i'd like to enter a comment with my poll votes. the list of comments only shows with a 'view results' click or after voting.
i'd like to retract that last ridiculous comment. i was looking at the new poll and noticed the asterisk next to 'view results'. i looked at the bottom of the page for an explaination of the asterisk, and found nothing... what an idiot i felt like when i clicked 'view results' to find a COMMENTS section.

you know what Ian... I have some AWESOME ideas for a site, but I want to do my own...in the meantime, I think you should have an Ezabel map, with virtual pushpins of where people are in the world...and then you can tell better who is who by where they live.

i'd like a 'post' link in the header next to "Musings" and "Journals". that way, i can post something new without actually going into that section first.
I'm also thinking that the whole site should be a bit more streamlined... That's what I'm getting at with the redesign thing... like on the top of the page, look at all the wasted space. Yeah, the picture is nice, but if it wasn't there, you have a more compact header... OR you can keep it and utilize that space with a more effective menu system (take all the stuff from the right side of the home page and put it up there as well...) Oh, and what about a links page that everyone can contribute to? That would be nice to have....

How about a top 100 mp3 download list every month. and a top 10 movies or games list, that we can download from your server. And users can send you new files every month. this way you can limit your size to whatever you want yet you have a variety of things every month.

I was dwelling a little last night on this... on eZabel mail... I like how you can "unsend" messages that have not been read yet by the recipient, but it would be nice to delete sent messages as well as be able to cc or send e-mails to multiple people at one time!
so anybody have any ideas for anything completely new, and completely different?
i want to finish the eZabel Events section, which is sorta like Evite, but for eZabelers only. i want to set up photo albums that can be created by users. i want to make better profiles, so that you can make it more personal. i want a better search. i want to be able to send an email to somebody's real email address by sending them an eZ Message.

I don't think it was mentioned yet but i would like to see the "new" and "read" # of comments next to journals like they are in news stories.
a page with all of the users names on it, a way to change your info thing, a pole for the song of the week, and link to listen to it. you probably have all of this but i don't know 'cause i'm new and stupid.

i usually go to the inbox to find the list of users. but you're right, you need to have a way to eliminate 'stale' accounts. maybe three months would be better. some people just take a month off, you know.

Not a buddy list, I didn't say that (actually, you did, Brian)... just a page that had a directory of sorts that would list all the users, then you could click on the user name you are looking for and that would take you to their profile.

doesn't that get away from the whole concept? i mean, we can all use IM's now. the musings is a cool way to see what other people are talking about, and contribute if we want. if we had an IM, then what's the point.
well, same thing with the Inbox and Chat room on here. You can just use email, and AIM Chat Rooms (etc.). Instant Messenging on eZ would be very cool, cause you don't know everybody's screen names on AIM/MSN/ICQ/whatever, and some people don't even use that stuff. You could just see somebody on the site, click on their name, and IM or eZ Msg them... pretty neat idea.
