I made a cheesy little Gnarls Barkley music video. I shot it in O'hare airport on the 7th. Enjoy, or not, lol.

juicymango #190 juicymangoOG 2003

Cutest video ever

if your heart doesn't flutter while watching this you are dead inside

fivezero #190.1 fivezeroOG 2003

now that was very, very touching, with the whitney houston track and all... i almost teared up.

but do you know how funny it would have been if they got both got mauled by his pride? you can't measure the comedy level of that scenario. off the chart. the cynical side of me was waiting for it.

juicymango #190.1.1 juicymangoOG 2003

yeah, it could have been the greatest lion attack video ever made

fivezero #190.1.1.1 fivezeroOG 2003

I smell a re-edit.... I'll keep you posted, lol.

juicymango juicymangoOG 2003

oh snapula

thefunkyfresh #190.2 thefunkyfreshFounder

very cool. but the real question is, why are you watching the view??

juicymango #190.2.1 juicymangoOG 2003

oh goodness no i wasn't watching the view silly. I found this video linked on another site.

juicymango #189 juicymangoOG 2003

Thanks, Sherri Shepherd (from the View) for mentioning that you were a JW

"Before I converted to Christianity, I was a Jehovah's Witness. In 1993, my mother was dying from diabetic complications. My sister was heavy into drugs, and we would have to go and get her from crack houses. I was in a very physically abusive relationship. I was sleeping with a lot of guys and had more abortions than I would like to count. I had very low self-esteem and just wanted to die. I felt if someone killed me, it wouldn't even make a difference. But God showed me that it would make a difference."

socalgal #189.1 socalgalOG 2003

she left being a jw to be a "christian"?

fivezero #189.1.1 fivezeroOG 2003

she's a knucklehead

juicymango #188 juicymangoOG 2003

so did everybody see Dark Knight this weekendia?

I think i was one of the last people in the US to see it, we saw it Sunday night. haha. By that time it already made like 200 million so everyone saw it.

it was amazing

too bad that instead of celebrating and swimming in all his money, Christian Bale is sitting in jail today, arrested for alleged domestic violence

socalgal #188.1 socalgalOG 2003

violence against his mom! how could anyone do that?

reaf #188.1.1 reafOG 2002

she probably deserved it. Christian Bale can do no wrong.

socalgal #188.1.1.1 socalgalOG 2003

HAHHA so you beat your mom when she deserves it? tsk tsk :P

reaf reafOG 2002

Heck yes, ha, We all have to be kept in line, Everyone deserves a good beat down once in a while.

socalgal socalgalOG 2003

50 funniest comedy sketches of all time. I don't agree with a lot of these, but it's cool that somebody did this

it's gonna take a while to watch all these.

thefunkyfresh #187.1.1 thefunkyfreshFounder

watch the david cross "pre-recorded call in show" one, it's really funny

fivezero #187.2 fivezeroOG 2003

My all time favorite sketch is Chris Farley's Colombian Coffee Crystals switcharoo. The one where he goes totally berserk in the restaraunt. I also like various Dave Chapelle skits. The State, Kids in the Hall, Trigger Happy Television.

socalgal #186 socalgalOG 2003

Hey can anyone recommend a reputable online backup system? Like mozy.com where I can upload things to back them up. I like the idea of off-site storage.

Anything your jobs are using, that I can trust?

Thanks
Kamila

iwz #184.1 iwz

Dear Kamila,

Are you looking for something that is completely free? Or are you willing to pay a bit?

I believe Microsoft's SkyDrive is free: http://skydrive.live.com However, it's not really designed for backups, but you could certainly use it for that.

There's also Microsoft's Live Mesh www.mesh.com which is similar.

And you could try to get into the Dropbox beta: http://www.getdropbox.com it's supposed to be really cool.

Those are all free.

If you're willing to pay, I'd recommend Jungle Disk which uses Amazon's online storage solution http://www.jungledisk.com It's $20 for the backup software, and then you pay Amazon low rates for the data storage you're using.

Sincerely,
Ian.

juicymango #184.1.1 juicymangoOG 2003

LOL wow

i didn't even realize i signed my name on that LOLOLOLOLOL

ooof i'm stressed this week hahahaha

juicymango #184.1.2 juicymangoOG 2003

thank you. I am willing to pay if it's really good and trustworthy

(my hard drive crashed last night, among like 100 other issues I am dealing with, dealing with brides sometimes is a little stressful lol)

iwz #184.1.2.1 iwz

oof, that sucks!

did you lose data???

jungledisk is really good.

juicymango juicymangoOG 2003

No, chris was able to restore it all and I'm working on that hard drive right now and just double-backing-up everything

superhero #184.2 superheroOG 2004

To "Lost Files in Philly" -

Might I suggest investing in 2 portable hard drives? The large file sizes used by photographers such as yourself can be quite time consuming for uploading - perhaps up to a week. Why not get two portable hard drives, leave one at a friends house and borrow it once a month to update it? Then have one for daily backups.

Sincerely -

"I backup my music religiously"

iwz #184.2.1 iwz

Dear Super Hero,

This is an excellent suggestion. This is what I would do.

Regards,
THE GOV'T

juicymango #184.2.2 juicymangoOG 2003

Yeah i have everything backed up to an external and on DVD's stored in a fire proof water proof safe

I like the idea of online storage even if I had another hard drive like at someones house or somewhere else off site because i could access it anywhere and (hopefully) they have backups ... what if my house and my friends house burns down at the same time and my fire proof safe fails?!?!?!?!?

LOL

thefunkyfresh #183 thefunkyfreshFounder

Can a few of you please help me out? This is for a course I'm taking. It only needs to be a few sentences, just EZ msg it to me. THANK YOU!!

What are people doing on the internet? Briefly interview 5 friends, family or work colleagues and find out what they are doing and why? What are their experiences and how has it changed lives?

superhero #183.1 superheroOG 2004

i think you should barter for people doing this. i'd take a nice bottle of wine or something.

thefunkyfresh #183.1.1 thefunkyfreshFounder

i don't know if 3 sentences is worth a bottle of wine. how about i'll paypal you $1

so... my band was invited by max 106.3 FM / WNNJ to play in a battle of the bands a week from saturday. But it's my one year wedding anniversary and I'm already going away for the weekend.

The set is only 20 minutes long though, so maybe the guys can just do it without me. Anybody on here able to learn to sing and/or play a few songs in a week?

Shameless. A new movie by BV.

Is it me or does youtube MURDER the quality of my videos. holy crap.

theremin #180.1 thereminOG 2002

If you want us to see a better quality version, past the link to the video instead of embedding, cuz isn't there sometime a link under the video on the YouTube page to click for higher quality? I noticed that after posting my video...since a higher quality version of the one I posted was over a GB, I had to post a lower quality and when it transferred to YouTube the quality reduced even more, but then I spotted that link under it. I clicked on it and it did improve the quality.

fivezero #180.1.1 fivezeroOG 2003

yeahhh, but 96% of people are too dumb to do that.

y'know? i'm not that into "hard" music, but glassjaw has always amazed me. it's not that this is stuff is evan that hard compared to what folks are into these days... it's this emotion is this kids voice. it's a queer species of insane. the opening words always gets me... and the drone-y guitar.

reaf #175.1 reafOG 2002

oh wow glassjaw i completely forgot about them.

fivezero #171.2 fivezeroOG 2003

I approve of this comment. I think most of the people on RS are funny, smart, and creative enough that we could film some really crazy stuff with no prep. If not... we all could just strike Dan Hall about the head and neck with sticks... that'd be funny to me.

feminism is funny. women are equal...hahaha, that's hysterical.

thefunkyfresh thefunkyfreshFounder alex

i know, feminists are so cute i can't even take it! thinking they have "rights" ...

reaf reafOG 2002 alex

It is hysterical. I am so not about feminism bologna. Woman should be home cooking dinner, cleaning the house, taken care of the kids. Yeah have a job do your little thing but your place is still to take care of those things. I can't stand feminism.

fivezero fivezeroOG 2003 reaf

i want a feminism bologna and cheese sammich. with spicey mustard.

juicymango juicymangoOG 2003 fivezero

stuff like this would have ruffled my feathers like 8-10 years ago

not no mo, yo

fivezero fivezeroOG 2003 juicymango

8-10 years ago? c'mon. i'm thinking maybe 8-10 WEEKS ago. maybe that PA lifestyle has changed this feminist's spots.

juicymango juicymangoOG 2003 fivezero

eh sometimes i guess

i mean i don't think it's fair that women earn 80% of what a man earns for doing the same exact job

Or a guy at a recent wedding saying "you know i'm shocked there are actually a lot of women photographers these days" and I just nodded but what I wanted to say was "oh yeah you should see how many of us are DOCTORS" haha

and yea i don't want to have children but i certainly don't think there's anything wrong with popping out babies and staying home to raise them - whatever makes you happy haha

and i clean and cook and take care of my household

OH and I certainly took my husband's last name lol

AND the "weaker vessel" scripture no longer makes my blood boil

oh great pick on the fact that I cannot bake

MY ONE WEAKNESS

waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!

hahaha

reaf reafOG 2002 reaf

The whole feminism movement to me is just a bunch of woman who feel they need to prove themselves.
Why do you need to prove yourself over anything get over it.Equal Rights, is not what your really going for your going out to prove you can do this or prove you can do that. So. Who cares.

I will give credit though because it is because of THOSE annoying woman that I can do whatever I want without getting beat up by the mens. However I think I would do whatever I wanted anyway. All with in reason and soundness of mind- I would hope. I like being the weaker vessel. But knowing if it came down to it I can take care of myself- Knowing I don't need a man to depend on.

reaf reafOG 2002 superhero

what is TDLR?

fivezero fivezeroOG 2003 reaf

fivezero fivezeroOG 2003 reaf

thefunkyfresh #165.9.1 thefunkyfreshFounder

in one of the upcoming scenes some people on this site will have cameos. we filmed them incognito so they don't even know they will be in it!!

superhero #165.9.1.1 superheroOG 2004

was it me at the district convention, working? that's awesome.

flomojopoanode #165.10 flomojopoanodeFounder

I just have to say that Matt did an awesome job editing this, because most of this was a vision, and was unscripted, so putting it all together and making it work the way it does.... yeah, it's a task and feat. Great job, Matty!

mandie #165.10.1 mandieOG 2001

"i'm not even leagally allowed to talk to you". Good stuff Good Good stuff.

mandie #160 mandieOG 2001

Allright, so this may sound really dumb that I don't know this..But someone help me out...There are currently 9 members of the governing body..who are they? I know Bro Barr and Bro Lett. Did Bro Herd pass away? Or is he still around? And how about Bro Barber? But those are the only ones that come to my mind. I know i'm awful. Someone tell me who the seven are now please!!!

fivezero #160.1 fivezeroOG 2003

tesoro #160.3 tesoroOG 2001

Bro Barber passed away.

mandie #160.4 mandieOG 2001 funny

Here's the thing, at pioneer school they told us that we should know this since they are pretty much "representatives" of the organization..but now i dont' feel so bad since i'm not the only one that doesn't know. so how about this...I was in chickfila today(like i am every day) and the manager comes up to me and is like, hey we voted and decided that you are a raging chickfila fan, and we are going to let you have a party on a wednesday night for you and 9 friends and we will give you all your food and drinks..haha..AWESOME!!! best day EVER!!

superhero #160.4.1 superheroOG 2004

wow, that's truly amazing.

forrestina #160.5 forrestinaOG 2002

you know who is NOT good?

Mariah Carey

like when she appeared on the scene in the early 90's it was like this voice no one ever heard and this clean girl next door image

now, she sounds terrible, all nasal and whispery.... and looks/dresses like she still thinks it's 1991 only more slutty

that's my rant for the day

reaf #151.1 reafOG 2002

forrestina #142 forrestinaOG 2002

At the risk of embarassing myself in front of some of the math pros on this site, I attempted to calculate the present-day worth of Solomon's 50,000 pounds of gold in our Watchtower study this week. I don't have the exact figure on me right now, but it was over $600 million. Imagine that times his 40 year reign: 30,000,000,000. And who knows if that figure accounts for other assets!

iwz #142.1 iwz

pretty crazy. nice work!
