Mets acquire Roberto Alomar in eight-player deal

So here's the deal. The Mets are getting Roberto Alomar, who is no question the best second baseman ever. Now Edgardo Alfonzo is moving to third place to replace traded Robin Ventura, who was replaced for David Justice. Not only did we get Roberto Alomar, but we had to with the loss of Matt Lawton, Alex Escobar (the best player in the Mets farm system), Jarred Riggan (a promising 7th inning reliever), J. Thuble?? (The best lefty pitcher the Mets had in their farm system) and a player to be named later. In return I stated about the Mets acquiring Alomar, but they also get a pitcher and a back-up 1st/OF player. The METS aren't done yet; they are still looking for a good lead-off man, here are some prospects they are thinking of getting, even though they may not be great in the leadoff spot here they are:
Roger Cedeno
Jeromoy Burnitz
Juan Gonzalez
All these players are possibilities, but none are official. It will just be interesting to see what happens with the METS and they're season next year...I'll tell you this, I cant wait till next year....

i don't hate the METS for it. They were SMART, Cleveland is dumb. They(as in cleveland) are getting rid of all of their "old players" and getting fresh young kids and they are "rebuilding" the team like they did 5 years ago. At least we have good closing pitchers. and "the strike out king" aka Thome. Take thome, give us alomar back, PLEASE.

he's the only player with LOYALTY. he even said "i started in cleveland, i'm gonna end in cleveland" of course no other teams are offering him loads of cash so its easy for him to say that. haha. he goes in spirts, he's awesome one game then is crap the next. although he can hit it out of the ballpark pretty good.
Yeah, I know, I had him in my fantasy league and he was very impressive...he gave me tons of Hr's and Rbis, but his SO's were excessive, but what do you expect from a power hitter??

don't worry nine9star, baseball IS boring. it's just a bunch of highly paid guys who mostly just stand around the whole time in a game that can take up to 4 or 5 hours to finish. I can only watch baseball in the playoffs, otherwise, whats the point? it's so blasted BORING! now football, basketball, even hockey... those are manly sports. but baseball is a pansy sport.
