yeah, great book, but i had the same experience. you kinda get to some long stretches of boring parts. the second two in the series suffere from the same problems, i think.

we did that a coupla years ago. it made for a fun night! i'd say it highly depends on the acting abilities of the people involved tho, so your mileage may vary.

because it turned out that EJBs sucked. the open source community came up with much better alternatives. and EJB 3.0 is pretty much a complete overhaul of the API.

i think currently you're stuck with burning the songs to cd and then reimporting them as mp3.

Java Persistence API sounds pretty cool. Seems like they're taking a lot of good ideas from Hibernate and similar tools. How does JPA relate to EJB?
