Haha... That was good.
bah! I hate Ticketmaster! Got my tickets to The Verve. But... I was trying to get the O2 Arena London tics for convienence. (Even tho, seeing them in Madchester would be awesome!) But Ticketmaster forgot to add the option for Overseas postage... and by the time they added it, it was sold out... within 10 minutes or less. I even was in the midst of calling them to order over the phone. So, after not be able to get Standing in O2 & the only thing up for offer at this point was Row Z! ... I decided to get a Standing ticket at their last night in Manchester. Thankfully, at least one show was still available after staying up this long waiting for the sale. I'm hoping I can swap Manchester for London with someone, otherwise, gonna be traveling up there. Either way it'll be unbelievably exciting. I see Manic Street Preachers on Wednesday, December 12 at Carling Brixton Academy in London & The Verve on Friday, December 21 (if I don't find a person to trade) at Central in Manchester.

Nah. I wouldn't say that. As unfortunate timing would have it... Royal Mail is on strike until October 10! Arrrrrgh! Besides concert tickets, I'm also awaiting on delivery of a jacket (Which I thought was coming from Germany since I ordered it from a German website but found out just now it's coming from Britain ... so gotta wait for Royal Mail to go back to WORK!)

One of my weaknesses, music is. As ironic as it seems, I'm tight with my money.. but you gotta live life once in a while don't you? But, I've been wanting to see friends that I haven't seen in almost 3 years tho anyway. Just wasn't planning on going until next year really. It's not gonna be like me hopping on a plane, pop by the depths of Brixton London to see a show then head up to Manchester to see a show & back to London for my flight back to the States. (Although originally I was kinda planning to just see The Verve & stay in London for 3 days, then head back Stateside) I'm gonna make a little vacation out of it, catch up with friends, stop by the old job, see some sights, and what have you.
Oh, well then I'd say its a pretty worthwhile trip.

argh i just realized i have like 5 sick days, 2 floating holidays, and 1.5 vacation days to use before the end of the year... but i never get sick and i want to go snowboarding ... my last job just lumped everything today into 15 days off, i've never had it broken down like this before.

i'm guessing you can't trade them in for pay. i would use two in a row twice. cuz if you call out sick 3 days in a row, usually they want a drs note. and let the fifth go the way of the birdie.

I was kinda playing it up like I'm just going there 'cause of a band ... actually, it happens that I've been itching to go back to the UK & recently got word that British Airways is running a special Flight/Hotel/Theatre package on 2 person roundtrip flights right now based on at least a 3 day stay. Which would work out pretty much perfectly. Only hitch really is that the BA package is based on 2 person travel. I am 1 person.

my friend linda (the one who almost died) was visiting her friends circuit assembly this past weekend. Anyway one of the brothers who was giving one of the talks, was on her liaison committee and gave her experience from the platform. she said she couldn't help but cry but was SO shocked that others in the audience were crying.
i reminded her that her putting jah first even in death, is DEF faith strengthening. i would've cried too if i would've heard that experience.

my brother in law benn was over with his friends (do any of you know benn?) and they're laughing at my old-school xbox ... my wife goes out, and benn starts doing all the things i'm not allowed to do - using the decorative kitchen towels, putting his mouth on the water jug from the fridge, and eating food without a plate (he made himself waffles and spilled syrup on the floor)
why was this the highlight? because as soon as Lauren got home I had a LIST of stuff her brother did, and she hit him. it was AWESOME.

i know this world is cruel and peeps are all about "me" but its so hard to not be SO angry and upset at some worldly actions. about 2 weeks ago a one of the warehouse workers (bout 28) was atop of the bins, way up top and fell. from what we heard he was ok and just cut his leg. so come the following Monday (last Monday) we find out he died. the most horrible news ever. we were all so bummed and we were told to not talk about it...NOT AT ALL. so of course we still did trying to figure out what went wrong.
some stories were he had a pre-existing condition (high blood pressure) that cause him to get sick and fall. anyway everything has been going around the rumor mill. so on wednesday, one of the security guards that i talk to (and witness too) came in to see how i was doing and we were talking about our co-worker that died. anyway he was w/the kid and told me the whole story. said our co-workers cut was deeper than what everyones talking about that you could see his bone and that he lost a lot of blood because it was at least an hour before anyone in our company tended to him. and by the time they finally sent him to the hospital, they didn't call an ambulance but called a cab. this poor kid was in pain, hurt and all the called was a cab. this KILLED me and i've been SO upset about it. i couldnt help but cry when i was told. its just SO horrible....he's human. but yet they treated him like a piece of worthless meat. UGH
