eZabel Legacy

A burst of pure, unfiltered energy crashed into eZabel in July 2003 when Nick Mocerino — Pearl River, New York's loudest exclamation point — finally got tired of hearing skaorsk8 and the Valenti girls rave about this "weird site" and threatened Dan Hill into sending him a link. What followed was a summer of relentless enthusiasm. Nick didn't just join conversations — he detonated them, peppering every comment with strings of exclamation marks, capslock eruptions, and his signature battle cry: CRAZY GO NUTS!!! His very first comment announced "I do play bass and I'm surprised you all are fighting over me," which pretty much set the tone for everything that followed. With 132 of his 138 total comments crammed into a single blazing summer, he was less a sustained presence and more a comet tearing across the eZabel sky.

Nick's orbit centered squarely on Dan Hill and forrestina, with the three of them locked in a constant loop of roasting, inside jokes, and whatever mysterious events kept producing stories nobody could quite live down. He and Dan traded insults like a currency — "Reasons You Can't Compare Brad Pitt to DanHill" became one of his most-replied-to threads — while forrestina kept him honest with fondue fork threats and lint-removal allegations that spiraled into absurdity. fivezero served as the intellectual foil, once telling Nick that if he got bored reading, he could "find a pop-up book to look at," and ok4now welcomed him with a tongue-twisting "pre-poor pioneer" breakdown. He dove headfirst into the social scene — attending nineteen events from beach bonfires to go-karting days to Ocean's Twelve opening night — and coordinated jam sessions with bozo, trying to get a bass-and-drums thing going at his Pearl River place even when his guitarist was perpetually in Rhode Island.

His journals were small masterpieces of stream-of-consciousness chaos. The Cheerios Epic Poem — a freeform ode to his cereal craving that name-dropped Bob Dole and rhymed "milk" with "milk" on purpose — might be the purest distillation of Nick's brain ever committed to text. His Willy Wonka journal obsessed over the Tim Burton remake rumors with the fervor of a man who desperately needed the snozzberries to still taste like snozzberries. And his six-disc changer lament revealed a guy who genuinely suffered when limited to just Further Seems Forever and Rage Against the Machine on rotation. He was a music kid through and through — the username said it all — and he bonded with the NJ crew over underground punk and ska while cheerfully dismissing Bon Jovi and granting Springsteen a grudging pass "only cause of Max." By late 2004, Nick's activity faded to a final comment toasting alcohol on a photo, but for that one incandescent summer, nobody on eZabel burned brighter or louder.

eZabel Personality Type: ESFP — "The Exclamation Point." Nick lived at full volume and zero hesitation, turning every thread into an event and every event into a story. He didn't need longevity to make an impression — 138 comments and one legendary summer were more than enough to leave a mark that outlasted members with ten times his post count.
