I grew up on The Next Generation! I hated DS9, but liked Enterprise. Our current passion is Voyager. Yes, Mikayla is Star Trek nerd. ha!

she never was, really, until we started watching Enterprise a few years ago. She didn't really like it all that much. But then she got hooked on Voyager reruns somehow. She loves the borg, and 7 of 9. me too.

Yeah! Star Trek was really good. Definitely a fun movie!
OK, I have to say that I did not like this movie. And when I say the movie, I mean the plot and storyline. The black holes and time travel seemed more confusing that necessary, and too much like LOST. Remember when time travel movies were easy, and made sense (Back to the Future I and II)?
However, the casting was really, REALLY good. I felt like they spent more time casting than writing the script. Scotty was my favorite, followed by Bones, Sulu, Uhuru, Checkov, and Spock, in that order. I thought Kirk was the weak link out of everyone. And watching him get punched in every scene kind of got old.

yup. casting perfection. effects perfection. fight scenes were too shaky. too many glares and lens flares. i thought the plot was overly simplistic actually. they just quickly and craftily created an alternate time line so they can write new stories without having to worry about the original canon (some say that makes the new stories non-canonical). i thought it was very entertaining. aaand if it smells like lost... it's because LOST's producers had their hands ALL over it.

I recently been able to re-establish contact (like less than 2 days ago, in fact!) with a friend I hadn't been able to speak to for a time..recently learned that he was re-instated..and was given his new email from a brother that had it. And now we're back it touch! You don't know how happy that made me. And, here's someone that I hadn't even known that well, for that long of a time. And, I still really missed him a ton. So, don't loose hope that they can make their way back to Jehovah, now, while there is some time left.
I want to see 3 movies: Wolverine, the new Star Trek (I'm not even a ST fan, but I think this one looks really good), and the new Terminator movie (Terminator Salvation).
I might have plans for the first one, but the other two.... I don't know when they are, but I wanna go see em. WHO's WITH ME!?
