I spun out twice on the drive home this morn' fortunately both times I managed not to BE HIT or HIT anyone.
Meet a future American President
okay, to be honest, i didn't know the answer.... But.... if this was my daughter, I would absolutely, positively, blow my brains out. As a parent, I would know that I failed at life, and it is no longer worth living.
outside the studio i would make a huge fire pit... so i could throw all the morons in it.
she'd definitely go in there.
yeah that's a good plan too, i mean i guess the parents can keep on living.. i guess
you guys see what's going on in hillary's pad right now?
Some loony strapping firecrackers to his chest.
Hey everyone! My cousin had her first baby this morning! WOOO HOOO!!!! I'm a second cousin!!!!(again). The baby was so tiny! Only 19 inches! About 6 pounds and ? ounces. I'm so excited!
Awwwwww CONGRATS! =D
Was he or she a preemie, or just itty bitty? I was early so that's why I was tiny.
she's just a cute and tiny little thing! SO cute!
it makes me glad that a 14 year old could stand up to that kind of pressure from his parents, to do what's right
i always wonder how i would react if that was me, and everyone was pressuring me - i know it would be hard to do the right thing
you ever hear stories of how someone's in the hospital and the nurses will whisper at like 2 AM "just take the transfusion, we won't tell anyone" ... man.
Just goes to show his Aunt did a good job in making Jah real to him. That's why its important for parents to study with their kids.
so true. and equally important for all family members to study together.
you can pretty much tell the kids in the hall who have family study and the ones who don't. (not always, but for the most part).
That would be my family while I was growing up. Very dysfunctional household. All I can do is not let that be repeated now that I run my own household.
that happened w/linda. her blood count was down to a 2, she was dying and when no one was around, in the middle of the night or they were cleaning her wounds they'd whisper, "come on linda, dont you want to live? just take the blood we PROMISE we wont tell anyone" when she told me that it just made me sick and creeped.
i would like to get a bumper sticker, cause i've never had one
what would mine say?
Got Soy?
hmm possibly
10/10
hahaha nnice one
"hey, let's never be friends"
(from a Demetri Martin joke)
haha do you think that applies to me? LOL
no... it just reminded me of when he says "i love bumper stickers. You know what they say to me, "let's never be friends"
something like that
i'm looking for it on youtube haha
Lets get some upbuilding chitchat going:
Deutoronomy 25:11-12
So... what if she isn't my wife?
Perhaps my Girlfriend? or perhaps a female with no particular trite label but everyone knows theres something going on..?
Do I give her a high five? a hand?
uh i think a pound would suffice
you know what's weird? When people's hair is the same color as their skin. Like overly tanned girls whose hair is the exact same shade of brown-ish as their skin. Or Nicole Kidman. So weird.
OOOOO i know what you mean. like that one tiger girl singer. the one that was on dancing with the stars. i couldnt stop staring at her cause she like blended in
that monochrome look turns me OFF. actually, i like contrast. i realize that because i like pale girls with dark hair... and the occasional hispanic girl with crazy blonde hair. though more the former than the latter.
yeah. my hair is kind of blonde now but i am itching to go really dark again. i fear the monochrome hahaha
yeah, go dark again.
you look good both light and dark. but i love the dark hair on you.
WHAT ABOUT ME BRIAN... ME!!!!!!! WHAT ABOUT MY SKIN COLOR AND HAIR....
you make me feel so ugly.
i like dark hair with tan skin OR only some can pull off the light fair skin w/dark hair. they have to have a certain style. like girls that are pale w/dark skin need to wear makeup. i HATE the makeup less granola looking chick. now like a dita von teese...i LOVE that kind of pale and dark hair
i love how dita von teese looks too. i've been debating on whether or not to dye my hair that dark dark brown or maybe even black. but my skin isn't pale at all so i'm not so sure i'd get the same result as her or even half as good.
you're my hero ;)

exactemundo, dan
THATS what im talking about!!!
hawt
ew, ugly hair and weird shaped head, and VERY weird pointy boobs. Cute face, just lose the hairstyle and get a boobjob.
hahaha, it's a retro shot. that's how bras were shaped and hair was done back in the 50's look at the car. the style. c'mon now, mama.
okay, i get the retro idea, but i'm still sticking with my boob observation because, you can see that it's not a padded bra, that is in that cone like shape, she looks like she's wearing a flimsy, padless bra, and therefore really does have weird, pointy boobies. hahah
No way! I was thinking how pretty she is looking more natural and not like every other famous woman wearing a wonderbra. (is she even wearing a bra at all?) I totally respect women that are comfortable being themselves and don't feel the necessity to alter their bodies with surgery just to conform to the "perfect" idea of beauty. She's got a cute face, gorgeous eyes, and a nice stomach...her breasts better not look perfect sheesh. lol:)
well, i was exaggerating with a boob job, but there is no reason you should have a funny looking chest, they make amazing bras, bra inserts, all kinds of stuff, there is no good reason not to utilize those tools. And i'm not saying only BIG boobs look good either, i think women look cuter sometimes with a small chest, but they don't have to be POINTY! haha
oh i love her she is so cute!!
I was just about to post her pic
I really love her sister Emily (she's on the show - Bones). I actually don't know anything about Zooey.
Jennifer Morrison has the pretty contrast thing going on
yeah, good call. rose byrne too.
Like this is way Bad

ya she looks like she would look good with a dark auburn red
My girlfriend's kid has that going on. Haha... He's still cute though.
But it's natural right?
Yes. Very natural.
Believe it or not, I used to know a kid back in the day their mother was a beautician and she used to practice hair coloring techniques on them.
Made for some fairly interesting results to say the least.
the BEST frozen yogurt topping: COCO PUFFS!!!

Does anyone here have the new Three Days Grace CD? I'm seriously jonesing to hear Riot, but I left my copy at home. Can someone put it on the ftp?
hey dude! how you been? still working at oracle?
Yup still here at Oracle. I've been doing well. The biggest news is that I just finished helping my parents move across the country. They're now living less than half a mile from the house I grew up in in MA. It's kind of weird. I never thought they'd move back.
How about you, anything new?
That's cool, but that's a long ways to visit them...
Not much has changed on our end, same job, same congregation. Doing well!
Boo Mojitos!
Hooray Caipirinhas!!!
cachaca, lime, mint leaves if you want, vodka, sugar cubes.
BANG!
When are we camping Ian? I need beer around a campfire. Pronto! Haha...
no immediate plans. we have to figure something out. maybe January.
Brent told me next month. Is December too busy for you?
he told me January...
He must have been off the valium when he told you that. Haha...
you need a mojito....PRONTO! lol
Yeah. I should tell my woman to have one waiting for me since she is at my place cleaning right now. Haha...
you're so old school.
She spoils me.
thats really good tho!
She has very good qualities all-around. Her parents raised her well.
thats so awesome! after all you have been through you def deserve a good woman!
I'd like to think I deserve that. hehe
you deserve a good woman. and a better mistress.
Wow... The latter stumbled me. LOL!
oh, get up
best mojito everrrrr!
mint
half tea spoon of raw sugar
bacardi rum
cruzan mango rum
ginger ale
KILLER.
Sounds yummy.
How much of each?
Mojitos get 1oz of alcohol I think
So with 2 Kinds of Rum, it'd be .5oz of each rum
The general recipe is:
Rocks glass
Several Mint leaves & sugar muddled
1 oz Rum
Fill with sweet & sour mix
Top with club soda
Lime squeeze garnish
bacardi is 80 proof, but that cruzan mango stuff is like half that and is used more for flavor. So, do one ounce of each. it's yummy.
have you tried the pomegranate ones? or raspberry? OMG
anyone used an online pdf converter? comments?
they have those, huh? interesting. are they free? if so, give it a shot. if the PDF produced looks good, then use it.
My ex is creating problems for the Jake in school.... geez.... She sent an email to the school saying she wants him to participate in the Winter concert and sing holiday songs... See Ian, this is what I was telling you about before. She's a trouble maker.
That's ok though. I talked to the principal. Jake only has to sing the winter/seasonal songs. She just boils my blood. Some women are pure evil. haha
Wow, that's pretty rough. :/
since you have custody cant you put her on a "do not" list. like "do not release info, child, ANY INFO" type of list. like if she calls just hear her out and thats it.
we had had guardianship of my nephew when he was little (his mom, my sis, had MAJOR issues going on) and we did that with his schooling etc. so he was not to be released to her, the school wasnt to contact her, adn if she called it was strict that they dont take her advice (etc) like just ignore her like the crazy lady. and the school complied.
yeah i was gonna say how does that hold any water, a parent who does not have physical custody at the time, in a different state no less, what say does she have
unless the schools etc know, specifically, they still release info etc cause she is a "parent" ya know.
nutty
oh yeah it is. we had to go through it and its not fun. like my poor little nephew was almost a "prisoner" at his own school. my sis was crazy and his dad was in and out of prison so we had to take EVERY step to have him protected.
The stupid thing about the arrangement is that it's considered split custody still. So by law she has rights to enforce stuff and get info. I couldn't get the judge to uphold a "no holiday" celebrating in school. So what I am going to do is file a motion requesting that the children make a choice on their own whether to do it or not. Jake is 8 and has chosen not to. So I think 8 should be the cut-off for both kids.
And while I'm at it, I'm requesting more child support. I get $50 a week for two kids... Give me a break. I know people who get $150 for 1 kid.
so its joint custody? you dont have them like a 51%/49% type thing?
how old is emily? (thats her name right?)
Its more like 85%/15% and yet they consider it joint custody. haha...
Yes, she is 6. Speaking of her, her teacher gave her a book about ghosts yesterday. I was pissed. I told her to throw it away. That woman seems to side with Emily's mother. Don't ask me why...
And 13.5% of that time she has is a month in the summer that she takes them.
of course she'll side with the ex...satans helping her. just hang in there. beleive me i understand that troubles.
Well I'm gonna help her with a drop kick. Hahahaha....
yeah... because it's okay for parents to lie about santa, the easter bunny, the tooth fairy and other crap, but it's NOT OKAY for us to "brainwash" our children with Bible Truths
People are sick and twisted, what can ya do.
Well, you know that's not strange, right? Of course the teachers are gonna side with the non-Witness. Because the teachers generally want the kids to participate in everything and not have any restrictions.
does jake wanna sing the dumb songs?
No he doesn't. He approached me about it. I sent his teacher an email, then the teacher told the principal about it. Apparently it's part of the cirriculum to sing.
hahaha EWWWWW
for crying out loud, an ipod dock? i'd be afriad of dropping it in there.
i know. and facing someone when you're going to the restroom. LOL BLECK
hubby: "hey, how's it going?"

wow pretty cool! thanks
I'll tell you what true love is... When your gf out of the blue offers to clean your apartment. Now that's a keeper!
eh, ive done that for my male bff...sorry to burst your bubble. lol
and i dont offer, i just start doing it.
Man, all of you latin women are keepers. Hehe...
Thanks a lot! LOL!
HAHAHAHAHA
Just for that, if I break up with her, you have cleaning duty! Hahaha
i had a girlfriend who visited me from 3+ hours away before i left for a cruise. she stuck around town after i'd left [i forget why] and her car started acting up. so, she takes it to get checked out and while she was waiting she cleaned my room, top to bottom, and even bought some stuff she thought i'd needed. i don't know if she was just killing time or if her festidious nature and her abhorrence of my poor organizational skills compelled her help me out. . . or if she just wanted to do something really nice for me. i don't know. i'm sure it was mix.
hm, i didn't really mean fastidious. i meant.. structured. yeah. structured.
This is awesome, just saw it on the news:
Undercover restorers fix Paris landmark's clock
http://www.guardian.co.uk/france/story/0,,2217067,00.html
This is the same secret organization that setup a movie theater, bar, and restaurant in the Catacombs a few years ago.
Original story on the underground cinema: http://film.guardian.co.uk/News_Story/Guardian/0,4029,1299449,00.html
So awesome. We need a movie about this.
We do. I was thinking the same thing.
with witness raves! JK
unfortunately, for it to be any good, it'd have to be a digitally shot indie. perhaps centered around disenchanted french rich kids hanging out and waxing intellectual/philosophical. there'd have to be a love story, or even triangle, that forces the group to break up, leading them to abandon the secret party spot, which will later be found by the patrolling catacomb police. evidence could lead the cops to the young people, forcing them to happily reunite in the tense court setting. the return to the catacombs and resume their parties under the noses of the authorities. the end. i should freaking write this!
OTHERWISE we can expect a really cheesy, over the top "innocent teenaged american tourists get tortured and killed after stumbling upon a sinister french catacomb cult's ritual ceremony" movie from our awful, crappy, exploitive hollywood system.
i'm sure there's a legit french documentary and movie or two about the catacombs floating around.
wow so cool! haha
this is so cool!
this makes me want to plan a trip to paris. has anyone ever seen that show on the travel channel called underworld adventure. one episode was just the guy, a camerea, and a guide going through all the tunnels under paris. it was insane. and they're having parties there? i want to go.
no offense, lol. but you could be a composite for one of the characters in the movies i made up above... the second one, lol. hippy world traveler happy girl... HUNTED! awww. JK
Does the hippy girl flip the bird in this one? LOL!
when do hippy girls NOT flip the bird?
Ah, very true.
No, it'd be the backwards peace sign because it'd be taking place in France.
hahaha i'd be down with it but i don't want to die. maybe i'd just learn a little lesson. like don't talk to strangers. especially when i don't speak french and don't know what they're saying.
Our Cable company took away the Travel Channel. Miss it soooo badly!
Trying to work out a 3 days in the office/2 days at home schedule with my boss. I hope he goes for it. It would help me out tremendously.
didnt you already have that?
No, it was just the flexibility of being home if my kids were off or sick.
you know what's crazy? when you think, wow, in 10 years i'm going to be like 35. Dang. And then you realize, ummmm yeah actually in 10 years i'm going to be almost 39. YEAH. haha. my mind is still 4 years younger i guess.
Join the club, except my mind is at 45 right now.
i saw this on the news today and i was like.. uhh... ian and mikayla are back now right? geez i guess you left just in time
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071128/ap_on_re_eu/france_violence
I started this riot in the basement of a restaurant. I incited it, and then I left.

Radiohead's In Rainbows is working it's way up to my #2 favorite Radiohead album after OK Computer. It's really good stuff.
Oh, wow. I've been avoiding it for some reason and I don't know why. I'll have to cop it.
You bought it ahead of time right? How much did u offer for it?
0.00 Pounds. lolz
oh wow...he went out like shannon hoon
"Casey Calvert, bassist for the band Hawthorne Heights, died Friday while on the band's tour bus"
Pictures from Paris!
http://picasaweb.google.com/ianzabel/ParisInTheFall
Nice pics! I was wondering when you two were actually going to smile. Haha... You started to about midway through. Do you speak French to be able to understand the people you ate lunch with?
Haha, there was more smiling than it looks like in the pics. I tend to take more candid photos.
Most of the people that we went out with spoke English to some degree. And the guy sitting on my right at the restaurant is actually an American, from LA and Brooklyn Bethel. He's married to the girl on my left.
The first few of Mikayla I was like, "Wow, she looks thrilled to be on vacation." Haha... But they were awesome pics. The architecture is just mind-blowing.
wow. some of those pictures were really well taken. good stuff. hope you's had a swell time.
Thanks! We really did. Mikayla had a bit of a sore throat and cold the entire time, so that was really wearing her out. But I think she did a great job of holding off the full wrath of it until we got home. She's really sick today, heh.. :(
Awww... Well her lil Ian-kins better take care of her. Hehe...
ooooh la la!
I think their favorite thing to say there is Voila! they say it all the time.
sweet i love saying that. haha. i wanna go to paris. in the springtime.
Paris
in the

Great pics!!! looks like you guys had an awesome time! :-D
OMG those pics are awesome! some of them def look pro!

thanks! i have no idea what you said there, tho. i don't know much french really.
if i'm on the right track: we got home Monday at 12:30pm. we were there for a week. it was a nice length of time. got to see so many things. great times :)
Only in Europe can one crack a smile when it's raining - Wonderfulness
that's so great!! man, why did napolean have such sweet digs and why can't mine be more like them? glad that you guys had such a cool time.
all of those palaces are insane. the decorations, and amount of wealth... just overbearing. i would love to see Versailles in the spring or summer. it must be so pretty.
OMG OMG IAN ZABEL IS SO HOT
so what made you guys choose paris? do you know people there? chris and i were wondering about this and we thought maybe it's your heritage? Mikayla kind of looks french - especially in the rain with the umbrella, super cute. And I want some french cheese. man some of those pics are so cool, the king's throne and the eiffel tower, so awesome
Why Paris... ummmm good question. I think Mikayla just one day decided she wanted to go to Paris. Probably to see Versailles mostly. We love Europe. And old stuff. Neither of us have any French in us. She did fit in quite nicely, though, especially with that fancy scarf she bought ( http://picasaweb.google.com/ianzabel/ParisInTheFall/photo#5137289400667997778 ), haha.
It really was wonderful. I think we'll remember this trip forever.
A little more info on the guy who did the JW Documentary, Knocking...

Does anyone know anything about golf clubs? I want to get austin a set for our anniversary but have no idea what a good brand is or average price for a mid-grade set.
decent sets start out at like $150 and then go up from there. Mine was like $250 and then i wanted some accessories and special crap so i ended up spending like $500 to start out, but i've got hybrids..
Hey everyone. How was the long weekend? We had a relaxing, uneventful weekend up until sunday morning. Our Kingdom Hall burned down. :( It was so sad. We went there after the flames were put out and it's a total loss. The four exterior brick walls are standing, but everything was destroyed inside. So we have a lot of work ahead of us. We have our meeting tongiht at a neighboring hall so we'll find out more info tonight. Plus, our car was broken into sat. night. There were a few cars on our block hit. They only thing they got was my transpod...which is like $100. So we made a police report. But we could have had the GPS in there, my cd book, my ipod. Man, i would have been devasted. Especially about the cd book, because a lot of those things you can't replace. (CDs that were signed and such)
We usually always keep our doors locked, but we think we didn't sat. night, cuz we were carrying in a bunch of stuff from the car and prob just forgot. Ugh, it's so invasive to think someone was rifling through your things. it makes me mad.
So, that was our crazy weekend....sheesh.
News Story
http://ydr.inyork.com/ci_7560974
It's so weird to see our elders & CO in news pics and them being quoted and stuff.
wow... i can't believe that. it says the fire may have been started by recessed lighting... i'm surprised the inspector didn't catch that when the building was put up
Terrible. but as it's been said, at least no one was in the Hall.
thats terrible! it was cool that the volunteers/quick build was mentioned though. good witness
i'm sorry to hear about your hall - do authorities suspect arson or anything like that?
also - my transpod is no longer being used, and you are welcome to it. I got it in 2005 so it's a little old, but definitely all yours.
No, they think it was an electrical malfunction. I think it's the 3rd link i posted has something about the lights.
aw, and that's really nice about the transpod, but a friend of ours is installing something like a transpod in my car. thanks dan!
Jahanna - Im so sorry to hear that... That's really sad, I guess when it rains it poors... thankfully we have this loving organization to strengthen us when we need it...
ugh sorry to hear about the hall and your car, wow, that really stinks :( and i'm really sad about the hall, those photos made me so sad!
UGH! im SO sorry about your hall! im w/kam, it really made me sad to read the article and see the pics!
and im sorry about your car also!
Wow. That's really rough. Sorry to hear about all this.
UPDATE:
So last night at the meeting. We were told the fire was definatly due to some recessed lighting that had insulation packed too tightly around it. And we're going to do our building project in Feb. in 4 days. How cool is that?! Reporters were at our meeting last night and videoed the whole first segment, and interviewed a number of people. There are more articles and stuff, all really positive. This is going to be a really good witness!!
wow, that's great! February! So fast, that's awesome.
wow that's great!
That's getting things done quickly. Had I found out about the fire on Sunday, maybe we would've stopped by... I was in Hershey & Lancaster over the weekend.
if you've learned anything from ezabsweater, its that you should lock your doors.
Oh man... Cajun catfish is giving me major heartburn... wow....
is it crazy warm by everyone? cuz here it's like 65 or so.
um 65 is COLD by SoCal terms. lol
who asked you, turkey? lol
Speaking of turkey... It's very nice to get free turkeys. haha
HEYYYYYY chicaken nugget....lol
yeaaaaaaaaah it was a beautiful beautiful beautiful day in NYC, absotootely perfecto
it was probably like closer to 70-75ish
p.s. i need to live off bleecker street, stat
I don't know if anyone else feels this way, but i think giving the WT presentation from the platform is the most nerve wracking thing...way more than commenting/talks. Me & Austin have it next Tues and i'm already nervous about it.
I think it's because you have to stand the whole time and everyone's staring at you, and you really can't have notes. I dunno, just kinda scary.
I havent given one in a while, well ever since I have been getting people to do them for me. At least you and Austin practice it way before hand. It scares me sometimes when the night of the presentation I go to my volunteers and they tell me that they haven't practiced it yet!!
ughh, the day before a holiday goes so slow. no one wants to work so no one generates work.

hey guys,
we made it paris! but the strike is terrible. haha. we braved the RER to get to the hotel (i think we were the only ones from our plane to take the train.), but it stopped short about 5km because of the strike. the taxi lines were about 150 people long, so we asked around and took the metro from there the armed guards were very helpful in herding the crowds onto the super packed rush-hour trains. finally made it after about 1.5 hours after leaving the airport. not too bad though, because all the trains are FREE!
the weather has been rainy, and a bit cold, but not too bad. it's hard getting around with the strike going on, but we made it to the Eiffel Tower last night, it was beautiful. very cool to see at night. we were going to travel to Versailles today, but the RER is not running, so we're going to see the Catacombs, if we can get there, hehe.
so far, we've had some good crepes, and no gross french food. haha. we're doing our best to try some of the small local restaurants, but the weird french food keeps scaring me off.
okay, have a nice week!
Ian & Mikayla
we got to the catacombs, and they were closed till january. great!
doh!
That's rright, I almost forgot about that strike going on. beat. Hopefully Belgium doesn't get any ideas about doing the same thing, because I might be going over there next month.
rosie o'donnel with a shaved head?
um, ok...
this is one of redsweater's holy cows. you can't mess with ness. respekt.
i guess that would just make rosie a regular cow. OH!
most definitely. a stupid gay cow.
All this cow talk, i have to tell this story. I work at a specialty clinic and we have Ortho docs here. This guys called up today and said he had a broken foot, and i asked how he broke it, and he said a cow stepped on his foot. So immediatly i started chuckling and said, wow, i havn't heard that one before. And i think i offended him cuz he just hung up. hahaha But like, he was a young guy, maybe 18, who would think he'd get all offended. lol, only in PA.
Does anyone know about using the albums with evite? The applet doesn't load for me through firefox :(
I think there's something w/ an active x control/addon, is there a way around this?
BTW just so we're clear I'm trying to upload photos. Evite tells me to wait 10-20 seconds then firefox freezes.
sweet. wow january. that's soon. this year flew.
Hi guys! I have a HUGE favor to ask of someone...
my friend has a consultation in brooklyn with a neurosurgeon the beginning of january..does anyone have enough room and wouldn't mind giving her and her husband a place to stay for 2 nights max? If its to much don't worry...It's just, if she needs this brain surgery they will be completely broke..but she has to go to the consult first and its the beginning of January. So if its something that you would be able to do, please email me. Mandieb25@yahoo.com Again, if its to much, no worries! Thanks guys!
emailed, bam
any response on this?
hey sorry, i have to go to the library to check email and i didn't get a chance to until now...so check your email. and THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!
hey mandie - I spoke to your friend on the phone a few times, and tried to get her a place to stay with friends close to her doctor (I live like an hour and a half from where her doctor is).
Anyway, she ended up getting a hotel and my wife and I just met her and Bryan (her husband) for lunch. Good times. I'm glad everything worked out for her better than she hoped.
wow. i've reached a pivotal day in my life. i just read the weezer wikipedia entry and found myself starting to hunt for some rare stuff. i can't believe i've reached this point.
dean h, if you're still on here, i'm sorry.
haha. I log on for the first time in probably a year(?) and this is what I see. wow. I probably won't see your response, but it's nice to hear you've come around.
they still make me giddy, like when i was a kid
I love clementines. They're so sweet and easy to peel and seedless.
He lives on my block, he drives an iroc.
he brings a gun to school
what? ummm not the next line. haha
yeah so what i thought we were just listing lines we liked
hey i still have my new pants i'm saving!
Just wear them. The only thing i can save is a formal dress for a wedding. I can't buy, like a pair of jeans for an event more than a week in the future. haha
they're super cool. Gina hooked it up, let me tell you.
I cleaned out my closet this weekend. I got so mad, frustrated, and angry at myself for not doing this sooner. I threw out over 100 hangers that were in there for no reason. I organized my clothes (suits together, pants, etc) and took out all my summer clothes (polos, tee shirts, etc). I even threw out a shirt I've had from the GAP since 8th grade that I loved and wore all the time.
Gotta move on with life. I found some new clothes that still had the tags on for like 5 years, that's why I bring this all up. I gotta wear them.
No way! i cleaned out my closet too, last night. I do this once every 3 months probably, and i always have a huge box of stuff to give to people or goodwill. One thing i don't think i'll ever give up is all my old band t-shirts, even though i never wear them.
some of mine i'm embarrassed to wear (ok, matchbox twenty ones).
I have a Save Ferris one that I've worn one time. It's beautiful.
i also have a Jay Karas Band that says on the back "Snack Night at the Bookstudy Rules!"
hahaha thats awesome. you should wear that regularly. although whats with this NY lingo...it's "goodie night."
actually, he's from NJ, and I'm from NY, and we do call it goodie night. BAM. haha
well the karas's are from NY, and they made the shirt! double BAM!
Stop saying "oh snap"!
word?
No 'word' either. haha
are you talking about ones you got at my store? WOOT
what song is this? it sounds familiar
wheatus-teenage dirtbag
HAHA I LUV THAT SONG! Sometime I walk around singing it, completely unprovoked =P
the song was good about 5 years ago. the high pitched part was cool til he went even MORE high pitched to do the girl part:
"i got two tickets to iron maiden, baby. come with me friday don't say maybe. i'm just a teenaged dirtbag, baby, like you. errrr yaaaa, dirtbaaaaagg."
that's when i snap the song off.
hey how was the indian restaurant you guys went to? did your husband hate it?
actually, both couples we had plans with bailed, so we did too. But with promises that we all would try it together, so when we go i'll let you know.
but on the topic of strange food, we were in DC this weekend, and went to this restaurant called Cafe Atlantico and we had some of the strangest foods ever. It was tapas style and we tried 14 dishes all together from raw oyster w/ mango to raw tuna ceviche, conch fritters, caviar with potato foam, duck, quinoa. really really interesting stuff. overall, it was an usual and good experiance but we'd never eat some of this stuff again.
i found the menu online....
caviar w/potato foam? WOW....how was that?
the potato part was really good, neither of us cared for the caviar. I wonder sometimes if people REALLY like this stuff or they're just trying to be sophisticated. haha
its weird but there are peeps who actually LOVE it. one of my old friends growing up, her dad LOVED caviar....always had it around the house. it was nasty to me.
last night was actually my first time driving in manhattan. love the madness which of course I contributed to by running a red light. ha yeah that i feel guilty about.
Really? Wow. It sucks driving thru there anyway. I won't do it anymore.
Alright, guys, I'm off for Paris. See you on the 27th! I might check in and see how things are going during the week, so be good. I'll know if you're bad. :P
Ok Alex, lets be trouble makers. hehe... ;o)
awesome!! post pics when you get back!!!
I suppose you left already, but that's awesome! Have fun!
