The Truth About Boardwalk Witnessing
by Between Allison's journal entry and my comment at the Stanhope meeting thursday night some may have a distorted view of what Boardwalk witnessing is really all about. It's about these four 'punk' kids approaching a group of us girls while we were going for food on the boardwalk. They were playing some twisted version of 20 questions where they repeatedly ask us if we have boyfriends. They followed us around while we ate and then they ate our food. Because we let them eat our food they claimed that they owed us sexual favors. This is where the witnessing comes in. We went..'sex bad' and they went 'no..sex good' and we said 'become a witness..sex is bad' and they said 'ok'. Yeah, that's not really how it happened. They did say they owed us sexual pleasure and favors now..we just said 'riiiight'. Then they asked us how we were all friends seeing as how it is a bit odd for a group of girls ranging from 14 to 17 to be friends. That's how the witness thing came up. They were filled with sympathy about how we cannot celebrate birthdays or have sex until we're married (14 year old boys think about sex too much). They liked the idea of not being nationalistic because duh..punk kids are all about anti government. They wanted us to come to their houses sometime and said they'd talk to us about religion. Somehow I'm thinking no.

I can handle it alright. Jersey girls are innocent compared to these cali girls. Once, a girl just grabbed me, squeezed me to herself and explained to me that she was fond of my, er, rear end. I had to pull a joseph like manuever to get out of her grip, almost leaving my shirt in here possesion.

I took it completely the right way.. it was so hilarious because I was thinking of saying that a sure way to get rid of punk guys is to witness to them and they would stay away. In all actuality it's sad that once the hormones start jumping that all these worldly kids think of is one thing.

It's a local thing... there's an elder in "thatdarngirl"s congregation that everyone says is my twin (Alex). Even though he's like 9 years younger than me and a bit heavier, we do resemble each other and act quite a bit alike. I call his mother "mom" and she loves me like I am her son... his dad is the PO there and he's a really nice brother too...
