End of an Era Thread iwz had just posted a news article called "New Name" asking everyone to vote on renaming the site. redsweater.net was winning. so he started this musings thread — "'nuff said." flomojopoanode's first comment: "is redsweater really a 3.0 beta?" a week later hunkpapap: "if you want to destroy my redsweater..." they never actually left.
'Nuff said.

Page 10 of 10last night i was playing some mario party 8 with my friend beans. I am incredibly competitive so i put us on the same team. we got put on a boat where we had to each row the wii-mote at the same time, but only one of us rowed if we need to steer. it was cool and took us 5 tries to get it down
Yeah so.. why does this happen?!??!!? We are going away for the convention.. and I'm like freaking out about leaving my animals. I do this for other people all the time.. i KNOW the animals are going to be fine, I know they don't even remember that they were left alone the moment you come home - but yet I am leaving like a ridiculous amount of instructions for the dog walker. Ugh. I'm so annoying right now I'm one of THOSE people!!! haha
does anyone else have polictal ads to the right?
I was trying to figure out why they were there, which threads/words would of pulled them in -- i'm guessing its the thread about liars :-)
heheh.... that made me laugh.
we're seriously going to get one soon in OC: *its making its way down the SoCal faultline:
--An earthquake rattled the Los Angeles area early Thursday, according to a preliminary report from the U.S. Geological Survey.
The magnitude 4.5 earthquake struck just before 1 a.m. about 4 miles from Chatsworth. Three small aftershocks followed the quake, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
A magnitude-1.6 temblor struck at 1:14 a.m., one of the same magnitude at 1:49 a.m., and one measuring 1.8 at 2:49 a.m. -- all within three miles of the initial quake's epicenter, according to the USGS.
The quick jolt was felt by residents across Los Angeles County and knocked items off shelves and walls in some homes. One man told a radio station that his home-office had been "thrashed."
Shaking was reported from as far away as Marina Del Rey, Lancaster, downtown Los Angeles, Simi Valley and Oxnard.
la la la la la la I can't hear you la la la la
sweet maybe there will be one when we're there. I wanna feel one. Yeah.
while we're at the chateau marmont!!! lol
you know what grosses me out....the sound of someone clipping their nails.
So what do you do? Let yours grow into Wolverine claws?
hahahaha NO. i file em. or when i get them done the girl will file em.
a sister in my hall used to do that during the meetings and i wanted to beat her with my bookbag
ewww one sister did that a while back during meeting and i shot her this look that i think was pretty nasty cause she looked like she wanted to cry. BUT it got her to stop. lol
You wicked person!!
hahaha im like the chillest person, but im latina, you annoy, the fiery side comes out.
Yes, chiqita bananas like yourself are well known for having fiery sides. ;oP
oh yeah totally....its in the blood. lol
they are also known to not know how to drive... i just need a "Supastar ONLY highway"...
that would make me happy... or a helicopter.
Yeah this bothers me too, a big fella at my old place used to always clip his nails at work... And because I never watched him I was always wondering just where those clippings were going... eww
YEAH that grosses me out too. BLECK
You know you're getting old when after 2 months, a sprained ankle still causes some discomfort and a surgically repaired knee stiffens up after playing basketball days later.
I mean the knee is stiff days later after playing bball.
haha oh beleive me, i know what you're talking about! LOL when i was younger im like NO WAY that wont happen, well i fell on my knee about 3 months ago and yeah i still get pain. getting older BITES!!!
I remember when I was 17 or 18, I'd go to the basketball court, sprain an ankle, and be back on it playing like 2 weeks later. Now... Forget it. I had to where a brace last week and could barely walk the next day. haha
you have to learn to play with the pain. pain is just fear leaving your body.
if i didnt grow up with you, i would have taken this as profound...
buuuuuut... naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. didja read that on wiki?
you face is profound...profoundly ugly! oooohhhh!!!
lol niiiiiiiiice
I play through pain, just hurt later.
yeah so i went to home depot to get a key made and i saw the greatest thing ever
they have keys with designs on them that are real metal keys
anyway so my house key is now a SUPERMAN key
yeaaaaaaah no more "which key is the house key fumble fumble bumble"
AH HERE IT IS IT IS THE HUGE BLUE KEY WITH THE SUPERMAN SYMBOL

sweet, i now know which key is your house key.
/takes notes
hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
OMG i want one!!!
lauren has the superman key, she's had it for a while. that key is HUGE, it's hilarious. and it's heavy too
i never understand why people have so many keys. i have 3-my car, front door and basement door.
i have 4 and one of them is to your mom's house!
niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice
that was good right? i win!
i actualy have a separate key chain just for my dog-walking clients. When I carry that thing around I look like a janitor.
Let's see, I have:
Keys:
My car
My wife's car
Apartment
Parent's house
Kingdom Hall
Other stuff:
My car's keyless entry
My wife's car's keyless entry
Gym keyless entry
2GB USB key
and 3 grocery store discount thingies
I think the only thing I could take off would be the USB key since I don't use it as much anymore.
i have one key, since my parents don't lock the house. the only other thing i have on my key ring other than my car key is a key chain and my gym membership thingeee. i would not be able to deal with having like a thousand things attatched to my key chain.
Oh yeah. I'm coming to clean out your room now.
I have:
Car Key
Remote Keyless thing
Mobile/Exxon Speedpass
Worlds Gym pass
Dicks Sporting Goods thing
House Key
Bottle Opener
Citi Credit Card Pay Pass thing
Striding Man Society Key Chain
Burton Key Chain
Other Set I leave in car:
KH Key
Bottle Opener
The key to the thing that locks your steering wheel in place.
A USB key? LOL!!! You dork.
I have.. my car key, house key, my parents house key, shed key, bike lock key, and like a couple keychains, grocery store things, bottle opener, and the house key was always like the smallest key.. soo... now it's the biggest and easiest to find!
okay, on my key rings, i have a change purse thats connected, my bottom door key, my top door key, and our dead bolt lock key, my toyota key, my caddy key, my caddy trunk key, my mom's house key, kingdom hall key, sarah's outside key, sarah's inside key, and adam's parents key. OH and i have the caddy's lock/unlock button thing that needs a new battery.
haha "caddy key" i thought you said CHUBBY key.
lol chubby key for a chubby girl.
you are not chubby! ANNND you work at starbucks right? i have a question...why cant you get a decaf caramel frap lite?
YES YOU CAN! holy crap thats one of my biggest pet peeves at stores that dont make them. tell them..."dont you have a just say yes policy?" THEY HAVE TO MAKE IT IF YOU ASK THEM!!!
if they say that they cant just tell them to use the same base that they use for decaf frap & just add the lite frap instead. when they make the decaf base its enough for two pitchers of frappuccino, so they have it, theyre just lazy.
oh i forgot gym thingy shoprite thingy.
Goldfinger Pics

such a SICK show... omg.
i'm in love with john feldmann. Austin know it, he's cool with it. (He loves Scarlett J.) exceeeeeeeept, i've met john like 10 times. haha
are you referring to the time you left me to go meet him? yeah...
haha, i did? when at irving?
um no... you and tina went to a private show and left me.... and i cried.
umm, we never had a private show...but we have gotten to meet him a couple times...like we stood side-stage at a show, or just waited til the end and met them....
you are short haired LIAR! i remember jahanna calling me like a WHILE ago and telling me you both were going to some like small venue and you got to meet john and the band and everything....
ummm not so much.
that was deanna.
hmmm i remember it jahanna saying you guys buuut anyways, i was so jealous. lol.
we went to carson daly...is that what youre thinking of?
other than that....birch hill, irving...and convention center is all i ever saw them at.
one night i didnt go to the reaaaaaaaaaaaaally small venue they played in LI. i really wish i would have gone, but i didnt deanna did, and they met them afterwards.
oh yeah... that must be it... im getting old, my memory is gone.
hahaha, i HATED you that night. (not really, i love you) but you were in LI. and you're like, NO i have to stay out in service until 10pm. i'm all about service but come on, you could have left at 7. haha
yea, that show was amazing. there was MAYBE 25 people there. and me and deanna hung out in the parking lot with the band for like an hour after.
(btw, i kinda miss brian arthur, even though i like charlie.)
Hm, places i've seen Goldfinger
Asbury Park, NJ
Irving Plaza, NYC
Birch Hill, NJ
The Vanderbilt, LI
Times Square (Carson Daly)
Theatre of Living Arts, Philly
And that other venue in NJ that i can't remember (with Dan)
that was the night before tina's wedding, me and lauren and nick and jahanna went. as soon as the show ended and nick RAN to the spot where we could meet them and stole the sign that said "Meet Goldfinger here" so no one else could know how to meet them.
Then we had Goldfinger autograph the sign and i framed it. totally excellent. now it's in my computer room.
(that wasnt it) but that was a great show too. i still remember what i told lauren that weekend. I was like, this is the best weekend ever...Goldfinger, a wedding, and a puppy! haha
cuz, GF was Fri night, tina's wedding sat. and we got Atlas on sunday!!
so what venue did you see gf at?
HOB
oh man, you went to the benefit show? was it pretty much ALL about Kevin Jonas?
chris katen?
while we were skaten...
yeah... well they had this whole thing about him, he wrote a song and stuff...
they had videos of puppies getting punched playing in the background... if it wasnt so sad i woould have laughed cause it was just weird the way animal rights activists try to drum up support.
Where in california is that?
the one in disney.
rain on a parade: I don't like goldfinger live. Maybe it was just that one show that stunk so bad, but, they left a terrible taste. Not excited to see them again. I love some of their stuff, though. Red Balloons! Tons of songs from "hang ups". Great stuff in short bursts.
to kill bacteria in your kitchen sponge, soak it in water and put in the microwave for 2 minutes.
I was far too enthralled by the fact that I got a stain out of my enameled cast iron pot (that the dish washer didn't get out) by soaking a baking soda paste in it overnight then simmering it with more water. It was a terrible triumph.
haha, nice. i have yet to get the mold out of my wooden cutting board. i even bleached it so i know the spores are gone, but the stain is gone.
i put it away wet one time with something on top of it. stupid.
I don't know if you can get that out. I'm moving over to bamboo cutting boards because they're more mold resistant. You can't put them in the dishwasher and you have to mineral oil them occasionally, but they stay cleaner.
How sad:
hahahaha ewww....and wow.
2.5 more hours. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
this is totally interesting:
he Cheapest Days to Buy Certain Items
by Kelli B. Grant
Friday, July 13, 2007
Another day, another deal.
Thanks to online coupons, price-comparison search engines and reward memberships, savvy shoppers can pay less than full price on any day that ends in "y." But depending on what you're planning to buy, some days of the week may yield better bargains than others.
We talked to the experts, and narrowed down the best days of the week to buy certain items.
Airplane Tickets
When to Buy: Wednesday morning.
Why: "Most airfare sales are thrown out there on the weekend," says travel expert Peter Greenberg, a.k.a. The Travel Detective. Other airlines then jump into the game, discounting their own fares and prompting further changes by the first airline. The fares reach their lowest prices late Tuesday or early Wednesday.
Books
When to Buy: Thursday.
Why: Price compare between major chains Borders and Barnes & Noble. The former releases its weekly sales and coupons on every Thursday; the latter, every Tuesday.
Cars
When to Buy: Monday.
Why: "Car dealers live for the weekend, which is when they make most of their sales," says Phil Reed, consumer advice editor for Edmunds.com. "On Mondays, the low foot traffic makes it seem like the weekend will never come." That dealer desperation, paired with fewer consumers on the lot, give you more negotiating power.
Clothing
When to Buy: Thursday evening.
Why: That's the day when stores stock their shelves for the weekend, and when many retailers - including Ann Taylor, Banana Republic and Express - start their weekend promotions, says Kathryn Finney, author of "How to Be a Budget Fashionista." You'll find great prices and the best selection. "It's an effort to get people to shop in the middle of the week," she says.
Department-Store Wares
When to Buy: Saturday evening.
Why: Department stores have a lot to mark down for their Sunday circulars, so they frequently start the process on Saturday evenings before store closing, says Finney. "They're preparing for the big rush," she says. Bonus: Even if the markdowns haven't been made, many employees will honor the sale price if you ask. Print out the circular preview from the store's web site, and bring it with you when you head to the mall.
Dinner Out
When to Buy: Tuesday.
Why: Most restaurants do not receive food deliveries over the weekend. "Sunday is the garbage-can day of the week," says Kate Krader, senior editor at Food & Wine magazine. "No doubt, they're cleaning out their fridges. Tuesdays, they're starting fresh." Dining out on that day offers the best odds you'll get a meal worth paying for, no matter your price point, she says.
Entertainment
When to Buy: Wednesday.
Why: Plenty of movie theaters, amusement parks and museums offer extra discounts to consumers who visit midweek. Six Flags theme parks offer a $12 discount to AAA members - three times its usual discount of $4. AMC Theatres offers members in its free AMC Movie Watcher reward program a free small popcorn on Wednesdays. (This summer, it's also the day select theaters offer free Summer Movie Camp screenings.)
Gas
When to Buy: Thursday, before 10 a.m.
Why: The price of oil isn't the only factor influencing costs at your local pump. Consumer usage plays a role, too - and weekend demand is high, says Jason Toews, co-founder of GasBuddy.com, a price-monitoring site. Prices usually swing upward on Thursdays as travelers fuel up to head out the following day. By hitting the pump before 10 a.m. (when many station owners change their prices), you'll beat the rush and the price jump.
Groceries
When to Buy: Sunday - or Tuesday.
Why: Maximize savings by combining store sales, which run from Wednesday to Tuesday, with the latest round of coupons from your Sunday paper, says Mary Hunt, publisher of Debt-Proof Living, a money-saving newsletter. "It's a smart idea to wait until you have those in hand to match up with the week's sale items," she says.
To snag savings on items you don't need just yet, shop on Tuesday, advises Hunt. Chances are, the store will have run out of the sale items. "That means you can pick up rain checks, which allow you to buy those items later when you need them, and at the sale price," she says.
Hotel Rooms
When to Buy: Sunday.
Why: There are two kinds of hotel managers, and the kind that won't give you a discount on your room rate has Sundays off, says Greenberg. Call the hotel directly, and ask to speak with the manager on duty or the director of sales. These employees are open to negotiation, he says. They'd rather have a booked room at a discounted rate than an empty room. (The rest of the week, your call would get you a so-called revenue manager, who monitors profits - and is rarely willing to lower rates.)
i so did not know this about six flags. and i went there last week ....on a wed!!!! i coulda saved $12!! upsetting
ugh, maybe it's the gross humid air. i'm so irritable.
Gina Cheer up! YAY CHEERS
thanks love!!!!
So this is weird - I got a call from a staffing company who said they have a legal job I might be good for. Cool. The lady asked me to explain my computer skills and then my legal skills, so I did. I asked her about the job, and she proceeded to explain that it's for an engineering company who basically want someone to create and administer a database for the next month or so until they're finished with a large project. Ok, I mention I've done Access databases, and she schedules me for an interview tomorrow morning.
I called Donovan and told him about it, and he wondered if they wanted someone to do sql scripting. Now I wonder that too. Why would the woman tell me she has a legal job and then tell me it's for an engineering firm? I don't want to build myself up at the interview and then realize if I get the job that I have no idea how to do it. Very odd. And while I was on the phone with her, my toilet broke. :\
you were on the toilet while talking to her?
niiiiiice.
This humidity is messing with my allergies. I think someone has glued my eyes shut and then like..took a sledge hammer to my sinuses.
oh gosssssssh, i can't believe it's only 10:20. this day is dragging horribly.
I second that motion... Im dying here...
im in such a foul bitter mood today.
go shopping after work, and get a yummy treat, you wouldn't normally let yourself eat. chocolate and icecream makes everyone feel better. :)
you def know how to bring a girl back to "reality" lol
i think i will get myself a little treat...burger king has these amazing oreo cookie shakes...the best of both worlds!!
*thanks lady
wow, i got a small one of those... maaan, i could only finish half of it. it was good, but there was so much sugar. and i have a huge sweet tooth.
there was a huge clump of the oreo creme filling in there, too. wooow
yeah my friend linda and i split one about a week ago and OMG....PARTY IN YOUR MOUTH! soooo yummy
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDICULOUS
i was planning to take this afternoon off and go to the beach, finally, after working 24/7 for the past few weeks, and of course, it's disgusting out
OY!
remember my dream with the monty python armies and such? and I jump kicked a giraffe..
perhaps I have giraffobia.
http://www.giraffobia.com/index.htm
one thing i totally hate in this world are liars. i hate it when someone can look you in the eye and tell a lie to cover for what they do or have done.
that is my most hated thing too
isnt it annoying? like seriously. and then these peeps think that person is the sweetest person ever? but they dont know the underlying person. UGH SO annoying.
like they dont think they're not going to be found out....they eventually do.
at least you're smart enough to see through it. Some people are lied to for years before they figure it out.
oh i can see RIGHT through people when they are lying. you know....RIGHT THROUGH them.
i just feel sorry for the ones that dont and believe every single little lie they tell to cover up. some people are really good at making themselves look so sweet and innocent....let me tell you.
some people get away with it for years and years unfortunately.. sometimes i wonder if some people will ever be found out..
oh, they will be. i've seen some stuff go on for YEARS, and you think they'll always get away with it, but then, BAM! found out.
A while back i posted about this couple that we used to hang out with that would always be so self-righteous around us, like "look at us, we're auxillary pioneering, i'm an attendant, blah blah blah" (And i never rub stuff like that in people's faces)
well....yea, they were only married for 6 months and are now divorced and both are DFed.
I mean, of course it's a sad situation, but it just goes to show all the showing off and lying gets you no where, and you WILL eventually be accountable.
it doesnt seem like it, but they eventually will be found out. they leave little trails. lying is exhausting ya know. so they eventually slip here and there and the biggest....jehovah doesn't let it go unnoticed.
Liars and selfish people... people who use other people to get what they want and they deny that they do it, but its so visibile to the people who actually see whats going on...
but sometimes they make themselves seem so innocent, even running to the elders w/certain issues to cover their own lies up to make it look bad on others. making themselves seem so sweet an innocent in front of the elders and others. THAT aggrivates me. i mean i know they'll be made known, in a big way, jehovah has his time. but i want it to be known NOW!!! i want this chick exposed! LOL
*yes im impatient! lol
Just be patient Gina... everyone gets exposed eventually, all you can really do is keep yourself going strong and inform anyone who may be misled by this persons lies...
i know i am def prayng for patience. thanks so much for your kind words.
is she in your hall? the worst is when you've got beef with someone who is and then you pretend to others that everything's fine but really you're just trying not to cry (or fantasizing about running them over with your car). lol. Hope things work out for you asap!
why would you need to pretend? thats almost like lying yourself.
While lying is wrong, we should still try to be peaceable, and sometimes that requires a lot of self-control. We wouldn't want to NOT hold back, just because we feel we aren't being honest about how we feel. We should hold back, we should restrain ourselves if we are mad or annoyed with someone, and pray for self control, and try to resolve the problem according to the way that we've been taught to do so. (preachy, sorry. I just didn't like the vibe I got from this comment)
think about it, if you dont have the guts to tell this person you cant "pretend" to be nice to them face to face. what does the bible say, you must confront. jehovah hates a hypocrite, right?
im not talking about being rude, or making it known we have a beef w/this person. as with everything we are peaceable to all. BUT that doesnt mean it gives us the right to be a hypocrite and be nice to the person and "pretend" and then once their back is turned we act like the world and talk about them.
you're talking about them right now.
not at all. i was venting about a situation. nothing else. and im not "pretending" to be nice to this person. im not all nicey nice to their face and talking about them behind their back.
there is a difference. venting and gossiping. TOTALLY different.
I wouldn't say you are gossiping anyway. The person has remained anonymous.
thank you. and YES this is a particular situation. this has happened NUMEROUS times from different people. lying is part of this sick world...it'll always be around us until this system ends. we all have dealt w/someone like this.
Yup, and it's sad when peeps in the truth do it.
and thats what i was venting about. i cant stand it.
Hey Alex... Make yourself useful and get me lunch since you work nearby. haha... I'm working at home.
What happened to my lunch?
Aww... Katie needs a hug. Group hug everyone!
awwww!!! :)
I can really relate, but it eventually comes out...they'll reap what they sow.
But sometimes you feel like being the one holding the sickle. LOL!
I say tar and feather them...
haha draw and quarter
rip off the eyelids and stare at the sun
shoot regular Borgata rooms are more than the Chateau
I really want to stay one night at Chateau Marmont
and one night at Beverly Hills Hotel
i think my life would be complete at that point, and i could die in peace
what about the ice hotel from the awake magazine??
eh. me no likey the cold.
OOOOOO i want to stay there too! HMMMM....
yeah it's $350 a night for a regular room at Chateau. But they do have rooms available!!! haha. It would be sweet.
yeah i think i'd rather spend that on other stuff though. Kinda ridiculous for a place to sleep. It's not like the room is going to feed me and clothe me for free. or anything. LOL.
ok so i have a friend who's from NJ but visiting from switzerland where he lives now, we've supposed to hang out but i'm not sure what to do. Also he's 7. what would be some good activities? i think discovery zone has closed.
Where's specialk when you need her?
Liberty science center is cool, if you want to go out there. Also the brooklyn children's museum is fun.
Nintendo World!
what is nintendo world?
it's a nintendo store at rockefeller
oh man i see soo coool
I <3 Swiss.
Bronx Zoo? It's a little hot for that, though. Ice skating rink still open at the four story mall in Nyack? That might be cool, and I think kids like that there are rides inside the mall there.
I'm trying to think of cool things but man...everything they have there is 10x cooler than here.
Water park?
When Ben's niece and nephew were here we went to one of those pottery painting places (where you paint a piece of pottery and then they fire it for you) which they thought was the best thing ever.
actually the pottery thing was exactly lauren's idea. we may end up doing that. there's one in Ridgewood.
i know this has been asked a GAZILLION times but..
as far as plane tickets
i checked the pricing on orbitz, travelocity and expedia and they are all the same
is there something that is lower than those? my only requirements are i want to be able to pick a departure time and nonstop flights only.
airfarewatchdog.com
my new fav. site. but be careful because a lot of them don't include the taxes.
also, jetblue.com and southwest.com
oh wow.. 150 bucks cheaper than orbitz. ha maybe i should check differnet airports on orbitz though. i only checked Newark cuz it's the most convenient (close to mom and dad's house lol)
www.farecast.com makes it pretty easy to compare prices from nearby airports
try to fly into long each too....thats usually cheaper OR ontario airport.
ONTARIO!! i don't want to go to Canadia!! hahahaahaha
HAHAHAHAHA not canada silly
ontario? isn't that like flying into toronto to drive down to georgia?
oh wait, lol.. it's ontario CALIFORNIA. only like an hour drive
HAHA ontario is in NINE OH NINE. BUT its easy access....and not crowded and its only half hour from OC or half hour from LA
have you guys ever noticed that people of different age groups have different hand writing. like, people my age and under have like bubble-like writing. and people that are older always have like, more sophisticated sort of cursive writing? (mostly women, i'm talking about)
ever type something out, and realize you only make sense to yourself?
cursive is dying. i'm surprised they even teach it anymore. typing is edging on being a more important skill than writing, these days.
my point: handwriting is for the birds
actually, that's not true, you need to have good handwriting to take notes at the district convention. You need to be able to read those notes later when your hall has a part on the meeting about the previous convention.
I think sometimes "why can't we just have laptops at the convention so I can type all this" and then i realize that would just be a ridiculous, absolute nightmare of epic proportions
at our convention people sat up in the sky boxes and typed on their laptops. it seemed a little weird to me, but I think our CO even had his laptop out, I figured that was for something important.
Then again those might have been brothers with assignments.
what about taking notes on a palm in short hand?
that's way, WAY too much work. have you ever used Graffiti extensively? it's hard enough just doing it for names
Donovan does that, mainly because he doodles if he's got paper. :) But he only writes down like 10 sentences of main points for each talk and I look up the scriptures for him. Plus he always compares his notes to mine when we have the review talk, because he writes so sparsely. His palm also uses graffitti 2, which is more like everyday characters.
I'd think it would be distracting to everyone else around to take notes that way - they were probably working on something. Plus, having taken notes of work-relating and RBC meetings, if you're typing what someone's saying, you really can't get the point. I type like 80 wpm and I was getting frustrated trying to keep up.
i hate note taking, but if i could have a laptop i def could keep up... thats easy.
i never use capitol letters when i type. i just don't see the point. and graphically speaking, lower case letters are way cooler.
i meant to say "when i write." i never use caps when i am writing, period.
you never use correct spelling, either, i guess?
b/c i didn't use the correct form of the word capital? give me a break, zabel.
zabels brake for no one.
Zabels rule!
Stat from the Kingdom Ministry: In Guadeloupe, 1 out of every 56 people is a Witness. 1 out of every 22 people in the country attended the Memorial. That's like..one kid in every school classroom, so crazy and cool.
i would love to live in a place like that. baptize your 22 people - BAM! Done.
Did anyone have really awesome DJs for their wedding/party? My parents want to possibly have a 30th wedding anniversary party and I'm supposed to be on the lookout for a DJ.
honestly, we had an amazing wedding DJ. His name is Phil Valero 631-736-2921. He gave us a really good price since we got married in January (off season) and we gave him a huge tip because he was amazing.
I would think he'd travel out to jersey.
Yeah, I know the best DJ's - DJ Enzo and Trevor.... You wont be disappointed
And do DJs Enzo and Trevor have a number or maybe website I could check out or is this maybe I joke I'm not getting?
That sounds way bratty and I totally didn't mean for it too..
Yeah they do... haha sorry!
Trevor: 973-255-7155
DJ Enzo aka Vinny: 201-566-0905
I used a guy named Chris Vito, absolutely AWESOME, highly recommend him (expect around $800 - $900, depending). He actually just DJ'd my friend Steve's wedding back in May. His family are witnesses so he's completely understanding of various issues. He actually came up to me during my wedding to ask me if I thought anyone would have a problem with "Runaround Sue".
His number is 609-226-1588. He doesn't really do email.
yeah i did a wedding with him recently. He remembered you guys. I forgot to tell you! haha :) he was cool.
haha when we do our NYC shoot i might have him follow us around and play music
lol NICE
don't think i forgot about booking you buddy. we're away for like, half of sept. in california but the end of the month i have my first public talk. i guess sept. is a busy month
hey, cool! first public talk! when is it
sept. 30th. v.nervous
i know i know.. i've been super busy this summer and september is busy too. I don't have the time to book anything additional right now - from now till October - it's gonna be a little less busy in october and it'll be really nice in the city. I like that.
Awesome!! Thanks everyone, this is great! I <3 redsweater.net
yeah, trevor is awesome, but i don't know if he is going to do it anymore.
Who lied and said Weezer isn't together!?
New album: http://www.weezer.com/default.asp
I am absolutely obsessed with stores like Ross, TjMaxx, Marshalls. Yesterday, I got a pretty cami to sleep in, for $6, when I got home I saw the original tag by OnGossamer....$78 bucks. How cool is that? people spent $78 bucks on the same item i spent $6 on. Love it.
i love those stores and the discounts...w/o a doubt. the only reason i stay away...i hate digging through things. i like to walk up, see something on a rounder and grab it and try it on. when we have our sample sales here, everything is like $5 but you have to dig. i walk around and grab a coat or 2 and am over it.
see, that's whats so cool around here. i always tell people from NY that we have such great shopping here, because our discount stores are treated like department stores. They're extremely neat and organized, and we have a ton of them.
see they're not organized here. not at all. im flying out w/you to do some shopping there! LOL
yea, that's the same way it was in NY. They were so filthy and clothes on the floor and gross, i would never go in em.
seriously though! York, PA = shopping mecca! haha
I've gotten so many, ya know $180 BCBG sweaters for $20. French Connection, Michael Kors. Good stuff.
yeah even here, I hate going in those stores because it's not organized and it's mostly pretty ugly stuff .. like it's really been picked through
it seems like you guys get more of the better stuff out there
no fairz!
but hey maybe i can go shopping while I'm in Reading this weekend hahahhaa
WOW thats rad! LETS GO SHOPPING!!!!
i think century 21 is pretty organized
FYI, guys, I heard Jos. A Banks is running an awesome sale right now. I totally need a couple of suits, i'm going to go check it out later on today
OH yea, I LOVE LOVE LOVE century 21. we don't have one here. it's only in NY/NJ. but they have great stuff. (Maybe you should check them for suits, i saw some nice ones)
I love working from home. I wish I could do it everyday. So little stress.
Superhero, how was your rafting trip?! Ours was great but I don't think I've ever had so many bruises on my arms and legs at one time. One hour in at the calmest part we hit a rock and I go flying out. But what I can't get out of my head is Livy's reaction. Every time I think of her scream I can't stop laughing!! She was so worried for me so the rest of the time I managed to fall INTO the raft lol.
oh it was awesome. we went to upstate NY, near port Jervis. We actually spent most of the time floating in the river, more than being in the raft. Got some good pictures, and had a lot of fun. I was REALLY sore the next day though from rowing like a fiend.
Also lauren and I got all hives from the sunscreen we used or something... hurts kinda
does anyone have the Pulley CD called "Matters"?
i do. i will bring it to work tomorrow.
can you upload it to the ftp or project?
i feel so lost w/o my cell phone :(
have you guys been to Carmine's in the city ever? Awesome place. We always go and get a bunch of stuff to split, I've never paid more than $15 for dinner there. I called to get a reservation for my family to go, and they told me I could do a fixed price menu for $50 per person! I told them they were on drugs. I've been to weddings that cost that much!!

What're they like Harold's Pub in Parsipanny? That place has huge sandwiches. The portions are ridiculous.
yeah. exactly.
why is there a box on my screen as i scroll?
Does anyone use a showerhead filter that they like? The water quality in this town sucks, so we need one, but there's so many things to consider, I'm a little lost looking for a filter. I need help!
AMAZING show friday... omg
Interesting new thing bands are doing: pickRset. You pick the show and what you'd like to hear at it.
that's a GREAT idea! cuz a lot of bands that you've seen many times, play a lot of the same stuff and their more unpopular stuff never gets played live. good idea.
can i request a show? I'd like goldfinger at my next BBQ
ddue, just saw them friday... i havent had that much fun in a show in a LONG LONG time...
I didn't notice they were on tour. where did you see them?
Bad Religion is amazing. Discuss.
My sister (saw them for the first time) said that Greg Graffin looks like he's delivering a rally speech while he's singing.
i bought their new album the other day...i like it a lot. i love tracks number 4 and 7 the best so far. i think it's a pretty awesome album though.
lex... strung out... track 4... first 30 seconds reminds me of matt SOO much... like the notes his hitting, listen to it.
the new album?
si
Those are my two favorites off the CD (which has grown on me), Honest Goodbye (track 7) may just be one of my favorite songs by them ever; it was so awesome live.
They dedicated New Dark Ages (track four) to Texas at the show.
is redsweater really a 3.0 beta?
It should be just "beta"
It was fun while it lasted... hey at least we get to see your face all distorted and stiff on ezabel still...
I meant: "distorted and stuff" sorry cant edit it still
if you were a mod you could edit
giac totally campaigned for mod privileges at Matt's wedding. lol, i totally shot him down
Thanks Ian for letting that be known...
I'll pound on him for you tomorrow.
