Rain Rain
I hope it stops raining soon, this is getting old. It's supposed to be nice for the next few days, but then I have a feeling next week is going to be crappy with that tropical storm/hurricane on its way up here.
In other news, my brother gets married on monday!

Why does my 1992 Crystler LeBaron Convertible keep flooding on the driver's side floor?
We can't figure out how the water is getting in (my dad cleaned out the gutter thingies along the windshield) but every time it rains hard I open my door to a swimming pool.
Our convertible leaks because of a slight crack in the windsheild. A good test to figure out where the water is coming from: Sprinkle your roof with baby powder and watch where the channel forms.
I will try this! My dad and Ben tried sitting in the car while the other sprayed it with the hose yesterday but didn't get any results.
Hahaha - a leak ususally results when water is built up in the channels, so it's not instant. If you have a hairline windshield crack or even a little rust, it'll cause a leak.
I found a page listing the problem areas for leaks... oh my. Maybe an alternate plan would be to put some hole in your floor boards to let the water out. :-)
Lower part of the page...
Hmm..thanks! This gives me someplace to start at least. Stupid car.
We've been using buckets but a hole just may work better.
ehh, you don't want a hole in your floor in NJ - the warmth and then cold will rust it really quickly, then you've got a bigger problem on your hands. The quick solution would be to get a waterproof tarp to put on the roof.
What about laying down a old gor-tex jacket with a series of small holes... ala Geox http://www.geox.com/english/dx_patent.htm
Ah forget about the whole thing... what about This!
Buying a new car would solve my problems! I think..I may have to wait a little while though. And I'd have to get a toyota because my boyfriend is a mechanic for Lexus (which are made by toyota).
I wish I could be described half as well as this car...

The Lexus SC 430 can be described as a convertible, hardtop , desireable, passionate, sensual, seductive, functional, artistic, and cool.
Ben calls that an expensive rattle. It's one of the loudest cars with tons of problems and I'm forbidden from getting it. Soo cute though!
upon seeing this again i've decided that this is a funny visual.
this is so annoying, it's the last week of summer, i'm finally like 99% caught up with work, annnnndddddd.... the weather stinks
perfect
summer doesn't end until September 23rd or something! why you gotta ruin the party early??
yeah, i know. this weekend is gonna be dedicated to service and beach. the weather better cooperate.
meh, i checked the 5 day forecast and it's supposed to rain. *sigh*
can't have anything nice
Ah, they're never right 5 days out. Where were you planning on going to the beach?
My town. Island Beach State Park.
? YOU PAY to go to the beach? Wha?
http://www.state.nj.us/dep/parksandforests/parks/island.html
Usually, yeah.
dude, there is nowhwere in nj where you can go to the beach for free. unless you catch the beaches on their free day such as wed, or thurs. usually. it's crazy. but the state parks you only pay like 8$ per car instead of $10 per person.
there are a few public free beaches (usually only locals know or go) but they have no lifeguards
Is that unusual? You usually have to pay at least to park where we go in CA.
Yeah.. I guess I am used to a socialistic society up here.. 'we' own the land and its free. We do pay for parking in the 'city' beaches but that is about it. (Camping in parks are a different story... blood sucking leaches)
Just curious is it like an amusement park with turnstiles, hand stamping... it would just be so odd.
'your' use of 'quotes' is 'interesting'
oh, unless your talking about 'city' beaches... this is what I mean by a city beach...
http://www.city.vancouver.bc.ca/parks/rec/beaches/english.htm
But somehow I think your thinking about the 'we'. SO =P
commie
this rule isn't countrywide. In Maryland the beaches are free and I'm pretty sure the same is true for Delaware.
hawaii too all free beaches, you can even go on the beaches that are on hotel property since all beaches are public
jsut dont surf in w/the locals or you'll get a beat down! LOL
thats why you have friends who marry locals and go with them :) It was funny me and my other friend who i visited, that lives there is white and we went in all the hotel pools no problems, but his friends who are hawaiian get kicked out before they even put their towels on the chairs.
this is true. i fit in with the locals so i had no probs PLUS i have my friends who live in makaha, and my ex lived on the island too. so i had NO problems.. i would see the locals (haoles) get busted just getting in the water or wherever. LOL
we only have to pay to park if you dont find anything in the neighborhoods etc but the beach is free. i was shocked to learn you guys had to pay to go to the brach.
ANOTHER reason to move to SoCal...we have awesome weather about 90% of the time....and we have Wahoo's ANNNNNNNNNND in n out burgers.....and palm trees....LOL
But as I've been being reminded of for the past week, we don't have nearly as good food out in CA. We have a couple of things like the ones you mentioned, but there is just so much more good food out here.
the only godo food i find out there is italian....no mexican...and nothing compares to in n out....LOL
Yeah, there's not really much Mexican food out here. But the Italian does make up for it. And I grew up out here, so there's the nostalgia factor. I'm gonna be really bummed out when I have to go back.
Haha. I just did a search on Mexican restaurants around my aunt and uncle's place here on yp.yahoo.com, and it came up with 5 places within a 10 mile radius. The same search around my place in Hayward comes up with 135. Granted its a little more densely populated in Hayward, but still...
Hey, we've got Surf Taco! http://www.surftaco.com/ This joint has really good shore grub. There's a little shabby place like 3 minutes away from me called El Familiar. Amazing Colombian/Mexican food. It seems Mexican food in NY is kinda lacking. Jersey's got it on lock.
NICE! surf taco is kinda like our wahoos.
I don't like surf taco. Last few times i have been there the food hasn't been good. It's like cheap food or something. Have you been to Fins in Belmar? Same Idea but i think the food is so much better.
Fins is awesome! I agree. I wish Fins was closer tho. I still LOVE Surf Taco.
We ride our bike to fins, I love it! haha. MAN now talking about mexican I REALLY want it except i have no vehicle and i can't take my bike that far right now i have to much to do.
do they have fish tacos? I want wahoo's fish tacos
check the menu, foolio! jk
their specialty is the surf taco. a delicious fish taco.
o i didn't go to the site hahaha
is it good.. i might have to try it out
do it, do it
you just don't know where to go.
we have a really good mexican place by us but they don't have fish tacos
and MY sister gets married to iwz's brother! That makes us.... almost family....just like we were before.
from now on . . . we call you -- Gameboy Lite
