SNOWWWWWWWW! First good snow of the year! Well, only like 2inches, but still!

And i saw gas for $1.73. I'm a happy girl today. :)

I detest having to warm up the car =( I leave my apartment looking like an escaped convict or some sort of a PI reject, concealed beneath my hoodie and popped collar Brrrrrrrrrr!

Is there a *66 type function for cell phones or does *66 work with mobile phones??? Earlier I answered a call on my cell and when I did it started ringing, seemed a little backwards to me. Has this happened to anyone else???

TODAY I FINALLY HAD PAKISTANI FOOD DELICIOUS

superhero superheroOG 2004 ·

is this actually just indian food? that scares me.

originalsnob originalsnobOG 2004 ·

Great lesson for book study!!!
Certain points really resonated with me individually.

It's easy to see things in b&w even though we're aware that not all matters are. The part of the lesson that touched on TRUTH was very appropriate; how depending on the circumstances individuals might reach into that "Grey area" between the exact truth of a matter and the technicalities surrounding the truth.

Considering this specific topic one series of events in my recent past makes SO much more sense to me now than at the time. In my experience I knew that I was telling the truth, COMPLETELY, yet somehow I still struck a sour chord.

Where we considered how some employ manipulation or exclusion of the truth for their convenience...

This helped clear up SO much for me!
In my experience, if someone is dealing in a totally truthful manner things tend to be less complicated. If some issue should arise it can be solved with minimal incident (hurt feelings, severed ties etc.)==What I'm used to.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, it's interesting to note how an individual caught in a series of partial truths perhaps because they don't want to lie yet are not willing to own up to their short coming(s) might INSTEAD take a defensive and very hostile position.==What I observed.

Oh well, know I know my honesty ruffled some feathers and scratched a guilty conscience ;)

possibly the last ever episode of Pushing Daisies is on tonight at 8 on ABC

:(

forrestina forrestinaOG 2002 ·

any tips on sorting Watchtower and Awake podcasts so the items appear in the same order as the magazines?

forrestina forrestinaOG 2002 ·

nevermind I figured something out.

iwz iwz ·

are you subscribed to the MP3 version of the podcast? if so, i'd recommend switching to the AAC version. it's a single file with the articles as chapters. works out much nicer.

of course, you can only play it on iPods or iTunes.

forrestina forrestinaOG 2002 ·

I subscribed to the MP3 version. This is for the blind sister I work for. We were trying to go CD-less because of the announcements about how much cheaper digital downloads are for the organization. I'm still trying to figure out how she will play this when I am not here. I'm looking to buy her an MP3 player that she could actually operate. It needs to have really large buttons because she lost feeling in her fingers also. Good to know about the AAC though!

iwz iwz ·

Oh, ok, that's really cool of you!

Well, you can also easily use iTunes to burn the AAC to a CD. It will automatically do the tracks and split it onto two CDs. Just create a new playlist, drop the podcast in, and hit Burn.

And if you use rewritable CDs, that would be pretty cost-effective.

superhero superheroOG 2004 ·

well, she probably won't be able to play re-writeables in the car... not that a blind sister should be driving.

iwz iwz ·

lol. you're a jerk!

but, depends on the media and the cd player.

forrestina forrestinaOG 2002 ·

she has a car, but I do the driving. home-burned CDs won't play in there, but I think she may have a portable CD player.

How was everyone's weekend? We have been aux. pioneering and focusing on service like crazy ... but we somehow still have those tracts left!! Also we had the CO this week, although he was sick so we had a sub.

How many of you are pioneering this month?

forrestina forrestinaOG 2002 ·

It was a bit confusing this morning for some that we weren't doing the tracts anymore. That was a fun campaign though!

Nobody laugh! I just cried through a Hallmark movie. My friend's husband was harassing me in service today about how he's forced to watch the WE network. Guess my guilty pleasure is Hallmark. Feeling a little nostalgic, so I started going through old albums and I found a picture where I was like 16! I remember thinking the baby looked like me! TAYLOR!!! I wish I could see her now, I can't believe how fast eight years flies WOW

originalsnob originalsnobOG 2004 ·

YAY ME!

I'm eligible for a celly upgrade and it's $50 towards whatever I upgrade to =D

Any recommendations??? Right now I'm between Motorola MOTORIZR Z6tv OR Nokia 6205 The Dark Knight Edition.

Usually I'm Miss Practicality where my phone is concerned but I think I can get a little more invested this choice around ;)

originalsnob originalsnobOG 2004 ·

I still need suggestions, things have been crazy busy and I didn't switch yet...Help Please?

originalsnob originalsnobOG 2004 ·

HAHA! I luv when people bud into THE BUSINESS and get it ALL wrong!
To a degree I feel bad for meddlesome individuals that MUST interfere with things that they are TOTALLY or at least partially uninformed on...
It either means life has dealt them a hand they can't play or that they just are miserable people. Sometimes people that are "just trying to help" do much more damage than good. Rainy days clear the cobwebs for anyone else???

here's a new video... all of these so far were supposed to be part of the same episode, but we kind of lost steam while filming and have since moved onto other projects. i had written other parts and i'm disappointed they never got filmed, but i think these others work on their own though.

thefunkyfresh thefunkyfreshFounder ·

haha, yeah we just walked in and started filming. we had to stop a few times cuz guys were walking into the dressing room and looking at us like, "what is going on...?"

when we were doing the part where he kicks me out a lady came up to him and said "when you have a minute can you help my husband find something?"

socalgal socalgalOG 2003 ·

HAHAHA thats rad! good thing they didnt report you to security.

forrestina forrestinaOG 2002 ·

I feel like I'm a patient on House. I had some minor dental work yesterday and had a tremendously hard time keeping my jaw open. The dentist automatically thought TMJ due to a past serious blow to the jaw, but they ruled that out today. My right side of my body (where the jaw aches) is presenting weak in Ortho tests. And they also want to test for sleep apnea.

originalsnob originalsnobOG 2004 ·

Isn't sleep apnea that condition where you stop breathing in your sleep???
Can mispositioning of your jaw cause sleep apnea?
Hope everything works out!
One of my friends just told me they thought I had died this one night because they rolled over and saw that I'd stopped breathing =(

YIKES

forrestina forrestinaOG 2002 ·

yea that's what sleep apnea is and it obviously can be a cause of death. Although I don't understand how it could be related to my jaw issues. I'm going to discuss this with mom tonight since she's a nurse.

originalsnob originalsnobOG 2004 ·

Anyone familiar with MS Outlook is probably aware of the actions menu, from there you can recall, recall AND delete, or recall amend and resend messages. Pretty sure that sent messages can be opened and display whether they've been viewed/opened as well.

I was curious as to whether any webmail services offer capabilities similar to those of Outlook? For work related correspondences @ home I use gmail then hotmail as a secondary. Wondering if gmail has a sent receipt function...anyone know???

Thaks!

turns out the mantis somehow got inside the house and two of our cats were "playing" with it. mom had put it outside, but it was already injured to the point that it couldn't move. after that, I stepped on it and sent it further down the road to death. some wild turkey is going to have a feast.

The unique twist to things is that my friend said the girls can pick our own dresses, so that they're reflective of our individual style.

When the laptop is only working form the battery the screen is very dim. how do i change that. I can't find it.

superhero superheroOG 2004 ·

under "power" settings. choose which profile you want - you most likely want "high power" or "max power" or something like that. alternatively you can just raise the brightness on the screen.

originalsnob originalsnobOG 2004 ·

If anything ever happens to me, I just want it documented somewhere that the tenant below me is responsible.

Most of us within our respective neighborhoods/dwellings are pleasant, considerate, and definitely non confrontational. As a single woman of a small stature I am all the more so introverted at home: low volume TV viewing/video gaming/music playing, my guests maintain a respectful noise level at all times, and my home happens to be a shoes off dwelling for comfort and cleanliness.

WHY DO I OF ALL PEOPLE HAVE A PSYCHO VECINO????
