Liam bought this album and i am totally diggin' it. It's just fun music, it puts me in a good mood like the academy is... does.
"Swing Swing" - All american rejects. I've always thought this song was really catchy, so I downloaded both of their albums. I have to exercise more restraint here, because although I like this song, the album it's on is not very good. I'd compare it to the Starting Line, who also have a few catchy songs, but their music just isn't creative enough. It's been done. The second, more recent album is better, but still not great. I need to stop downloading so much stuff indiscriminately.
Although I also got a bunch of Rollins Band, which only fuels my love of Henry. He and Chris O'Donnell are about even in my mind... :)
I was listening to the first all american rejects album on the way to college today. i only got to "swing swing" then changed it.
these guys are a clear case of "single artists." their singles are great, the albums are pumped filla filler. the albums just suck. i did the same thing diana did: heard the singles bought the albums . . . and regretted it. you gotta cherry pick with those guys.

you know why i stopped liking hoobastank was the day i was out in service and the service overseer's wife is driving and she's telling everyone about this amazing song she heard on the radio and how it reminds her of her husband and it's about how the reason for life is you and i think "oh god hoobastank turned into green day" (YOU HEAR ME ADAM PEPITONE!! GREEN DAY ARE LAME AND SELL OUTS!!!) ok, it's not really like i don't enjoy green day, i like some of their stuff a lot, but you rip on me for liking Rob Thomas and this guy said to himself "yeah, i'm gonna write some songs to get hot chicks", and it worked, because Rob Thomas's wife is HOT. But Green day was like "we are angry, we are punk, we are cool", and then MTV caught them and suddenly they are all "oh let's make some songs for WPLJ that could be graduation songs and old people will enjoy too, because that's where the money is". ARGH ADAM PEPITONE.

i've been on this lupe fiasco kick for a while. look for his mixtapes online, if you can find them (not from bit torrent - they are actually released free of charge). he has one entire mix tape of himself just rapping over gorillaz's songs, it's definitely entertaining.
me too, dude. his mix tapes are FIYAH! also Pharrel has some good mix tapes. i love the one with DJ Drama. very similar to Lupe. i love skateboarding rappers.
