1. Still images from the season finale of LOST last night -

2. Pictures taken from our visit to Kauai, Hawaii last August -

I'm almost positive that's the same spot. Shots from the opposite side of Waimea Canyon in the valley going into the ocean. How cool is that???

fivezero fivezeroOG 2003 ·

awesome pictures. would there be another chopper following it? filming it? unless it's enroute or doing some pick-ups shots. i'm pretty sure that IS the same chopper though. and yes, i'm too cool to say helicopter. maybe i'll start using helichopper.

thefunkyfresh thefunkyfreshFounder ·

no no, those are just 2 still shots from the same episode of LOST from last night. The last 3 pics are pics from my trip. I was just commenting that I think I was at the place where they took that shot

anyone wanna buy my Xterra??

I've had it since 2004 and I love it but I cannot pay for the gas anymore it's ridic, and plus i feel guilty about owning it

why anyone would buy an SUV these days is beyond me

if i was in the market to buy a car right now I'd buy a hybrid

you should totally be in used car sales!

4100 songs on my playlist and i'm tired of it all and can't decide what to listen to

ha

I HATE THAT

socalgal socalgalOG 2003 ·

that happens to me too....so i usually end up listening to an 80's station

yeah i chose Gnarls Barkley, can't stop listening to the new album... then forced myself to stop so I don't get sick of it.. but i'm going back to it haha

fivezero fivezeroOG 2003 ·

great. can't wait.

juicymango juicymangoOG 2003 ·

this was cool, was this in the winter??? Holy dead. so weird.

I kept thinking that some of those shots people were going to appear.

Like you know, the long shot of the thing in the middle of the boardwalk.. or the empty beach... etc., i thought maybe you went back this weekend and got that shot again with 320571257 people around.. and like spliced it in for a second kinda thing, that would be creeeepy

i kept waiting for it to happen

LOL

fivezero fivezeroOG 2003 ·

i shot this three weeks ago. and, y'know, for one second i entertained the idea of doing a piece where i splice in crowded shots in with the deserted shots, but i'd have to photograph the exact spot i was standing and come back and shoot it the same exact way at the same time of day... and the light was really unique that day. it just seems like a hassle, lol. thanks.

juicymango juicymangoOG 2003 ·

yeah, that's what i figured, it's probably easier to achieve something like that with photo like a slideshow type thing - I guess it's easier to crop a photo and ajust it to whatever you need

like allergy horrible??

i have never had seasonal allergies and I don't know if this is allergies or a cold or a sinus infection

it's so bad

like i mostly feel fine i just can't breathe, i keep sneezing and my eyes are kinda watering

AND so i am on Zyrtec-D which is making me sooo drowsy but hey at least I can breathe, breathing is good

Is this allergies???? AND IF SO.. WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

juicymango juicymangoOG 2003 ·

i spent a considerable amount of time outside this weekend, and the air was filled with pollen, so I do know the "why"

but.. WHY NOW??? i have never had allergies. This is teh suck

fivezero fivezeroOG 2003 ·

Maybe you're not used to the Bucks County pollen. I have pollen all over my car and that makes me mad. I'm hosing it down like every other day.

however the pollen i ingested this weekend was in NJ

morning, all.

how was your long weekend?

fivezero fivezeroOG 2003 ·

very, very good. very busy. yours?

iwz iwz ·

yeah, def. beautiful, beautiful weather. i don't think we'll have as nice a weekend all summer long.

we spent sunday and monday with my Uncle and his wife in the Bronx. went in service and to the Castle Hill congregation. Very nice and warm group there. Monday we went to the NY Botanical Gardens, a street fair in midtown, and dinner in the East Village.

fivezero fivezeroOG 2003 ·

sounds great. never been to the botanical gardens. should check it out. saturday night i visited some friends in franklin park. sunday i went on my friends boat, but it was too windy to wakeboard. grrr. monday i went to a bonfire at island beach state park. i'm pooped today.

superhero superheroOG 2004 ·

i had my district convention. i am exhausted.

highlights of the district convention are as follows:
1. we get new stuff
2. we watch a drama
3. brother algian gives talks.
4. Giacomo owns a Jesus style robe.

also - this may go without saying- my back dislikes the chairs at the Stanley Theater.

iwz iwz ·

Awesome! We don't have ours for a while yet.

Stanley's seats are certainly horribly uncomfortable.

g.f.s.rocks g.f.s.rocksOG 2001 ·

It wasnt Jesus style... I would call it more of a Paul or James the brother of John style...

fivezero fivezeroOG 2003 ·

I knowww. i've noticed too that the seats up top are a bit smaller than the seats down below. i'm not even that tall [5'9] and the seats up there killed me.

fivezero fivezeroOG 2003 ·

This movie was just all right. too much indy iconography. the soft camera filters made me wince along with the overuse of "out-of-nowhere" moody lighting. too many stereotypical characters. lots of stale biscuit dialogue. it was apparent that it was filmed almost entirely in a studio. some of the action was a little TOO unbelievable. shia swinging from vine to vine with the monkey platoon almost made me run out of the theater screaming...

still, somehow i really enjoyed and it want to see it again soon.

superhero superheroOG 2004 ·

the tarzan part is what pushed me over the edge from "dislike" to "extreme dislike".

fivezero fivezeroOG 2003 ·

i just realized i commented in the wrong place. but, yeah, that tarzan thing totally bummed me out. and you're right, dude--- if you like indy go pick up the trilogy before they make you buy the quadrilogy box set with kingdom of the crystal turd included. maybe they shouldn't have squeezed this one out... the first three were just too good.

Average Score: 69.9%

For the first time ever, New Jersey drivers rank as the dumbest. And to throw salt on the wound, they have the lowest average score ever. No score has been below 70 percent before.

While average test scores between the genders were similar, women were more likely to fail the test than men (20 percent versus 13 percent)

superhero superheroOG 2004 ·

i have the 8 songs too, and my favorite by far is dangerous ... that's really good. and track 7 ... thought I knew.

You know, 7 years ago i dispised weezer. now i sort of enjoy them, a lot.

superhero superheroOG 2004 ·

we were actually driving from from Chinatown last night and i was driving quite fast on the FDR to track 5 ... yeah good times, i think i scared lauren. sorry lauren!

socalgal socalgalOG 2003 ·

have you found target?

superhero superheroOG 2004 ·

yes, thank goodness. did i not post that?

the cat got out early tuesday morning. lauren cried non-stop (literally) and posted about 300 flyers, put an ad in the paper, we went door to door giving people flyers and spent hours search for the cat right after work until midnight and at 4 AM.

on saturday evening, a neighbor called us - we had left a flyer in their mailbox and Target was under their deck. He was actually facing off with their little Paris Hilton dog, so they gave him some milk and called us.

Lauren finally stopped crying, and things were much better. and the cat promptly bit me after i fed him.

socalgal socalgalOG 2003 ·

socalgal socalgalOG 2003 ·

ive been to cirque....it was good and i would only see it again if it was in vegas. when we caught the show, it was in a tent...and there were port-o-potties....you dont want to pay $85 to see a "tent" show and have port-o-potties.

Ugh, yea, def not. This is on the Avenue of the Arts in Philly....at a theatre.

flomojopoanode flomojopoanodeFounder ·

I haven't been to that particular cirque, but it's an amazing show, and I don't mind port-o-potties for one of the most amazing shows you'll ever see. So, a Columbian guy at my company is moving back to Columbia. He's had a rough past 7 years. His son died in the World Trade Center and it messed him up pretty bad. His personal life is a mess, although you wouldn't know that by seeing him at work. He's moving to Columbia in hopes of reflecting on things and straightening his life out. Anyway, I used his leaving and his issues as a good way to witness to him. I gave him a magazine on having peace of mind and another on death and is there anything after that. When I gave them to him he was touched. He gave me a hug and said he would read the magazines. He came back again an hour later to my cubicle and told me that what I did was the best thing anyone could do for him right now, or something to that affect. Hopefully the articles will help him cope and draw him to the truth.

About 5 years ago I had some pretty bad chest pain and went to the ER. The cardiologist there said I had mitral valve regurgitation. I got a second opinion and that doc said I was fine. So I would say now is a good time to get it rechecked.

I LOVE DOYLESTOWN

yeah it's pretty cool. That place with the banner is a bar/restaurant, then there's the Gap, then another bar/restaurant, then if you make a left there down the street at the light, there's a indie movie theater, a bunch of other shops and artsy things

me loves

Kung Fu'd. The restaurant. Think about it.

you order your food, and its served up Kung Fu style. Hot Bowls of Wan Tan Soup are kicked to your table (or mouth if you so desire). Asian Salads 1 inch punched right into your gullet. Egg Roll nunchuks. Sushi Rolls punted from a safe distance, say 30 to 40 inches. Asparagus Spears fired by skilled, horse-mounted archers. Sliced tomato throwing stars thrown by ninjas dropping out of the ventilation. Heads rolling everywhere. And of course broccoli. everywhere....

thefunkyfresh thefunkyfreshFounder ·

haha, i love it

iwz iwz ·

i'd totally eat there. the salad sounds delectable!

ok so we went to see Nicole Atkins at "Blend" in Ridgewood over the weekend. It's a swanky "rich people" over 25 place, that strangely has a nice bar downstairs and a stage. Sort of like an older, more mature, upscale Maxwell's (in Hoboken). It's very clean, and I highly recommend the drive to this place if any of your favorite bands are playing there in the near future. Plus, you can talk to the band quite easily after the show. We've seen Nightmare of You there also.

So Nicole played, and it was very good - my favorite part was when she did a cover of the Doors "The Crystal Ship", which is a really good song that I haven't heard in a long time. She did all her songs, and some rare stuff too. There were a lot of scary hippie type girls that were REALLY weird and VERY drunk, also.

After the show we waited around for a few minutes and Nicole came to the merch table. We were with Tina and Adam, and Adam and Lauren just ran up to Nicole and started babbling incessantly about life, music, her album, promotion, and everything in between. I was actually a little creeped out. Nicole was EXTREMELY taken aback but got more comfortable as they all continued talking. Once they were done, I told her we found out about the music from our friend Kamila, who goes by the name "Mashed Potatoes". She was very grateful for the promotion, and says "Thank you".

juicymango juicymangoOG 2003 ·

haha that is funny and great

Hey guys, i need a good setting/intro for my talk on Ananias & Sapphira for next week. The talk is w/ a 14year old girl, so i was thinking something to do w/ school... like a bake sale to raise money for new computers for their school or something, and maybe she'd keep some of the money for herself, i dunno. Thoughts? Suggestions?

superhero superheroOG 2004 ·

have her say that "some of the kids at school are planning on keeping the money from the girl scout cookies that they sold for themselves" ... because lord knows i love girl scout cookies

(if you are bothered by girl scout cookies you should eat some of them sometime)

tesoro tesoroOG 2001 ·

haha, dork. Yea, i'm doing it on raising money for school computers i'm thinknig, cuz a witness wouldn't raise money for the troops or something. lol Or maybe i should do it, that they are trying to raise money for the people in Burma?

gr, getting started is the hardest part.

thefunkyfresh thefunkyfreshFounder ·

how about she killed someone and she's wondering if she should turn herself into the authorities... i bet nobody's ever done that

fivezero fivezeroOG 2003 ·

oh, man. that'd be sooo funny.

"i don't know how it happened. i just kept hitting her until she stopped moving..."
