one of my co-workers was like that, she has asthma and would smoke like a 3 packs a day. she would always be coughing, have attacks, be in the hospital for her lungs and still would not give it up. I would tell her that she should just give up smoking for her health and she would say "ya know, i love it so much and if i die, i'll die happy"...until one day she had an attack that was so life threatening. actually she died like 5 mins from it, heart stopped, too much air in the lungs, they had to use the "paddles" on her. she was in a coma for 4 days hooked up to machines.
now she's doing better, doesnt smoke, cleaning up her life, asking me all kinds of questions about the truth. so sad what some have to go through to appreciate life.

Hack question: The stupid computer guy in our office is responsible for installing the windows updates, so I turned off the automatic updates bubble, because I hate it popping up every day. Then, he asked me about it, let's say we exchanged heated words, and he changed my automatic updates settings to that every option is grayed out. How do I 'un-gray' the options and turn the stupid updates off?
Protip: Don't change it. If he wants auto updates turned on, you should leave them on.
If it makes you feel any better, I have Automatic Updates turned on at home. There's too many windows bug and vulnerabilities being found all the time.

He's a real sweet dog and very timid right now. The people that found him, found him in the woods almost starved to death and had to carry him home. They already have 2 shepherds and a lab and they couldn't keep a third big dog. So that's where we came in! haha ;)
He's sleepin right now and he's real scared of cars and stuff but I'm sure with time and love he'll be ok. :)

I just saw an ad online about a husky/shepherd about 6 months old that needs a home, he was found in the woods (so most likely dumped there) and is house trained, etc. and he's about 20 minutes from my work, and, free.
And the husky puppies we're supposed to see tomorrow are like a 4 hour drive, they need to be trained "from scratch", and they, well, cost money.

There is nothing like having a best friend. As long as me and Tina have been friends, and as many life changes we've gone through, we are still crazy alike, and think the same thoughts. working at my doctors office has really made me want to learn spanish. there was just this really sweet older lady that was trying to talk to me about her needing to call her daughter, and i finally got it, from my limited spanish knowledge and italian background. it would be so helpful if i learned it. i think i would pick it up quick because it is so similar to italian.
when we hosted he international convention, my bestfriend had some friends from italy staying with them and their english was very limited and we were able to converse in spanish/italian and we totally understood each other.

well, video cards have their own RAM, from 64mb to 512mb, but it's not usable by the computer. it's dedicated memory for the video card, like for textures and other 3D operations used in games.
