Ridiculousness

I was just reading in the New York Post about some of the things the ex-CEO of Tyco (Kozlowski) did. Apparently he used a 19 million dollar loan to buy and redo a Mansion in Baton Rouge, Fla. He then also used a 13 million dollar "gift" from the company to pay taxes on the other loan. After this he was able to get the 19 million and another 25 million dollar loan wiped off the books so he no longer had to pay them back. Some of the things he spent this money on besides his mansion: a House in the Hamptons, a second house in N.H., a 5th avenue N.Y. penthouse, a sailing boat, (which he also put a consultant for the boat on Tyco payroll), and then theres the $6,000 SHOWER CURTAIN!! How do you spend 6 grand on a shower curtain?? WOW and he wasn't even the worst of these guys. None of this, probably, would have been exposed if he didnt try to hide $1 million of sales tax for paintings he bought.

This stuff is crazy. So many of these business man were getting away with this too, and if they didn't get so greedy, they wouldn't have been caught. Can you imagine having that kind of money??

First thing I'd buy is all the hello kitty stuff I could find!

Nah, I couldn't imagine having 34 million dollars. 32 million, yeah. But not 34. And the first thing I would buy would be a life size Batmobile!

Yeah, a real Batmobile... like the one from the 1960's TV show fully loaded with all the gadgets!!!! Or a 1964 Aston Martin DB5 like the one James Bond drives from time to time, again with all the gadgets.

i wouldnt tell anyone if i had that much money.. people would come outta the woodwork and pretend to by my friend. I would just live like i do now, but not borrow money from any of my friends anymore, im sure THEY would be thrilled about that...

I was talking about that with a brother from my congregation last week in service and we reached the same conclusion. But we would anonomously donate whatever it took to get a new Kingdom Hall for our congregations, make a hefty donation for the worldwide work and just pioneer. It'll never happen though...

yeah definitely! I think about this alot. what I would do with 50 or 100 million, first thing is to donate at least half. then use alot to buy new cars for the pioneers I know and some of the kingdomhalls that need to be built. because what do I possible need 50 or 100 mil for myself? I would be happy with 5 or 10
