For all your file sharing needs
by There's been some discussion on eZabel about what P2P file-sharing (Read: napster alernative) software is the best to use. When you want to listen to a new song, or find more songs from your favorite artist, or maybe even download a new movie or something, you want to be able to do it easily, quickly, reliably, and hopefully without tons of pop-up ads and other junk.
MusicCity's Morpheus used to be my favorite, until they got screwed up by KaZaA. The new version of Morpheus stinks so far. There's also the others, like Audiogalaxy's Satellite, BearShare, Limewire, and the aforementioned KaZaA. Well, Audiogalaxy and KaZaA both come with spyware which reports on your web surfing and downloading habits in order to send you advertisements and keep a profile on you. I, for one, do not like this. The less junk ads I have to see, the better. BearShare and Limewire are ok, but they're just not as reliable as I'd like, and their interfaces are ok, but not the greatest. This is why Morpheus was my favorite: it had a great interface, very reliable downloading, and fast, because it will download the same file in parts from more than one person at a time. KaZaA is basically the same exact thing as Morpheus, but with spyware added in.
So, guess what I recently heard about? KaZaA Lite. This takes one of the best clients, KaZaA and takes out all the ads, all the shopping stuff, and everything else you don't need, and still gives you a great P2P client that actually works! It's free and stuff.
Less killer, no filler baby! KaZaA Lite is now my favorite! And, no, I don't work for them! haha

well, you want to download the version 1.6.0 English version of the program, and it's an .exe, so you just want to open it. you don't need any special program. here's the direct link.

hey ian, what is the deal with kazaa? it's exactly the same interface as morpheus was... did they steal their coding or something?
nope. musiccity basically licensed the kazaa software and branded it as morpheus.
so why do you say kazaa messed up morpheus?
I loved MOrpheus, it was so great till the new interface came out! it was so horrible after that. Kazza changed their servers or uprgaded their program (something)and Morpheus wasnt compatible with the new stuff so they had to make a new version of it, which totally sucked.

i don't get into heavy downloading, so for the occasional d/l, AG works fine for me. my original version did have spyware, but their latest upgrade did not.
