Pitt Wins!
The Pittsburgh Panthers won the Tangerine Bowl against North Carolina! The final score was 34-19. GO PITT!!!
"Who is pitt?" you may ask... Well, its the University of Pittsburgh's football team - The Panthers. Did you know Mike Ditka, Tony Dorsett, and Dan Marino all played for Pitt?? Even ESPN's Mark May (also played for the Redskins) played for Pitt. They also all have retired jersey's there too! The thing that makes this season of Panther football so incredible is that after winning their first game of the season against East Tennessee they humiliatingly lost the next 5 games they played against South Florida, Miami, Notre Dame, Syracuse, and Boston College. They were 1-5. But they came back with a vengence and won their remaining 5 games against Temple, Virgina Tech (what is a Hokie anyways??), Rutgers, West Virgina (Ian's soon to be father in law went to WVU, and i love taughting him about Pitt crushing WVU- ha ha), and Alabama-Birmingham. The Alabama Birmingham game was the best because after winning the game fans, including my brother, were throwing Tangerine's onto the field, because everyone knew they were heading for Florida to play in the Tangerine Bowl. I enjoyed going to every home game at the new Heinz Feild, which Pitt shares with the Steelers. You can see this new Stadium by logging on to www.heinzfield.com. I cant wait till next season!! GO PITT!!

Aright, let me tell you a little story about PITT...when I used to work at the hotel this one chick stayed there that was from Pittsuburgh and she graduated from PITT...she was obsessed about their football team. She talked about them non-stop, and she was out of that college for about 3 years at that point. So 6 months after that conversation, I was sent to Pittsburgh for a trainig course and I had a chance to go see one of the final Pirates games at Three River Stadiums, which they played the Reds, with some brothers and sisters out there. SO while I was watching the game at the stadium, I went downstairs to the bar to check out the METS game back at home against the Phillies, OF COURSE THE METS WERE WINNING!!! But anyways, while Im watching this game, every other single TV was turned to the Pitt game, and like everyone was glued to it...It must have been one of their first games of the season, but I couldnt believe the obsession they had over this college football team, and low and behold, I ran into that chick that stayed at the hotel 6 months before, and I was like, now I know why you talk about them so much, its because, everyone in Pittsburgh is a sports fan...
Honestly, Im telling you everyone I talk to from Pittsburgh loves sports, the females there know more about sports than some males over here...That was actually pretty cool...
Yes, i've noticed everyone from pittsburgh loves pitt football or penn state. i don't like college football, i only watch it if youngstown state is in the playoffs. Boston is all about baseball. My brother went there while there was a pitt. penquins game on and everyone was glued to their tv watching the baseball game, when he turned one tv to the pitt hockey game all of Boston was ready to pound him. haha.
Well, its kinda sad that Boston is all about BAseball, when they Havent won anything since 1918....talk about long-suffering
HAHa funny. yah they should give us Manny back since they aren't really using him. heh heh
ROFL!!! Thats sooo True!!!
