eZabel Legacy
A Jersey guy with a commute, a wake board, and opinions about J.Lo's dating life — Tim Duggan rolled onto eZabel in April 2002 and immediately started vibing like he'd been there all along. Working as a Jr. Network Administrator in Manhattan, he'd lament long days at the office that kept him off the site, then come home and fire off takes on everything from Morpheus vs. Kazaa to whether Leonardo DiCaprio could pull off Alexander the Great. His journal "People of NYC" captured a man walking down 30th Street having a full two-sided conversation with himself, and Tim's instinct wasn't concern — it was trying not to laugh so the guy wouldn't rope him in. That's goldmine in a nutshell: observant, amused, and just self-aware enough to know he should probably keep walking. He was a devoted 49ers fan in Giants territory, a Twizzlers connoisseur who had strong opinions about their ideal firmness, and the kind of guy who'd spend ten minutes reading a thread about fruit snacks, realize he'd wasted his time, and comment anyway.
His closest orbit on the site was ilikebirds — they traded fantasy sports advice, talked motorcycles, debated Cabo trips, and schemed over phone numbers with the comfortable shorthand of real-life friends. He was tight with the whole Stanhope/Hackettstown crew: thefunkyfresh, rocksupastar, delliott101, and magnum. He had a running message exchange with legs that was half flirting, half roasting each other's sports teams, and he coined the nickname "Jaha" for tesoro after she started calling him "Timatha" — a peace treaty neither side fully honored. Tim could swing from goofy to surprisingly thoughtful in one comment: his take on the prodigal son, about how the kid who never gets in trouble resents the attention the wayward one receives, showed a guy who thought about fairness more than he let on. He was also an unapologetic J.Lo music defender, insisting people only trashed her albums because hating on multi-hyphenate celebrities was the "in" thing to do — then helpfully pointed out that her dating Ben Affleck meant she liked "white guys with dark hair who are semi-tall," a description he clearly thought fit someone in particular. His "Ferrari or Mercedes? Long Hair or Short?" journal was pure goldmine: low-effort premise, maximum engagement. He showed up to real-life eZabel events, dreamed about what he'd do with fifty million dollars (donate half, buy pioneers new cars), and quietly faded out by October — a bright, fast-burning presence in eZabel's founding summer.
eZabel Personality Type: ESFP — "The Cabo Commuter." Tim brought the energy of someone who'd rather be at the beach but made the best of wherever he was — cracking jokes in the cubicle, defending pop music nobody asked him to defend, and turning every thread into something a little more fun than it was before he got there.
