Teenie Bopper Love (Or Is It?)

I was in class today and a discussion came about on how some people turn to actors, musicans and artists as idols or even looking to be like them. It got me thinking though that, if every teenie bopper looked up to someday more important like their father or mother or mature adult, such as an older brother or sister, that there wouldnt be this much caios in going crazy for these actors or musicians or artists. It also got me thinking about all those young girls from the ages of 12 - 17 who obsess about some older guy that they love. They seem to dissect every word he says to them, thinking that it means something special or sincere, yet all he is doing is saying something out of being a nice guy. Yet these girls or maybe even guys want to believe that they are that persons secial someone and they fantasize about them and grow so attatched that one person, but then when that person decides to get close to someone he or she can relate with on the same maturity leve, that poor teenie bopper person gets so depressed and feels neglected and ashamed. The question is why? Why do they go that far, why do they think that someone 6 years older or more than them would show interest in them, when thy arent even old enough to sign a document with out their parents cooperation? I realized this ending part swerved off abit from my initial journal entry, but I had a feeling and went running with it. But please feel free to comment on this. Such as if anyone experienced this or is experienceing it now?
