St. Lucia was okay.
Playa del Carmen was awesome. Beautiful beaches, laid back, fun little town, close to some fun touristy things to do, short ferry ride to Cozumel. The only thing is, you'll want to check out the beaches there; they had a hurricane a coupla years ago that really hit some areas hard and I'm not sure how they've recovered.

LOVE IT. Depending on where you Stay it can be pretty cheap. Costa though is getting more touristy. Certain area's of course.

I was all over in Costa Rica, and I absolutely LOVED it. I went in November (which is an important detail, because it was the tail end of the rainy season. Everything is cheaper then, but you will most likely get more rainy days than dry ones...but it doesn't always rain all day.) I especially loved the west coast town of Santa Teresa (near Mal Pais), and the southern town of Quepos, which is near Manuel Antonia National Park (it's a rain forest). We stayed at a hotel owned by witnesses in the area. The food is great, and the bethel branch is awesome. You can get by with knowing little to no spanish, but it's def. a plus. If you want to explore or relax, CR is the place to do it.
I've also been to Belize in March, and... it's wasn't nearly as pretty as Costa Rica. But if you have can scuba dive, Belize has the Blue Hole, which is like the #2 dive spot in the world.
i been to belize. it was pretty cool. good hiking and swimming there.

it was SO weird tho, yesterday, we were at dland, it was SO nice and sunny and warm out. we got on a ride, we get off the ride and all of a sudden it was all dark and stormy and humid out. Then like 2 hours later the clouds rolled on by and it was super sunny again.

I was so annoyed last night - I had a talk, my first in this hall. I'd told the overseer that I didn't mind giving talks on short notice, so I was at the top of the schedule this time; I got the slip the sunday before (we have a thursday school). That sunday, I approached my householder, a younger girl, who my bookstudy told me just graduated 8th grade and was obsessed with being a "grown up". I asked her if she needed a lot of time to prepare, and she said no. I got her email and phone number and told her I'd email her the talk then call her to go over it. Fine.
So I wrote the talk and emailed it to her yesterday afternoon at about 2:30, thinking she'd read it once or twice, then I called her at 5:30.
Me: So did you get the talk?
Her: No.
Me: Uh, ok, did you check your email?
Her: No.
Me: Ok, well I sent it this afternoon, do you want to check your email now?
Her: Uh, my mom wants to talk to you.
Her mom then proceeded to basically chastise me for putting too much pressure on her daughter by giving her a talk "so last minute". I wanted to jump through the phone and punch her! What would her little princess do if someone asked her in school why she doesn't celebrate holidays? Say she needs a week to prepare an answer?
After calling about 5 sisters, I finally found one to do the talk with me, and it went fine, the sister was really nice and she did a great job. Then the little girl saw me in the bathroom and said, "I'm sorry I didn't want to do the talk, I just don't like doing things last minute." I told her she should let the overseer know so that doesn't happen again. The sister who bailed me out said she wasn't surprised that the girl didn't want to do it because she's "a little princess". I told the overseer what happened while he was giving me my counsel, and he apologized for matching me with her, saying she'd done that before. Not being raised in the truth, it's completely beyond me why these kids join the school just to make their parents happy - it was obvious that this kid didn't want to do the talk. So aggravating.
I'd have punished her if she were my daughter. How does a mother scold another person because her daughter didn't feel like doing a talk? Poor parenting on her part. I forsee problems with that girl in the future.

Well, word from inside the company is that CLOVERFIELD is a giant monster movie, featuring something that's being referred to internally as "The Parasite," and we’re going to see a trailer for it very soon that’s been designed and shot even as we speak. And what makes this different than any other giant monster movie? Well, as I understand it, most of the film is going to be shot using home video cameras, as if from the point of view of real people who are experiencing an attack on New York. It’s designed as a fairly small picture, all things considered, and right now, they’re working to make sure the script is going to deliver some wild thrills (like an earthquake that levels Manhattan or an oil tanker flipping over by the Statue of Liberty), but that it’s not suddenly going to turn into a giant $150 million movie. It’s a tricky balance, and if they pull off everything they’re trying to do, CLOVERFIELD could be something really groovy. Not a man in suit in sight.

Some church in Hackettstown used "Transformers" in the title of a talk posted on their billboard. LOL! I can't remember the whole title, but it was amusing.
