How's Mikayla doing Ian?
She's getting better every day. Still in her cast which she is getting very sick of. But, she's better off with it because her leg is still in a lot of pain. Comes and goes, though. She's sleeping right now.
The congregation has been a huge help, too. We've gotten meals and cards and gifts and flowers. Definitely makes a big difference :)
She should get the cast off in a week. That should really help her out. We'll see!
Is she taking Percoset? Even with that I felt the pain. To this day I sleep with a pillow under that leg. That's what I had to do back then to be somewhat comfy. Now it's a habit.

Percocet made her real nauseous. Vicodin made her have panic attacks. So she's on Darvocet right now, and she is only taking it at night. Just Ibuprofen during the day now. She usually ends up sleeping a lot during the day.

You could roast some veggies for your lady; it's super easy: Slice eggplant, squash, carrots and any other veggies she likes, put them on a cookie sheet, toss with olive oil and a little thyme (either crushed in your hand or chopped if fresh) and roast at 450 for about 45 minutes, or until tender. I'm glad that my professors have all absolutely terrified me by going on and on about how hard teaching is. It's a little late to scare us all now, jerks, we're just finishing up the program.
So last night was our 2 year anniversary. we went to a Moroccon restaurant called Sahara. It was sooooo rockin. we both had the "Sahara Feast" a five course meal. And everything from the hummus to the baklava (on the house for our anniversary) was amaaaazing. And the decor was so nice. We sat on low padded benches with tons of throw pillows. For those of you somewhat close...it's in Mechanicsburg. And, the Sahara Feast was only $23 per person. Which i thought was really reasonable for all the food you got. Fun fun. i love trying new things.

This is so messed up. We've got a client who has a cognitive impairment. I'm going through the asset info his brother gave me to figure out a settlement, and a couple months before the couple separated, his then wife sold like $200,000 worth of his inherited assets. and sooo many thoughts went through my head between feeling the hit, and getting out of the car and looking at my car
i was sooo shaken up!
fortunately, it was just a tap and there was absolutely no damage so i didn't care and the kid apologized and we were on our way.. and that's my story of today
