i'm sure this is good but for some reason beef and pie just do not go together in my head chicken pot pie is okay but beef and pie meh

i didn't wanna say this cause i might be totally wrong... but isn't this like shepherds pie? Cause that stuff is MAD good.

Shepherd pie has actual seasoning and lamb and vegetables - the above recipe sounds like a poor man's version thereof.

what! this sounds better than real shepherds pie?!? how could instant mashed potatos be better than the real thing?! and shepherds pie has all the yummy veggies in there, and it's usually made with chunks of lamb (or beef, or mutton) not ground anything.
