Where's the Snow?!?!

Whats the deal with this winter so far?! Those of us who board or ski are getting PRETTY fed up with the apparent lack of snow. Along it DOES seem that out west they are getting dumped on by snow. I figured on this winter being a GREAT winter for boarding and being that this was the first time i actually BOUGHT a season pass, i wanna USE it!
Well I was bored at work today, so I checked up on some weather predictions for this winter. And who better to go to then the good ole' farmers almanac! Here is what they say about the upcoming winter.

begin early, with significant snows possible for the northern states
during late November 2001. We also expect another very active winter
weather pattern, especially in the Northeast. For there, we predict a few
heavy snowstorms and even a near-blizzard (in the second week of

Pacific Northwest, but the area from the Plains to the Great Lakes will be

Sounds kinda vague doesnt it? Well, I looked at the Northeast area of the country and it sounded a little more encouraging.
December 2001
1st-3rd. Clearing skies, cold.
4th-7th. Fair, snow
flurries, then clearing skies.
8th-11th. Mostly fair and cold.
12th-15th. Heavy snow for much of the region; lighter snowfall
Mid-Atlantic States, then fair and cold everywhere.
16th-19th.
Mostly fair, cold.
20th-23rd. Light snow spreads across New York
area and points northward, then fair.
24th-27th. This could turn
out to be a white Christmas for some: heavy snow (8" to 12") spreads
across New England; cold rain for Virginia, Maryland and a wintry mix for
those places in between.
28th-31st. Fair and cold.
January 2002
1st-3rd. Unsettled;
showers Mid-Atlantic region, then fair, cold.
4th-7th. Colder
Virginia to Maine.
8th-11th. Stormy, heavy snow (4"-8"),
especially for New England, then clearing.
12th-15th. Mostly fair
skies.
16th-19th. Wet, then turning fair, cold.
20th-23rd.
More heavy snow New England, lighter amounts farther south.
24th-27th. Cold conditions.
28th-31st. Some snow, then
clearing and colder.
So what do you guys think? Do you think we are gonna have to
'batten down the hatches, cause its gonna be a real
gullywasher'?!

Today and tomorrow are the 2 coldest days for this week, after this its supposed to reach up to the 70's again for this week...this sucks

AMEN.. i want a BIG BIG BIG BIG storm... so that we all get stuck at mountain creek for some reason with all of our snowboarding equipment... somehow.. hahha
and the food is all free there and we dont have to pay for the life tickets...man what a wish!!

I drove to mountain creek last year when we we had the blizzard. haha, like 2 feet of powder at mountain creek, it was so much fun, but flatness and powder don't mix that good, but it was still cool
Im still trying to figure out how they call it Mountian creek. Its not a mountain, its just a really big hill. That has to be the flattest ski resort in the world. Some trails are so flat they actually start to go on a increase in height instead of decrease!
and i got a season pass this year.. i can't believe i can't even use it yet.. i'm mad dude.. mad
i wonder if it is.... i'm not sure if i believe in global warming, really, but if it's true, this could certainly be an effect of it.
It's not the global warming's fault it's so warm out. It's the stinkin' jetstream. I hate that thing. it's such a jerk, 'cause it's not changing and it's leaving a high pressure system around the east coast, and it's not allowing the cold air to come through. That's why we're so warm and the west is getting tons of snow.
Skiers and riders in Whistler will remember December 1st as POWDER day. In the last 48 hours 2.7 feet (81 cm ) of snow has dumped in Whistler and it continues to snow!

wow, that's awesome. i remember getting a ton of snow here in jersey. my dad went onto the roof to shovel, and when he was done, he just jumped off into the snow. but he got stuck up to his waist and we had to dig him out hahaha
yea i did that too one time, we shovelled off our ENTIRE roof, and then we slid off and landed on the big pile.. it was SOO much fun. We shovelled off the roof of the KH too.. and bert pushed me off with my suit on, my mom was SOOO when she brought it to the dry cleaners and they said it would never be the same... haha
The blizzard we had years ago, not in 96 me and my cousins built an igloo out of snow with like tunnels and everything....it was great until it collapsed on my cousin and she started crying like a baby...what a wimp, but I LOVE SNOW!
i got stuck in NYC for that blizzard - we couldnt get home for like a week - it would've been awesome but id broken my collar bone skiing a few weeks earlier :-(

Im allergic to all cold things: snow, ice sleet. especialy sleet. Sometimes when i have a cold drink i break out in hives and have seisures and convulsions.

that's what i thought too. but ben affleck's brother is funnier. he was in "drowning mona" and most recently in "ocean's 11", he was one of the 2 brothers, the one who had the remote control car.
