band party?
by so i was just wondering what you all would think about a repeat of hamilton street cafe nite out. now i did the very first one, which was alot of fun and packed with people. The second wasnt as packed.(cause i didnt make it=P)
but... i was wondering who is interested in going to another one! cause im planning one for the end of february.
any other bands interested? contact me for anything.

Two custom basses. Both have p-bass bodies and pickups and jazz necks. One is black with chrome hardware and it has the fender '56 reissue pickups with a gold pickguard. The other is a blue sparkle guitar with bartolini pickups and gold hardware....

Nice! I have a Jay Turser copy of a Hofner violin bass (think McCartney)and I picked up a Fender Standard Jazz Bass about 2 weeks ago-- very sweet bass. Wine red color.. waiting on a pearl white pickguard and want to add chrome bridge/pick up covers to it. Also an OLP 5 string (just sold it on ebay, though) and a Bently MusicMan 4 string clone... which I'm selling as well...
nice. I have great basses, but i'm not a great bassist. I only pick it up when my band practices. I'm really a guitarist, but it turned out that i was the worst of the three, so now i'm the bassist. I just write the songs.

Sweet... I prefer the action on the Jazz bass, but the P-Bass is really nice. I had the Squier version some time ago and never played it... the neck was too wide. I thought the Fender version was the same, but I tried one out and found I was wrong... it's more narrow than the Squier. But I like the look, feel and sound of the Jazz better.
BTW I have a Dean Markley 250 watt amp I got off ebay for a steal. Was part of a package. It works for me for now... til I get an Ampeg!

so heres another question... how should the place be funded? when i first did it, we had the bands cover the cost and made it free for everyone. Obviously everyone else likes that, but that just makes the bands pay. Then you can kinda have some kind of flow control to who comes in. How will we do that too. limit worldly people? Some kind of list? Secret password? See if the bands payed for it, we can still charge at the door, but now the money is going straight to the bands, and we kinda dont like that too much cuase that brings in issues. or maybe not. Next... if you have a charge at the door by the club, then they will put it on the site and take over basically, so we no longer have control over the crowd or even the bands playing. So there goes that idea. What do you all think
for the worldly people you can usually tell who they are. i was at a graduation party with like 200 people and 2 kids showed up to crash, and everyone knew they were crashin and the kid who's party it was came and asked them to leave in like 3 minutes of when they got there.
i actually worked the first time the bands played, asking worldly kids to leave and stuff. It wasn't really fun but that's how it goes. I like the idea of a secret password. I think the password should be "Watchtower Library CD-Rom" cause I just got the new one and it's awesome.
