eZabel Legacy
Matt Green arrived on eZabel in September 2004 and wasted no time establishing himself as the community's most passionate sports debater. His very first comment — declaring Barry Sanders "weak" and Walter Payton superior, then listing John Elway, Randy Moss, Chad Pennington, Al Toon, and Joe Namath as his top five — was practically an invitation to fight, and thefunkyfresh and the Sports forum regulars were happy to oblige. He started threads on Monday Night Football, Randy Moss vs. Jerry Rice, and Ichiro's hit streak, and created a poll on how great Moss would be. But the surprise was the Macking forum: when suchgr8heights posed a question about whether opposite-sex best friends should have a deadline to define the relationship, kingadrock wrote some of the longest and most thoughtful comments on the site. He argued that your spouse should be your best friend, invoked the Duckie-from-Pretty-in-Pink principle ("he was always there for her, but she never thought of him like that"), and dropped a "how much more so" that suchgr8heights called "the best comment EVER in this thread." socalgal and specialk pushed back respectfully, and he held his ground without getting heated. He also had firm opinions about making out before a relationship was serious and told people who were getting played that they needed to "start hanging out with some new people." Twenty comments in six weeks, and then he was gone — but he left the Sports forum a little more argumentative and the Macking forum a little more honest.
eZabel Personality Type: ENTJ — "The Closer." Matt came in with strong convictions about running backs and relationships alike, argued his case with confidence and detail, and never confused having opinions with being unkind. Whether he was defending Walter Payton's legacy or invoking Pretty in Pink to make a point about friendship, he always made you think.
