todd, you forgot Pete Granata on the tiny miracas, and counting crows imitations
wow, you speak Japanese??!!!
Not really. I took a couple of years of it in college recently, but I'm rapidly forgetting it.
My uncle through marriage is japanese, born and raised. i JUST called him. he said that in many dialects they say Ray-men, whereas others say rah-men. and they are both widely accepted...
Well, my Aunt is Japanese and she said it's always Rah-men.
hmm... ::(thinking) "I too have an aunt..." ::
touché linz... touché.
lol, that was SO perfect, t-baz!!!! "I too have an aunt...touche salesmen, touche" So funny I'm about to... UH! OHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
just like you have the same kitchen appliances that i do! (and not to mention the little duck salt shakers...)
Really? That's quite surprising. I don't think I've ever heard a Japanese speaker pronounce 'ra' that way. Did he mention which dialects pronounce it that way? I don't doubt that he knows more about this than I, but in the standard Tokyo dialect it's definitely pronounced rah-men.
well he's from tokyo, at least right outside...
he said that they do say both, but in the hood they say ray-men.
sounds like a scandelous mail order bride ordeal...
