Now although my convention was the beginning of June, I didn't get to thoroughly enjoy certain portions of the Sunday program due to FNBS*.
Yesterday I had a second opportunity to check out the drama. I need to say how AMAZING the drama was and as an ADDED BONUS I knew almost EVERYONE in it! I took a lil' video and a lot of pics!

GREAT JOB!

Nice drama cast! I hope someone videotaped that.

I think Tammy C. did, I was thinking I'd ask her for a copy. If I get my hands on it I'll try and pass it along.

fivezero fivezeroOG 2003 ·

I taped the one at Turnersville last weekend. It was fun to do, but I felt weird doing it, even though I used my smallest camera and my smallest tripod.

originalsnob originalsnobOG 2004 ·

This years and last years are the first time in a while that I haven't filmed the drama.
I've found it less disruptive to nix the accessories, get comfy, and just stick the camera in front of my face. The sister I mentioned is heavy into videography/cinematography but, she opted to just film it freehand.

So I popped outside to get the mail a little while back and the door to my placed slammed shut behind me, needless to say it was super fun!
I have this one set of neighbors that always lounge outside so I asked them what we do if we get locked out.
Next thing I know, this dude picks my lock with a credit card. I've done the credit card lock picking before but, I was picking MY OWN lock back at home. Kind of awkward to know this dude could just pop in for a visit whenever he wants.

Haha only NOT =/

And what's wrong with 8.0??

New Song, maybe we'll get some audio or video of this up here soon -

"19"

So long going on, choosing not to feel
but a cold dose of reality has suddenly made this real
and it's not too cool
staring at a bloody pool
there's no going back now

no - they'll never get what they deserve
justice - will not be served
judgment - doesn't even feel worth it now

no explanation, no way to justify
no easy answer to a one word question - why?
and all that's left to see is a chair leg in an empty alley
my son, what have you done?

no - they'll never get what they deserve
justice - will not be served
judgment - doesn't even feel worth it now

Was it worth it,
Just to feel tough and important?
this isn't the playground anymore

no - they'll never get what they deserve
justice - will not be served
judgment - doesn't even feel worth it now

and their fathers have no wisdom,
they have no real hope to give them
and they'd all give anything for just one more minute with him
they have so many questions
they wonder - was it fate? or was it just wrong time, wrong place?

19 - what a waste.

iwz iwz ·

can you post some happy lyrics now? kthx

you guys ever run into copy protection when taping/DVR's something?

Lauren watches The Wendy Williams show ... and there is copy protection on it, so you can't record it (whether through the cable box or not - I tried both ways). The commercials before the show starts work fine, but then the show is garbled, blocky, and unwatchable. I called Cablevision about it, and they said the copy protection comes from the network, not them (I think this is a lie. I also think it's unfair that I shouldn't be able to tape something I'm not home to watch, yet I pay for.)

As a possible work around, I set the sleep timer on the TV before I left for work, so "the network" will think someone's watching TV, and let me record it. Maybe that will help.

Yay and I are now the proud parents of a Bonjour Coffee Press and I am enjoying currently the most amazing cup of coffee ever

I have been wanting one for a while and I got reminded about it yesterday watching the movie Kicking and Screaming when Will Ferrell gets addicted to caffeine and in one part he says, in true Will Ferrell fashion, "Did you know that in Europe every home has a coffee press.. IN EVERY ROOM"

that movie is surprisingly kind of funny

fivezero fivezeroOG 2003 ·

strangely enough, i thought this was funny. my favorite line in the whole movie is one that i can't get anyone else to agree with me on. he's yelling at the kids and one of the moms says "hey! ease up on him!" and he yells back "you ease up... on that corduroy jacket!" i just completely fall apart. not sure why.

juicymango juicymangoOG 2003 ·

yea we cracked up at that one

superhero superheroOG 2004 ·

i've had a french press for a while, and love it. I actually have two at home, and one for work that's a french press/starbucks travel mug. As a result of having two at home (one small and one large), our expensive coffee pot we were given as a gift when we got married is unused. We will give it away free to anyone that wants it!

For work, I bring ground coffee in a ziplock for my french press. I leave it on my desk sometimes, and people a lot of times think it's drugs. I can't wait for someone to tell HR about it - I'll have to get drug tested for coffee. haha. Good fun.

Assuming you may be using Buzz on Vista, like me, and therefore may be using ASIO4ALL as well, what's an appropiate ASIO buffer size, you reckon?
I haven't a clue what's appropriate...I got to install ASIO4ALL just now, and made the buffer size 160 samples. If you're set up in the same situation... what's a good figure? Is 160 good, or too high or too low you think? Latency seems to be corrected now, but is this pushing the limits of my computer or can I push the limits further?

If you're set up in an entirely different way for your music.. sorry for all the questioning.

Why don't you PM him with this nonsense... ;oP

theremin thereminOG 2002 ·

Because, it's an open question for anyone that happens to know. Only directed it to someone specific.. cuz I think he has experience with it. But anyone else could as well. Don't have to rip on everything I ever start a discussion about... or do you? I don't care if he answers or Zoe down the docks answers. Or maybe every now and then you can just as well ignore a musing instead of talking down to me on every little thing that I post, and that I happen to not think is nonsense. I can take a negative opinion here and there, and a bit of fun and a laugh... but where do you draw the line? I try to be respectful, please do the same for me. Thanks. All you had to do was glance at the post and move on if you're that bothered by it. Can't be that impossible for you, can it? I eventually worked this out myself yesterday... but, yeh, so, whatever. Bye now. Thanks. From now on, try your best to ignore something you don't have anything beneficial to say about. Coo?

But what fun is that? I like to hear your lengthy responses to my childish comments. LOL!

tesoro tesoroOG 2001 ·

wow.

yay yayOG 2004 ·

The simple answer is.. whatever sounds good. Every sound card is different, so you're best off just trial and error. If it's choppy, go up by 25-50. Rinse repeat. This is where you see a big difference between a generic on board sound card and commercial sound card, the buffering is usually way better, and latency (mainly caused by converting analog to digital and vice versa using buffers etc) is virtually non-existent. HTH

Oh and P.S., haven't used buzz machines in quite a while. They really need to make an alternative, way too buggy.

theremin thereminOG 2002 ·

Ok, coo, thanks.

Yeh, it is pretty annoying at times.

Did you hear that the creator of Buzz is supposedly working on a new Buzz tho finally?

But, if I could justify the expense at this time, I'd probably buy either Reason, Ableton Live, or Native Instruments.

..Maybe eventually.

fivezero fivezeroOG 2003 ·

Ableton Live? Who are you? Thomas Banglalter?

theremin thereminOG 2002 ·

Question for yay..

Still using Buzz these days?

I started using it again.
Have you ever used it in a 'live' sense?

I need to correct the latency.

My laptop is running Vista
And I'm running Buzz, to basically take advantage of the Midi
I have a Keyboard connected to my computer via a Midi-to-USB
And this way I can trigger VSTs, etc etc, among other things
And my Keyboard synth becomes virtually anything I wish it to be

Problem is latency..
The sound output is delayed.

After a lot of hours reading forums, etc... about the known problem with Vista's audio latency... I came across ASIO4ALL.

I wanted to ask you if you know whether it's gonna work or not.
I might try it tomorrow, so I can get some much needed sleep.

But, have any experience fixing latency for a similar or exact setup?

Again, the particulars:
Vista
RealTek High Def Audio Sound Card
Keyboard connected (MIDI OUT) to laptop via M-Audio Uno USB adapter
Buzz (MIDI IN)
3 GB RAM (stupid audio latency & Vista... I have 3 Gig!)

I'd post in a forum but figured you'd see it here first.

I downloaded ASIO4ALL but haven't installed yet.
Have you used it yourself? And does it work in this type of scenario?

it gets all bent out of shape when you spill grey goose inside of it

theremin thereminOG 2002 ·

It's Grey Goose that would probably improve it. Well, Belvedere actually, if you're really serious about improving it.

fivezero fivezeroOG 2003 ·

Belvedere is good. so is Effen.
