age are still trying to figure out what they like and who they are. you can't expect them to be all original or be themselves when they barely know who they are. i know that everyone has gone through that stage in their lives, maybe not clothing, but attitude or personality, etc. so for someone to make fun of them would be hypocritical cause we did the same thing at one time or another.

WHO THE HECK CARES WHAT OTHER PEOPLE DO? i was in the mall the other day, which is a rarity for me, and i saw so many confused adolescents, with their crazy styles and clothing. most of these kids are having an identity crisis, you just have to feel bad for them. but who gives a crap if someone is a poser. i dont care what other people wear or listen to. the only way i would care is if some poser kid was being a loser towards me. then i would simply knock him out, and be done with it. i guess it is annoying to see all these little kids running around thinking they are the next eminem or whatever, but i'm cooler so who cares.

I think the last time I really used the word poser was in 4th grade when the big deal was that people were 'posing' as soccer players by wearing umbro shorts. People are generally stupid, and one has to learn to ignore them or tolerate them. Kids are, as was said, confused. I'm very confused. To survive sometimes we do have to go with the flow, and if that means wearing that same stuff as a certain group of people then so be it. You can't go around naked (well, for very long at least) and there are only so many places to shop. And if you don't want to be wearing something hanus then you're gonna be dressing like at least one other person in school (or wherever), it just happens that way.
it's very sad for me to admit but i still am a little teeny bopper because of all the reasons stated above that i truly don't know what i love you wear yet. i buy whatever is on sale and what i feel like wearing and 90% of the time i end up looking like all these other people and it completely annoys me so bad but i haven't totally figured out what i wanna look like yet.

Posers are only what you think it to be, how can you say that this person is not really what there potraying to be. Its not always a I'm this way cause its cool to be that way kind of world!! Its not uncommon now a days to find people dabbled in a little bit of everything, from hardcore,& punk, then be dressed like a preppy,, or like classical music , drum & bass, and yet be your average sporto, chess playin kid!!.. Just think about.. Posers arent a actuality of the eye its just a apperance..Does it even matter anyways!!!! Being called a poser is funny. This one time I was speaking with two girls (one being a friend, the other..that's another story) and I said how I was going to go to the Salvation Army and buy an army jacket after school..and the one girl (not my friend) just looked at me and said "Oh what a poser" now later while my friend and I tried to figure this all out..we came upon the conclusion that yes, I am a poser. i was thinking about this topic and i came to another conclusion. we definetely all are posers. because even only ourselves know how we wanna dress and look of others. even if people are copying others and everyone else sees it but them, they still think they're being true to themselves. like somebody said something about pink being a poser, but what if since she's famous she discovered she loves the things she got exposed to that makes her a poser. think about it.
