V8n'dots - the beverage of the future

The punk princess really suprised me in musing #6165, when she expounded that today she drank V8 for the first time. I just have to say that i love V8! In fact, I just made my mom buy a 24 pack of it the other week and its almost gone already, that stuff is so good.

Whenever I sip back on a cold frosty can of V8, it reminds me of when I was about 13, and a really rich neighbor hired me and and another friend to do stuff around her house like sweep up the deck, wash her car, sweep out the gazebo, clean the pool, clean out the horse stable, and stuff like that. Well, we did some of the work, but basically mostly all we did was raid her cabinets, eat pies, try to find a dictionary so we could find out what the heck a "gazebo" was anyway, break things, (i broke a vaccuum and a crystal punch bowl) and lastly, drink V8's. You see, one day while cleaning out their spacious pool house and breaking a vaccuum in the process, we discovered a large stash of V8's stored out there. From that moment on, I was in V8 heaven!

We inexplicably got fired a few weeks later. But not before decimating her entire V8 supply. Well, actually if I remember correctly, we didn't get fired. We would go to the house and knock, sometimes for hours, and nobody would answer. After several days we gave up because all the V8's and pies were gone anyway, and who wants to work for 5 bucks an hour without any perks? Ahhhh, those childhood memories.
