No, I'm talking strictly about the MSN messenger or whatever it's officially called. I don't use hotmail. I looked, and there doesn't seem to be a way to do 1 mass search, like say from your email contacts from Gmail.. to see if they're using the MSN messenger. Know what I mean? It seems like you have to manually look up names, one by one.
How do you show names you want to see in the Google chat box in Gmail? I see names there that I don't chat & the names I want to see when there signed in...are hidden from the box ..

There's a trick to that...well not trick.. but
Just install the first thing... the IM program. Then click do not accept or decline or whatever language it uses there for all the things that follow, that it tries to trick you into installing. Yeh, it's filled with that junk.. but I was able to bypass it all, by decline the agreements for everything else.
Ian, it's a neat program..thanks ..but, I'm still faced with the same problem. How do I add Gmail friends that I want to see in GTalk? There's a friend that told me to talk to them in GTalk, and I have their email in my Gmail contacts..but the name doesn't show in my chat box.. I should be able to see the name, even if they're not signed in, or invisible..like I other names in the box.
Nevermind.. I finally worked it out. I don't think I ever did it that way.. weird

i went to a couple bbqs. hit the beach on saturday in long branch. ran into a buncha nice people. sunday was mellow. did some yard work and watched a movie.
lauren, nick, and i politely asked a family in our hall when we could rent out their ginormous backyard and pool ... they let us on Saturday, so we invited a few people (no need to go crazy, this was their first time EVER letting anyone use their backyard). We hooked up the iTunes to their speaker system, bought tons of steak from a ridiculous deal at Shop-Rite, asked my sister-in-law Brittany to make empanadas, and ate until we couldn't anymore.
Overall, a wonderful day.

2 of the guys from midtown. it's kind of intriguing... it's like pop punk meets club music. not sure if i like it or hate it yet...
i wouldn't listen to it in my spare time, but it's definitely cool and dance-able.
1. the 2nd midtown album is wonderful. i forget the name right now. i only liked a few tracks off the first one. i hated the 3rd one.
2. Youtube is (STILL) blocked at work. Yes, I could get around it - but it's not worth it. Also, remote desktop doesn't play video well.

handbrake is the one i've had the best results with.
Mike - it converts ("rips") the DVD to AVI, MKV, etc. It can pretty much convert any movie format (avi, iso, vob) to any other format. There's a setting in there for PSP I believe, which would be what you need. I rip DVDs we own to our Media Center PC to watch on my xbox with XBMC. I do this overnight, since it does take a while.
I suggest ANYDVD as most of the newer DVDs have a form of copy protection.
(Note - i'm just talking about movies you already own. I'm not telling you to steal movies.

as of last night, i now sleep with an oxygen mask. let me tell you that is not comfortable.
Why?
I have sleep apnea so my breathing stops throughout the night. The oxygen forces my airways to stay open so that can't happen.
I make noises if I sleep on my back
um if they're snore noises you might have apnea. it's very common in white males.
