Summerall and Madden to Part Ways
by Fox sports has announced that after the superbowl, Pat Summerall and John Madden will no longer be in the announcing booth together. For the last 21 NFL seasons, these two have formed the most entertaining and recognizable combination in sports announcing. It has not been determined if either of them will have new announcing partners next year.
This announcement comes as a total shock to me! I have so many memories of watching football games over the years and hearing their familiar voices giving the play by play and analysis. Even though they both may be announcing next season, it won't be the same now that they will no longer be a team. So I entreat you, if you haven't heard this great announcing duo in action yet, make sure you have the volume turned way up this superbowl season, because it will be your last chance.

Personnaly i think announcers are a pain in the butt. As long as i see instant replays thats all i need. I just want to watch the game not hear 2 guys blab about stuff.

i know this has nothing to do with football... but you know the Yankee's announcer Kenny Singleton? My dad used to play baseball with him when they were younger...they used to call my dad "bullet bob" b/c of his pitching arm... pretty kool huh?
