by it seems like i'm the only greek in the world. a kid the other day told me "oh i thought greeks were extinct." mm.. i told him i was one and he's like wow. are there any greeks here?

for the most part, i do like southern italian culture better than northern. northerners are much more proud to be from the north, like they're better. its just cuz they're richer!

i did use the correct grammar...when you have more than one verb in a sentence, you only conjugate the first one..the ones that follow remain in the infinitive.

if you do a search on the musings for "greek" you'll see how often i talk about them. i love greeks! haha i had a good friend all through school who was SO greek, her family is from Chios. she taught me soo much stuff about greek culture, i love it. but i alwaaaaaays wanted to go to greece. hopefully one day. you should go to Astoria, Queens. plenty of greeks there.

Ive been to Zakinthos too..and Zante which I think is near by. I went on a boat trip to this ship wreck which is on this Island surrounded by a rock in the shape of a Crocodile...beauuuutiful place. But some little Greek kid pushed me in the water with all my clothes on..I wasnt to impressed with that!

it's possible that my paternal grandmother's family were greek. they spoke greek and italian. BUT they were from sicily and a lot of people there spoke/speak both since it was at one time occupied by greece.

i dont think its praising, saying one is better than another or somtehing, or ethnicity is great in general, cuz its true, its kinda stupid if u put great emphasis on it, cuz we're all eventually gonna be the same anyways! but i just find culture really interesting all around and thats why i like talking about it.
there really is not distinction except for cultural differences that happen when people group together for years and years. we all descended from the same two people. that's why people who think there is a "superior race" are really just ignorant.

whaaaat?! okay, you people think i'm insane already, so i may as well add to it. but the greek and italian (let me add Egyptian too) cultures and history is soooo amazing! first of all, cuz it goes the furthest back, so much bible history is incorporated into it. plus the greek and roman ruins?! amazing!!
