Page 5 of 7So I just finished reading the "Marketplace Witnessing" article in the 9/15 Watchtower and it discussed my congregations experience of Mall Witnessing at Garden State Plaza. I thought it was pretty cool that I actually knew who said what in the article.
this is really cool! Faith follows the thing heard - Romans 10:17. When you read an article or hear an experience, and you were actually there, it gives you faith that the other experiences you read are real experiences given by actual brothers and sisters. It really touches the heart.
uh i don't think we got that one yet. i think we just got august. i could be wrong though
Its actually off of the jw.org download site. You can get the article there.
oh so you didn't READ it, haha.
i like audio podcasts, but i have a lot of trouble with the WT ones b/c I have such a short commute. If I stop paying attention for a minute on any other type of podcast, it's not a big deal. If i do it with a WT podcast, i have no idea what's going on for the rest of the article.
My sister, Christina, is in a short movie...
Mercedes-Benz to be Petrol-free by 2015? Hmmm.

watched the whole thing. this guy is very, very entertaining.
"i will never say anything that couldn't stand as the last thing i ever say.
can we do that? no. and we'll make ourselves wrong and others wrong, but it is a possibility to live into"
how romantic.
haha, yeah he's a total romantic.
what's a good free counter to use for a website... fewest ads possible, stats if possible
sitemeter.com
Google Analytics. It's free and totally awesome.
oh yeah forgot about that ha
this is great! i just started using it on my mom's site. i don't see a hit counter that displays on the page though
hit counters are.. so.. 90s.
the point is that you don't need a hit counter. Google Analytics counts visits, and pageviews. you just login to the site to view the stats.
btw, you have to put the Google Analytics javascript code into EVERY page on your site.
hmm ok, thanks
I'm halfway to 50 today.
What's sad is that every five years, the result of that equation bumps up by ten.
Next year I'll be halfway to 60. :(
my PO's wife thinks it's fun to reverse the numbers of your age so she said I'm 52 whereas she is 35.
Me too.
dude when did everyone fall in love with flobots? they're good but it just seems like they're everywhere all of a sudden. we're going to their show bowery ballroom august 5. only $15 bucks if you're interested.
I just heard of them through my husband. I only know this song of theirs.
We won't make August 5th we'd just be getting back from camping.Shoot!
ya i heard this song a couple months ago on a Philly college radio station aaaaaaaand now it's everywhere
I'm so out of it when it comes to music, I hear everything through Brandon these days cause he has satalite, and regular radio sucks these days so all I listen to is my Ipod and Cd's.
ya i've pretty much only been listening to the philly college stations out here, i love them, such an eclectic mix
It’s taking over; this is not the way she planned
Pigeonholing her whole life into a worthless one life stand
She wants to make the world fit into her hand.
When you give the skin right off your back, and everything you have inside
The only things that you have left are the things you have to hide
It’s the choice.
She heard them talking through the wall,
She knew she wasn’t crazy
Couldn’t let up when she thought she might fall,
She knew no one would be there to save her
She’s just another lonely soul who would rather hear you say something mean than nothing at all
They said they couldn’t understand the way she lived
They said it was just too hard to forget and to forgive
Look outside, everything’s gray
Tell her something to quell her fears
Look inside, it’s all empty
Hide her eyes, cover her ears
Time has become her enemy
And she’s held back by the shackles of society, she’s not what she wanted to be
And in four years no one really noticed her face
And in four more no one will remember her name
It’s the choice she couldn’t make because she didn’t know
It’s the choice
No one should ever have to live alone
It’s the choice
She believed them when they told her she was going home, closed her eyes gently and watched a senseless world fade away.
wow, its weird finally being able to see the lyrics i've heard you sing a thousand times.
I know, righhhhhhtt??
Hey everyone! We are almost definitely playing a show at Centenary College around September-ish. Come one, come all. We'll keep you informed. I'm pretty sure it's totally free. WE won't be charging, that's for sure.
it's about time, all these old musicians getting married and getting lymes disease, sooo many excuses tsk tsk. No thats sounds pretty awsome. would you guys be playing in like a setlist of 10 other bands or somesing
no it would just be us, they said we could play for as long as we want to.
I love this song.
these are some videos from the show we played the other day. first one's a cover of american idiot, the second one's is an original. enjoy...
i'm really mad i missed this, lex your drumming was great
thanks
Just Got Licked

BY THE WAY i am never going in the ocean again
a dude fished this out at the beach near Ocean City

aw he's a cute ickle friendly shark
VIDEO of The DAY!
I've been at work for 40 minutes and I've watched this 3 times.
this is kind of like people getting punched in the face
only better
because it's dogs... and no one's jaw is getting dislocated
yeah this is positively mesmerizing
great video
note to self: do not bleach your own hair
pics!!
not yet, i thikn i am gonna go to a salon to fix it ha
i'm yellow-headed
actually, why not. It looks like the sun is on top of my head but don't worry it's just my hair. I was going for Platinum. I failed.

why do girls always do this to themselves?
cuz its fun
true.
for me hair dying is a form of stress relief, relaxation, and it's a slight addiction lol - i haven't had my natural hair color since about 15, and i go to the salon to get it colored but that doesn't quite satisfy like a do-it-at-home disaster and then the fixing of it it's kind of like a battle, and i must win it
my hair is super strong, so amazingly even after everything i put it through it's really healthy
well, we'll see after today i might need to shave it ha
yeah i love dying my hair cause you can totally change your look w/o even cutting your hair.
i think it looks cool....its different...i didnt even recognize you. lol
i put another process through it and now a lot of the orange is gone. Just one more step and I SHOULD be marilyn monroe platinum. ha. and if that doens't work, SALON.
Today - much nicer, but still need to tone it.

oh yeah....the other way looked like you had strawberry blonde highlights.

me likey, I keep trying to get lauren to do this ASAP
thanks.... just make sure she goes to a salon lol this yellow mess is not worth it
actually tell her to feel free to do it herself. When you have won the battle of the disaster, it really feels like you accomplished someting.

Lauren and I had a crazy weekend ... Nightmare of You show in a weird firehouse in North Caldwell on Friday, randomness on Saturday (good times, JP!) and the city on Sunday. We went to the Central Park Zoo, because Lauren wanted to go and I love the movie Madagascar. Here is my best shot of a fast moving penguin. (Sorry it's blurry, they move fast).

Dan I heard you had some scavenger hunt on Sat night??
wow that was some craziness, i started a hunt in the middle of a party
my favorites were -
get a phone number of someone you never met before
get a candle from somewhere in this house
get a sign from somewhere
get someone else's camera and take a picture with it of all of us
it was fun
Its a shame that I missed that, I would have enjoyed that... who won?
uh do you know jodie? somehow she cheated, though
Yeah I do, how did she cheat?
Is that the name of the band who played after Alex's? Those guys were surprisingly good.
Oh, and Alex... you're a good drummer. Nick and Dan need some more practice. LOL!
HEY! dont be dissin my homeboys, yo!
but thank you
Haha... I'm sure in a few years after they have gone thru puberty, they'll get better.
aaahh, you're a jerk.
Yes... That I am. It's fun to be bigger than everyone else and be the bully. LOL I threw Dan in the pool that night and Brent called me a bully. :o)
how about you go up on stage and try and perform in front of a ton of people, dan. oh wait, i forgot, you have no talent. unless you count being a moron as a talent.
Hey... It takes mad skills to be moronic.
That was Tin Tin. Their covers of Just Like Heaven and Yellow were great
The Incredible Hulk was pretty good. Definitely a vast improvement over The Hulk.
i want to to do this to everyone here on this site.
slap us or feed us your boogers?
you know your job doesn't pay you enough when you get excited over a $5 tip. $5 doesn't buy much nowadays.
uh huh....it buys a yummy small cup of golden spoon yogurt w/a topping!
$5 buys like 2 pounds of taco bell food.
have you ever seen "DOS MANOS" at Baja Fresh? Ridiculous.
OO I LOVE Baja Fresh
I could feed a family with 2 pounds of taco bell.
Jack-in-the-box tacos are cheaper...
5 bucks gets you a glass of cheap wine somewhere. Go DRINK UP and relax.
$5 bought a bottle of water at the last concert I went to.
ha- I just really love this picture of Jaws running through wheat. Brandon took this this past weekend. Thought I'd Share

Where do you live? Kansas? LOL
That's down at my sisters farm in Bridgeton. N.J has a little bit of everything.
that's two towns away from me. what congregation is she in? bridgeton or centerton?
I want to say centerton, but i am not positive.
i enjoyed your spelling, punctuation, and capitalization in this post.
ha ha, Don't you always. It spices up life just a bit.
oh, wow. i love it.
and i'm stealing it.
the open top region would be good for a goofy slogan.
STEF. Ok so how about I checked our your site and your sisters hair is 100% exactly what i have been wanting for mine. I have been looking and looking for pictures to take to my hair stylist, do you care if i stole one of your sissy? AND TWO - you and your beautiful happy family should come to ohio, or we to nj and we can trash MY dress. :)
MANDIE , MANDOLIN, MANDOLIA,, COME TO NJ we can hang out at the beach :)
Yeah I'll get you a straight up head shot if you want to use one of them or if one on the site is fine. Either Or.
Definitely come to NJ, I was just actually going to email you and ask when you were coming out. ha ha
ASAP!!! i'm coming now!!!
How cool is this phone going to be for Verizon! Its called "The Decoy" and will come out in 2 weeks! I think its awesome that the Bluetooth headset is actually attached to it!!

i think you're geek enough to graduate to a phone with a smart OS, you could run isilo for all WT library stuff, sync wirelessly over bluetooth, and a buncha other stuff
Well, for me, Im old school when it comes to that. I believe a phone should be a phone and a PDA a PDA. I have a classic Dell Axim which runs my WT library and all my other techy stuff, but I abuse my phones too much and go through them once a year, which makes it too expensive to have an all in one solution. But thanks for the suggestion!
hmm i didn't know you had an axim, i'll put you on my mailing list for ... uh ... new info over isilo ... LOL
Thanks Dan! I appreciate it!!
enjoy, sir.
PS - that goes for anyone else who needs all that stuff for PDA, let me know
Indian food is alright. Make sure to eat their Pita-like bread dipped in that Lamb Stuff.
Arab girls are sexy. Too bad they are covered up. But generally.. great complexion, light eyes, dark hair = gostaza!

mmmmmmmmmmmmm indian food = sooo good
mmmmmmmmm leftover indian food = so good
I want some.
It is the field! I FEEL it in my Gut.
Whats the reading for this week?
acts 1 - 4 sir
lauren and i are debating whether or not the field that was purchased with the 30 pieces of silver is the spot where judas killed himself.
i say no. lauren says yes.
I say no, since it seems that the priests used the money that Judas threw into the temple to purchase the field. The field and Judas' suicide seem to be unrelated. Of course, the Bible doesn't name the field either way, so we can't say for sure.
thanks
thanks
i think it is. it said that judas "purchased the field with the wages for unrighteousness" and then continues that "THAT FIELD was called...field of blood."
if the bible ever became a movie... i'm sure they'd hook that up, lol. y'know, for dramatic effect.
from Paradise Restored:
*** pm chap. 18 pp. 322-323 pars. 45-46 Consequences of Rejecting God’s Shepherd Ruler ***
“When it had become morning, all the chief priests and the older men of the people held a consultation against Jesus so as to put him to death. And, after binding him, they led him off and handed him over to Pilate the governor. Then Judas, who betrayed him, seeing he had been condemned, felt remorse and turned the thirty silver pieces back to the chief priests and older men, saying: ‘I sinned when I betrayed righteous blood.’ They said: ‘What is that to us? You must see to that!’ So he threw the silver pieces into the temple and withdrew, and went off and hanged himself. But the chief priests took the silver pieces and said: ‘It is not lawful to drop them into the sacred treasury, because they are the price of blood.’ After consulting together, they bought with them the potter’s field to bury strangers. Therefore that field has been called ‘Field of Blood’ to this very day. Then what was spoken through Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled, saying: ‘And they took the thirty silver pieces, the price upon the man that was priced, the one on whom some of the sons of Israel set a price, and they gave them for the potter’s field, according to what Jehovah had commanded me.’”—Matthew 27:1-10.Because the money used by the priests in the purchase of the potter’s field had been provided by Judas Iscariot, the apostle Peter speaks of Judas as having bought the field for the burial of Jews who died while visiting in Jerusalem or of proselytes. Peter said to the Christian congregation regarding Judas: “This very man, therefore, purchased a field with the wages for unrighteousness, and pitching head foremost [after hanging himself up high] he noisily burst in his midst and his intestines were poured out. It also became known to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that that field was called in their language A‧kel′da‧ma, that is, Field of Blood.” (Acts 1:18, 19) The priests merely acted for Judas in taking the money out of the temple sanctuary where Judas had thrown the thirty silver shekels and conveyed it to the seller of the potter’s field. The priests saw the unfitness of dropping the “price of blood” into the temple treasury, but at the same time they thought themselves fit to serve in that temple in spite of their having caused that blood to be shed.
Even after reading this, I still can't tell. You could interpret it either way.
to me ive always seen it as they called it because it was "blood" money...judas betrayal.
I was about to sign on and ask for some much needed love when a really dense customer made my day laughable. One of the businesses my bosses run is dial-up service. I was providing a customer tech support to set up her connection. We had one unsuccessful phone call because she is not computer savvy. It ended with her losing her temper and hanging up on me. She called back to leave a message for my boss to complain about me and didn't know it was me. She went on and on complaining about me and asked for my name. When I gave it, she still didn't know it was me. And I was able to keep her as a customer.
so who's getting an iPhone 3G? $199 ain't bad at all.
uh ohhh. prepare for teh iPhonez! full market saturation is imminent.
Hmmm... I may be tempted to get one.
and then armageddon would come
Yes indeed. LOL!
only if you use it in new york city
while listening to punk rawk
and not littering the world with babies
L O L
You two are punks. LOL
I'm hoping this brings down the cost of other phones
Busy weekend these past couple of days ... my brother in law Ben is getting married in two weeks, so we rented an SUV Friday night, went to the Yankees game, hit up Chelsea Piers and also saw Zohan ... I was tired by the end of the night. The scoreboard worked out AWESOME - they announced it over the loud speaker and put it on the scoreboard - our message of "Ben - pregnant is not a good reason to get married" was rejected by Yankee Stadium staff. Haters.
Saturday was a night of chillin in Piermont, which is an awesome waterfront town underneath the Tappan Zee Bridge (if you've never been, I highly recommend the drive up 9W with the scenic overlooks to Piermont).
Sunday was the Steve and Nick band playing at Cool Beans - a coffee house with an open mic in Oradell. They did 4 songs - Welcome to Paradise, Say it Ain't So, 99 Red Balloons, and On Mercury (from RHCP's "By the Way"). They played really well and Nick did the German part of 99 Red Balloons flawlessly. Nick also played the entire Super Mario Brothers theme song on his bass while Steve warmed up... just when I thought "wow, he knows the entire theme song, that was impressive" - Nick said "now - let's go underground!" and began to play the music when Mario goes down the pipes. It was hilarious.
Pics and video shortly. Stand by ..
Dan you forgot to mention about your shirt on Sunday night...
ahhh yes. i was wearing a shirt with a picture of nick wearing my skate helmet, with the phrase "have you seen my helmet?" which is locally famous
look for me to wear this shirt to every party i am invited to over the summer.
how sad is this....this "elder" (from inland) murdered his wife for money. he took out a life insurance policy on her for a million bucks...was having money problems and decided to kill his wife. how sick is that?
it's hot, yo
Yup... And I have no AC.
that was freaking cool.
So sleepy today... I could crawl into bed right now and sleep till tomorrow morning.
Where's Rocksupastar been?
oh yesterday was my 15 year baptism anniversary
the fact that something important in my life happened 15 years ago makes me feel mad old
today would have been my 1 yr anniversary with Leah. :/
Sorry dude. :o(
aw :(
Sorry man... Things will get better... they have to...
eh so apple announcement on Monday .. what do you think it'll be? I'm hoping for a 64GB touch with Wifi and Bluetooth, that'd be perfect for me.
Dude, if Apple ever included Bluetooth into their Ipod's I would finally get one...
3G iPhone of course, hopefully with a smaller size, more space, real GPS, and A2DP.
WWDC is not typically for consumer products like the iPod, though, so I doubt we'll see any revs there. Wait for MacWorld for that.
We'll probably see new Macbooks with multitouch, though.
i somewhat agree, yet i don't want to. You're telling me that a device that must be used on GSM has no updated equivalent for the rest of us that refuse to use AT&T/T-Mobile?
On another note, I just found out about Windows Sideshow for Windows Mobile 5/6 devices over bluetooth - available as a developer download. I can't wait to get home to set it up. If MS creates cool products like this, I'd be impressed enough to stay with their OS. My favorite feature is using your phone as a bluetooth remote for Powerpoint.
The iPod Touch wasn't launched until like 3 months after the iPhone came out. It was announced at a separate event. But, it may be different this time around since the iPod Touch is already available and updating both of them at the same time only makes sense.
Who knows, Steve Jobs is crazy.
i set up sideshow last night on my phone, used it as a powerpoint remote. Worked great, which is convienent because i have a presentation coming up next week that i can use it for.
how does this work? you tap the screen to go to the next slide or something?
yep. pretty much. although it can also link with your calendar, and do other outlook stuff too.
(yes i'm not sure of the advantages of that either)
boring....
Hulk vs Abomination
that's hardcore

Haha!
GO PENS!!!!!!!!!! DIE REDWINGS!!!!!!!!!!
im SO w/you on that. my boss was in such a foul mood yesterday cause the wings lost in triple OT (she's from MI)
Made this one last night. Lions vs. Hyenas!
I was expecting a Hyena vs Lion deathmatch. Very disappointed.
That's for part 2. Maybe tonight. See how tired I am.

more cat pictures
yo GFS you're moving?
No, not me, my brother is moving. He bought a house in Mahwah.
No, not me, my brother is moving. He bought a house in Mahwah.
I'm moving.
where you moving to?
Succasunna. Going to refinance my parents house with them and eventually try to buy them out. They can't afford it anymore. My dad is living off a disability retirement. My great-grandfather built the house, so they want to try to keep it in the family.
thats good! so it seems like a good move all around. your parents can help out with the kids too!
UGH bo didley AND yves st laurent died :(
Hey guys, i have a question, i've heard that if you upload songs to your ipod from one computer, and then want to upload from another computer, it deletes your first set of songs. Is this true??
well, no. not if you use "manually manage songs" instead of the "Automatic sync" function on your ipod.
i do not recommend doing this, to be honest. if you do choose to do it one time to get music, use Sharepod to take that music you took from your friend and put it onto your PC. then go back to automatic sync mode.
alternatively - why not just put the music on a flash drive until you get home? then just drag and drop to your itunes library.
They are both of our computers, one is the laptop, the other, our PC, and the laptop is where all my music is, and it's on the fritz. Rar.
Good news. I was just offered a Benefits Consultant position at Aflac. The office is 5 minutes away from me. I think I'm going to take it.
Cool.
sweet! and after a little while you can transfer to Cali ha!
grats!
YAY!!! congrats BV!!!
